CVS ECB Deals - Sales for Week 8/31-9/6

I"m not getting all the ECBs that I'm suppose to be getting. At my store about a week (maybe two ago) I bought a hairdryer that was showing 9.99 with 5.00 ecb. I got no ecb for it! I didn't say anything since I thought that maybe the regional add on the CVS website was just a little messed up.

Today I went to CVS and spent an hour there. We have a new store that opened on Sunday. They had no ads, and the newspaper here hasn't had one in about a month now. I was going off of what was showing on the CVS website for the local circular.

Here's what I didn't get my ecbs for today--
Colgate $2.99 each/--purchased two, should have gotten $2 ecb back for both
Wetslicks-rang up b1g1 1/2 off--should have been a $5.99 ecb there too.

I called the number on the back of the card but they were closed. What will they do about it? Nothing? I would hate to think they wouldn't honor their ads, even if it is just on the internet. Maybe they could atleast get us an ad in the local paper once in a while!!!:confused3

Also, I received a $5 off any Skin Effects product and $2.00 off any Cristophe Hair Care product - any ideas what I should do with them?

TIA!

I was thinking with the Cristophe $2 coupon to do this. I also got a CRT for buy one Cristophe get one free up to $7.99 value. So not knowing prices: Buy2 Cristophe's for 7.99= 15.98
-BOGO coupon -7.99
-$2 coupon
=5.99 for 2 bottles and receive 5ECB's back
Net of .99 for 2 bottles.

Not sure if it will totally work I haven't looked at the products yet. Good luck!

There has been an ongoing problem with the Colgate ecb's not printing. I bought the Colgate total advance clean and the ecb printed. But when I bought the Colgate maxfresh burst the ecb did not print. And that is the exact same one that is pictured in the ad. I read on another forum that the maxfresh was on clearance and that may be why the ecb's didn't print. Definitely call and have them look into it.

And the wetslicks...you had to buy the one that was pictured in the ad...Amazemint...with the blue cap. If you got any other wetslicks, it won't produce an ecb. One of my stores had a sign up stating that.

In Florida today hit 90% off sale, bought beach towels 80 cents, flannel pants 80 cents, nuts 34 cents, candy

I have 12 tubes of covergirl lipstick I got for free using 6 bogo coupons. It was fun! I was annoyed tonight because my cashier would not let me use the 1.00 dawn coupons because the dawn was only .99 I didn't feel like pressing the issue.

Thanks for the reply. That sounds good and should work well for you! But I only have the $2 off coupon so I might just forget it.

Anyone have any ideas for the $5 skin effects?

I couldn't find the .22 Special K bars either! At least none of them were marked clearance, were yours? (for those that found them?)

Two things...

When using the $5 peelies for the Christophe, you may have trouble using any other coupon or ECB that is higher than $5. If this happens, have the cashier scan your Extra Care Card again and the full value will be accepted.

The $5 coupons for Skin Effects are best used on the scrub or the foaming face wash, which are $6.99. Combined with any item(s) for $3.01+, the scrub or wash would be free when using a $2/10 coupon.

Thank you LanaJae, sounds good! You guys are the best!!

BTW, does anyone still have the link for the $2 coupon? I can't find it now! :(

Thanks again!

:lovestruc

Thanks for the tips on the Special K bars...I wiped out 2 stores! They are the small snack size pprotein bars that are originally .85. One store had them marked at .45 and the other not at all...but they are .22!!!

I've been CVSing for about 3 months now and my DH thinks I'm totally insane!! It is addicting!! I am just so lucky they just opened a store less than a mile form my house so multiple trips are now too easy!!!:)

My best trip ever! I had wanted to go last Saturday but our neighbors invited us over so I skipped CVS. So glad I did!! I ended up going on Sunday instead and .... wow!!!

Covergirl Amazemint at $5.99 and had a $1 off Q
Milk at $2.99
Fig Newtons at $1.89 (was signed at $1.79) and had a $1 off Q
Patio Umbrella at $7.50 (75% off, took the last one)
Dawn at $.99 and had a $.50 off Q
Dish Towel at $.40 cents

And here's the best part ... when I walked in the cashier that I really like pulled me aside and let me know that Fab detergent was 90% off - marked down to 40 cents!!! I bought all 31 that they had left.
:woohoo:

I had $12.00 in previous ECBs and some money left on a gift card from a prescription transfer so I ended up paying OOP $5.69 and got back $5.99 in new ECBs.

The 3 trips before that had been OOP: 7 cents, 21 cents and zero!

I think I'm finally catching on to CVSing, that and hitting the store at just the right time. :)

Feels go

Here is an email I just got from DSisIL that live in northern VA:

"While at the grocery store the other night I grabbed a free magazine called Fifty Plus. it is paper like those Enquirers and all those are. On the back page is a $3 off any $15 order at CVS. I didn't know it when I got it or I would have gotten all of them. Keep your eye out, this store had them in the lobby before you actually enter the store. "

I am going to look for them today.

Two transactions today at lunch. Scanned the FlavorIce and it came up $14.99 and I wasn't in the mood to ask if it was 75% off so I passed on that deal.

Transaction 1
5.98 2 Purex Ultra
9.49 Arnicare Pain Gel
-2.00 $2/$10 CVS coupon
-2.00 $2 Arnicare coupon
-1.00 $1/2 Purex coupon
-9.99 ECB (finally! I used up the $9.99 ECB, but I got an $8 back....oh well)
.48 OOP and received $10 ECB so cost of .47

Transaction 2
6.99 Frebreeze Noticeable
2.99 Colgate (not marked at all, but matched up to add and got ECB)
.22 Special K Bar (last one on the shelf)
-2.00 $2/$10 CVS coupon
-5.00 Febreeze coupon
-1.00 Colgate coupon
-2.00 ECB

.20 OOP and earned $2 ECB......so total cost for the 2 trips was $0.67 :cool1:

The Special K bars that I got are the little protein snack bars, chocolate peanut flavor. All my stores have been wiped out already. I didn't scan to see if any of the other bars were .22 but just not marked.

Whoa! Fab detergent for .41. You hit the motherload. What kind is it? I'll be looking for that today.

I think that is the same publisher that sends out the Richmond Parents magazine. The one that had the $2/$10 coupon last month. http://www.richmondparents.com/
They wised up this month and didn't put the coupon online...bummer. Good luck finding one. I read on Afullcup.com that people are cleaning stores out of these magazines. Look for Richmond Parents mag too. I know there are $3/$15 coupons on the back of that one too. Check McDonald's, Ukrops, CVS, local libraries...anyplace that a senior citizen would be or a parent. Good luck!

Got to CVS at 8 am, knew I needed plenty of time, but I had my game plan written down with coupons in matching order of how i was going to use them....
1st transcation:purchased 2 of the neutrogena lipsticks in FABULOUS colors at $5.99 each. Used $3 off neutrogena coupon, and $5 in ECBs, total OOP is $4.40, but actually, none, I put it on my CVS giftcard that was free with transferred prescription and got $6 in ECBs for the Neutrogena :cool1:

Okay, I'm having no luck with the Neutrogena lip colors! The first CVS that I went to didn't seem to carry them. At least, I couldn't find any on the shelf.

I went to another CVS, that I hadn't been to before. It was the first *dirty* CVS that I have been to. Maybe it wasn't actually dirty, but it reeked of cigarette smoke, and the signs above the makeup area (Neutrogena, Cover Girl, etc.) were waaaay old. So anyway, I found the lip colors, and they were tagged $7.99, but they had the weekly sign up right next to it showing them at $5.99, so I started to pick colors.

Then I checked the end of one to see what the color was called, and I saw that it expired this month! That won't work for a Christmas gift! So I checked all of the others, and I couldn't find one that expired later than October of this year. I'm not buying makeup that might "go bad" in a month, even for myself! :snooty:

I came home and found out from iheartcvs that the limit has been increased on the Colgate $2 ECB, so that's good news!

I couldn't find the .22 Special K bars either! At least none of them were marked clearance, were yours? (for those that found them?)

Yes, the ones that were .22 were marked 75% off at all the CVS's I've been too (5 this week :rolleyes1 ). I cleaned out 4 stores (probably close to 50 bars) and the last one I went to today had already been wiped out. These bars are the smaller Special K protein bars, and only in the choc pb and choc delight flavors (the strawberry ones weren't marked anywhere). The Cocoa Via bars are also 75% off making them $1.25 for a box of 5.

We're going up to visit my parents this weekend, so I'm hoping to check out their CVS for any remaining Special K bars (how sad is that?).

So funny that the bars are marked in GraysMoms area but I am the next county over (Berks) and none of the stores here have them marked clearance but they are ringing up .22.

I had a GREAT trip.

I got

2 Bottles of Pantee Conditioner
2 Tubes of Pantee Fourtifying Deep Conditioner
6 Pringles
2 Suave Body Washes (bonus bottle with 25% more)
2 Suave Humec Conditioner
2 Colgate Tooth Paste

1 Gourmet Taffy $1.00
3 post-it type note pads with my DD's initials (I'll save for stocking stuffers). They were marked $1.00 and should have been 75% off but they scanned $1.99
Travel size cotton swabs (free with e-mail coupon)

Coupons Used
2-$0.30 Pringle coupons
2 $0.75 Suave coupons
1 B1G1 free Sauve body wash
2 $2.00 Pantee Coupons
2 B1 Pantee shampoo get conditioner free
2 B1G1 free Cover Girl coupons

$5.00
$5.00
$2.00

I paid $4.56 +$2.40 Tax in cash and got ECB for $4.00 $2.00 and $2.00

Be sure to check that the clearance is ringing the right price because most of mine did not and the cashier had to over-ride it.

She told the customer behind me that she needs to figure out how all of the "professionals" like me get such great deals! :rotfl: Little does she know that I'm not nearly as good as most since they wouldn't have paid nearly what I did out of pocket in cash. ;)
