Cvs weekly 11/1-11/8

Hi guys...I'm a CVS newbie. I've only been doing it a few weeks, but I have a fairly basic question to ask. In order to get ECB's, do all of the products need to be purchased in the same transaction?

To be more specific, I went to my CVS last night to do the Glade deal, but they only had 3 of the refills. Could I have purchased those three and then gone to another CVS to purchase the 4th in order to the get the ECB's? Or does it all have to be purchased in the same transaction?

Oh, and thanks a bunch for the $5 off of $30!

You do not have to purchase them at the same time, it will keep track on your account. So yes, you could have gotten 3 at one store and 1 at another and gotten the ECB.

Just be careful with doing back to back transactions (we sometimes do that to use multiple $X/$XX coupons or to spend our ECB's to have the lowest OOP). Sometimes the computer will not update quickly enough and may not be updated yet for your first transaction.

Hey guys! Just got back, go figure there's a new quiz now. :rotfl:

Anyways, found some good deals that I didn't see posted that I thought I would share. My store had Dawn Hand Renewal for 97 cents each and I had $1 coupons from the Home Made Simple book so they were a .03 MM!

My Tylenol boxes had stickies on them to save $2 now so I bought four with the Q's.
$24 for four boxes Tylenol Cold Sinus
- $8 Q's (4 x $2)
- $10 ECB
= $6 for four boxes of Tylenol Cold Sinus.

Little more OOP but we use that, so a good deal in my house!

Also, there were packages of the Fruitopia that we cellophaned together, a conditioner and a shampoo on sale for 2 for $5. So I bought two of those (acutally four altogether) minus two $2 Q's from Reinventing Beauty Mag and only paid $1 for four!

Sorry, if that was confusing! Just thought I'd spread the word for others!

Between two cards, I spent $25.66 OOP, saved $81.51 and got back $25 in ECB. :thumbsup2

Thanks again everyone for all the tips, I would never have been able to do this without you guys!!! :grouphug:

Will CVS accept more than 1 $25 GC coupon if you have more than 1 Rx to purchase? I have 4 different $24 GC coupons that are good for new prescriptions. My husband has 3 new prescriptions that need to be filled. Should I fill them 1 at a time or can I do 2 at a time or will they let me use 3 coupons at 1 time?

Okay I have a CVS card thingie they scan each time I am there and I get those 4 dollar coupons off 20 bucks spent from time to time. I occasionally get a better one with like 8 bucks of any amt. spent. So how do you all get all these great CVS buys. I would like to know the tricks of the trade. Thanks

When I filled two new prescriptions a week ago at the same time, the pharmacist let me use a competitor's coupon on each one. I couldn't locate a $25 coupon for new Rx's (they said transferred Rx's only) so I got $10 on each one.

You have to try to roll the ECB's you have for products that produce more ECB's from week to week and lately it's been pretty hard to do that. If you can combine a sale price with a CVS coupon with a mfg. coupon, you can get your OOP down pretty low plus hopefully get ECB's back to use next time.

Hi! I just read on another site that if you go to www.sunset.com that in the advertisement box comes up a coupon for $5.00 off CVS. You have to keep refreshing until the ad comes up with the CVS one, there are many different ads There are 2 other CVS ads one with a clock and one with somehting else that do not give the coupon. I can get to the ad for $5.00 but it is some sort of peel back game to get the coupon and I just tried for an hour and could not figure it out. If someome figures it out could they please post step by step how to do it. They say you can only print it one time on the other site I read on.
Thanks,
PammyPoppins
LanaJae, I know you will be able to figure this out and help me!

AWESOME!
1. Roll over the add to expand it
2. Roll over each Square where it says to peel it off
3. The print coupon link is revelaed after you peel of the last one.

Make sure you keep your mouse cursor inside the Ad window, otherwise it collapses and resets.

So are there coupons that you actually have to clip in the CVS flyers? So purchase the products that give you ECB's and if you have coupons for those same products..that gives you savings too. Oh and so are you saying you can use a CVS coupon, mfg. coupon at the same time??

No, they have a "clip free coupon" system when you see a coupon in their monthly booklet or weekly flyer which means no need for you to cut anything out from the weekly or monthly ads. You will get the sale price merely by them scanning your CVS card. However, CVS coupons can be obtained from the end of your receipt, from a red scanner, or from CVS's Reinventing Beauty magazine. If your store has a red scanner, swipe your CVS card as many times as possible until it tells you no more coupons today; try again tomorrow. The blue scanners won't spit out coupons and just do price checks.

Yes, you can use a CVS coupon and a mfg. coupon on the same product in the same purchase. HTH!

That's a great q. Thanks!

OK, I just got back and I think this was probably my 2nd or 3rd best trip as far as the amount saved. Last time was when they had the Revlon nail polish $3.99 get $3.00 ECB. Oh and I got a great great deal on the Glade Sense and Spray kits that were on sale I think two weeks ago- I had a bunch of $4.00 off coupons. Anyway here's what I got tonight - I got lucky cause this store didn't have the Glade products marked so they were all there!

2 Glade Scented Oil Candle Holders
6 Glade Scented Oil Refills
1 Olay Quench Lotion
1 Olay Body Wash
1 Dawn Dishwashing Liquid
- .20 Dawn coupon
- 1.00 Olay Body Wash coupon
- 1.00 ECBs
- 2.00 ECBs
- 4.00 CVS coupon
- 4.69 Buy 2 get 1 free Glade refills coupon
- 4.69 Buy one holder get refill free Glade coupon
- 18.00 ECBs

I didn't realize he missed one of my Olay coupons until just now. So my total should have been $1 less, haha.

Total: $4.94 including tax
Saved: $51.72

I'm pretty pleased with myself. Of course what the heck am I going to do with all of my scented oil candles!

So you can use multiple ECBs on one product??

Definitely. ECBs are like cash, however there are exclusions for things like gift cards and I think prescriptions. Otherwise you can use them like cash for your purchases.

Okay so let me try this one more time. I look at the circular...see what is on sale. IF I actually use the product and go and buy it....some of these items will also give you another ECB's?? I bought Bounty paper towel on sale this week there....so I could also use a mfg. coupon to do with that too right. I just want to get all of this straight before I attempt any of these money savings missions. LOL.
