Cvs weekly 8/9-8/16

:thumbsup2 Was he buying a case of beer? Maybe he was late to the party! ;)

Around here we have quite a few tourists/lakers (weekend lake visitors) in our town. When I did the photo book deal I had one ECB that was for 4 books all together. Of course it beeped requiring the manager's key because it was a high amount. There was an older laker couple behind me that were buying a bottle of booze and beer. I apologized for the hold up but they were ok with it. When they saw me only pay around $1 for my whole purchase and saw my register tape was as long as I am tall they couldn't believe it. The wife literally said Woooohooo honey you know you're stuff!!!! I was laughing by then. Her husband asked me outside if he could see the receipt.....he did this :scared1: when he saw my savings for the year on that card was well over $800...which is low around here I know.

$800 sounds amazing to me! I am up to about $350. My family thinks I am the queen of deals. Next to some of you I am small potatoes, but they don't need to know that!

my register tape was as long as I am tall

I love it when that happens!

Hi Lana,
You need your own blog! (or share it if you already have one) I have been having just a little success with that same grocery deal here in Illinois. It seems not many people around here really get into this super couponing thing. I really feel lost a lot of the time with the grocery deals. Its easier with CVS since its national. The way you explain things and take the time to help everyone out is very much appreciated!

Thanks, that's so sweet of you to say. I only like writing about CVS deals with the people who post here. Feels like I am in a room surrounded by old and new friends.

I am not good at grocery store couponing but I pretended it was like a drugstore trip to get through these last few days, I only did the deal and that's it. Grocery stores overwhelm me, I like small stores like Aldi where I can memorize where everything is.

Me to. There is one site I use fro Publix, called Publix for pennies, but right now I have it worked out so that I get most of our stuff from CVS or Sam's. I haven't seen Target or Walmart in months. Almost all of the kid's school supplies were free at CVS or part of my Sam's (or cheap at CVS stuff)

englishrose47- I'm not sure if you still needed these, Walgreens has 2" 3 ring binders BOGO- net cost 2/$5.99.

Carnation Instant Breakfast deal

My CVS had Carnation Instant Breakfast discounted to $1.42. There is a coupon in today's redplum for $1 off 2 products.

Carnation Instant Breakfast is located with the diet and nutritional supplements.

$5 off $25 is beeping. The cashier this morning said to me that it's so stupid to send out coupons that beep and pushed it through.
I bought the revlon makeup, 2 cover girl products, irish spring wash, and a Bic Soliel razor. Before coupons it was over $40. I paid $6 out of pocket and 3.94 of that was TAX :sad2:. The guy behind me in line told me good job!

BREAKING News (lol): Everyone can get a $5/25 coupon at CVS.com.

  • On the main page there is a box that has 4 sections that rotate, one is for taking a Ready-Fill Quiz.
  • Take the quiz and you'll be able to print a coupon, print one for each card you have (its a one-time use coupon per card).
  • If you have more than 1 computer, take the quiz on a different computer and a new code will be generated, print one for each card you have.

Lana it sounds so good and TIA for always helping us. :goodvibes

I really want to do this but I can't even see / find the rotating sections! When you say rotating, are they actually moving / changing on the site? Because nothing is moving or rotating on the site. Is it my computer yet again? Could some please tell me *specifically* where to look? Thanks!

Maggie. Did the Ajax printable beep?:rolleyes1

LanaJae,
YOU ROCK GIRL!!!
Thank you so much for telling us how to delete the flash cookie! WooHoo!
I did it. It's easy peasy (and I was worried I'd screw something up!) and I got a different # the second time too. YAY!!
I'll be heading out soon for some CVSing.
BTW, DH is on the road all day long. So I have made it his mission to collect a ready fill book at each CVS he sees. So far he got 3 for me on Friday and none of them were from our local stores.
I'm making him hit the locat ones this weekend. Good reason to give him to take his motorcycle out for a ride. :cool2:
:worship::worship: Thank you! Thank you! LanaJae :worship::worship:

OOOHHHHHH I am so angry!
One of these days my mouth is going to get me in trouble.:rolleyes1

Good for you for saying something! I probably wouldn't have said anything and then would have thought about it all night letting it get to me! :confused3:worship:

...hmm I could use you at my house to talk to my DS about rules:rotfl2:

I'll be there as soon as my kids are fixed :lmao: - they don't listen to a word I say!

EDIT: See post below instead - I never tried it myself so we're going to make sticklovestink tell us the secret:

Your husband is great!! Can he come talk to mine? LOL!

P.S. to everyone - you don't have to thank me, but thanks to you all too and you're welcome, I'm happy to be able to have somewhere to write about stuff like this!

Oh - I am so dense! On the main page at CVS, there is an advertising box at the top and it shows 4 different ads that keep playing over and over. You just have to wait until you see the "Ready-Fill" one and click on it - does that make sense?

It's the first one that shows as soon as you go to CVS.com, but about 3 seconds later it changes to a $10/50 online ad and then one for Tena products, etc. It will show the Ready-Fill one again if you miss it.

It looks like you figured it out before I could post. ;)

Or there is the spot that looks 'roughly' like a 4 leafed clover w/ a 1, 2, 3, = choices. If you click on the 1, then the choice to take the quiz will pop up immediately. Or at least for me it did. And BTW at the end, it will ask you a question about giving permission to store info and you choose accept or deny. well if you pick deny, you won't have to delete the cookie because it won't get to leave one. It won't ask this question until the 2nd time you do the survey (after having deleted the cookie the first time) or at least that was my experience. Good Luck everyone. :goodvibes

I don't have a huge coupon stockpile so I did what I could with what I had!

#1
Revlon foundation - $9.99

Used $6.98 ECB
$3.75 OOP
Received $9.99 ECB and surprise $4 off $20 ECB!

#2
2 Snickers 2/$1
Coppertone $8.99
2 Covergirl Outlast lipstain $8.99 x2

Used
$1/2 Snickers Q
$5 Coppertone Q
$2.50/2 Covergirl Q
$9.99 ECB
$4.00 ECB

OOP $7.62
Received $2 ECB Coppertone, $2 ECB Covergirl, surprise $2 off $10 ECB for vitamins

So my totals:
Used $20.97 ECB
Paid $11.37 OOP (of which $2.88 is tax)
Received $19.99 ECB

I also got the coupon book from the pharmacy but haven't used any of those coupons yet. I could have done better, but I felt pretty good about my haul!

My trip summary says "Today you saved $10.98" on my Revlon receipt and "Today you saved $27.27" on the Coppertone/Covergirl receipt.
