Cvs weekly 1/31-2/6

I couldn't make it out today. I have a feeling that by the time I get there the Dove for Men will be gone. I hope I can find that Pringles tearpad!
I found the tearpads at Walgreens too. Maybe you can check there.

And for those of you wondering (btw thanks for all the well wishes!) I didn't get that job. I did get some great feedback from the company which I appreciated, but basically they said they felt I was overqualified for the position and they didn't want someone who would leave in a year or two. Very frustrating :sad2: At least it was a good CVS/Rite Aid week to take my mind off things!

So sorry! I will never understand that overqualified line - I think it means that the person interviewing you is afraid you are better than they are.

okay what I did (and mind you I bought things we needed versus what would be cheapest way to do it)

3 sprites = $11
4 cans pringles = $6, also had $1.00 off four coupon
1 bounty paper towels - $5.99 plus I have a $2 ecoupon for $2 to go into my Upromise account
2 2liter coke products - $1.25 each
duracell batteries - $2.99
total of $28.48 before coupons and such. I considered doing the febreeze, but I just don't use it much :sad2:

net total per item $1.40 and my boys are stocked up on soda for over 2 weeks!

For unilever promo I got
3 ragu for $5, had $1.25 coupon
2 lipton 100 count tea bags for $5, plus $0.60 coupon
total was $10 - $1.85 in coupons and $3 EB. They were all out of skippy otherwise I would have bought 3 of those and had $1.20 in coupons :sad2:
net total per item $1.03.
But the extra $2.00 eb I got at the scanner walking in sure did help!

my colgate was $.199 - $0.75 coupon -$1 eb for a net total of $0.24

I will have to go back and check to see if they get in more of the dove. Not sure if the EB will be a month long thing or not (or if I can't get it until next week do we still get the EB's?)

I must confess that I bought more SoyJoy bars this week. I have reached my limit at least. The local food pantry is always glad to get them! Which is good because no one in the three families I shop for would touch them!

I did get the Dove for Men (two) and the Colgate. So I am ahead on both of those deals. I haven't had too many ECB's to roll - got distracted by the holidays and vacation! So it will be nice to get back up to speed on the CVS game.

Puffkin, sorry to hear about the job. I've never understood the overqualified line. I was way over qualified for my last job and I've been with the company for 15 years now!

Can someone let me know which Huggies products are part of the sale? It isn't in my ad and none of my stores have them marked so I guess we're not participating around here. :( Actually I need to check my ad again as I think most of the things you all are talking about are missing! :scared1:

Oh, and does anyone still have the link or a pdf of that expired $5/$20 coupon that's still working? I thought I saved it but apparently I didn't. Thanks so much!

ETA- I have an entirely different ad I think, and there isn't worth mentioning in it. It's quite sad looking, actually. I had a coupon for $2 off Huggies wipes that expired yesterday so I used it and it didn't list it towards the ECB deal on my reciept so I'm guessing we got the shaft this week.

If you have any of the Febreeze BOGO coupons they make the P&G deal pretty good. I did that on both cards and threw in a few batteries and some Powerade since we needed them. I also did the Toothpaste and got the body wash on both cards. I broke even for the day :thumbsup2

For all my Rite Aid peeps they have a healthy heart promo going on that if you spend $50 on certain products you get a $25 gift card. I did the following transaction for each account:
14.99 Meter
14.99 Flexamin (BOGO, so got two bottles)
15.98 Zantac (dad needed)
5.49 Ecotrin Aspirin (DH uses)
-14.99 Meter q
-12.00 2 Flexamin q's
-5.00 $5/2 Zantac q
-2.00 Ecotrin Q
$17.46 total but I will get back a $25 gift card, so profit of $7.54 on each account :thumbsup2There are lots of other combos you could do to probably make out better, but we needed some of those products so I found a deal to make those work

 I know you had your hopes up. Hang in there you never know what is around the corner.

:thumbsup2 I second that Paula! I think she was afraid Puffkin was pretty than her:banana::rolleyes:

It looks like you are in the test market area. Does your ad have soup cans on the front. Something like 3/$1?

Maggie

Yeah, it does. What exactly does the test market mean? I mean, besides the obvious... :p If I remember a while back when a couple of the ladies here were in one it seemed to be a good thing for them, but judging by this ad (and how bad I wanted that diaper deal ;)) this kinds stinks unless I'm missing something.

I'm not exactly sure, except that you don't get the same ad as the majority of the country.

Sometimes it's a much better ad but that's rare. I think in the past sometimes the week you miss comes along at a later date and sometimes you never get the same deal. I recall one time during a test ad the regular ad came to the test ad area a week or so later but most of the time you just don't get it.

Confused...

First time CVS'r here.

The ad that I'm looking at online doesn't say anything about the spend $25 on coke products and get $10 back. My ad says 3/$8.

If it is spend $25 get $10. For this transaction I would get $10 in ECB? Could I then do another transaction right after that for some other products and use the $10 ECB?

Thanks. I'm a relatively smart person and this seems so confusing to me.

I am so very sorry!!! They just lost a HUGE chance to have a great employee who would've used "the overqualified" self to improve their company.

DH had that throw at him too!! He could not even get a job at McDonalds.

Good luck and know we are cheering for you, someone soon will see what a value asset you will be!!:cheer2::cheer2::hug::hug:

I just retured from my 1st CVS trip. I feel like it was a success. They only had the cokes 3/$8, which was fine because it is still a deal.

I got a bunch of peanut butter, Ragu, a tooth paste, cereal, eggs and soda.

I saved the image from the coupon, if you email me at lanajae@comcast.net, I can send it to you as an attachment.

:thumbsup2 I second that Paula! I think she was afraid Puffkin was pretty than her:banana::rolleyes:

That is the one thing we know for certain!

Plus I am busy getting ready for Disney this week so I am super busy !!! 12 hour days for me till Wednesday!!! Then I am off to The World !!!!

Hope you have a blast!

WTG!! Welcome to the addiction ;)

Sooo my husband thought my $10/$50 coupon was trash and ripped it in half. The barcode and the line that says "Extra Care Card xxxx" still shows, though. Any idea if they'll take it?

I wanted to do the diapers and the coke.
I might just try the $5/$20 at my store and see if they'll take it and check out twice.

I loooove Coke so much more than Pepsi so I am hoping to get some this week.
