CVS--B1 didn't G1

This is a super minor thing in life, but a bummer.

I was excited to see at CVS the Revlon B1G1 for my fave lip gloss. I won't pay $10 for it reg. price.
I got the last two in my color. Paid along with some other items. Checked my receipt and I was given the full discount and went on my merry way.

I got home and only one lip gloss is in the bag! I checked my car and every conceivable place here. I didn't go back to the CVS parking lot. That seems excessive. I didn't buy that much, so I don't think it could have fell from the bag anyway (but who knows...I'm sure someone is going to tell me how likely it is that I dropped it on the way to my car ;) )

I called the store to see if maybe it fell on the floor when they were put items in the bag. They put me on hold for about 5 seconds (not kidding) and said no. I don't know how they could have really looked and I'm sure they get these calls regularly. But, I wish they would have taken a minute to look. It's small and round and could roll. I don't expect them to launch a full search, but take enough time to look around a little or offer to take my number if it shows up.

Anyway...it just stinks. I know there isn't anything I can do about it, but come here and moan over my lost bargain.

Yeah, I know plenty of people wish all they had to complain about was lost lip gloss. Believe me, I have plenty of other things to deal with, too --just my little treat for myself was tarnished.

And to those still thinking my issue is trivial in comparison. I know it is. I'm just disappointed. I want my free lip gloss :laughing:
 
This has nothing to do with a B1G1 mistake but your experience reminded me of the time that I was at the Baltimore Inner Harbor Galleria mall and went into the Children's Place. Purchased DD a pair of flip flops and sunglasses on sale. Walked out of the store and DD asked if she could have her sunglasses. I opened the bag (keep in mind I was literally 2 stores down) and couldn't find them. I walked back into the store and the woman at the register was like, "there's nothing I can do for you." I was fuming considering I was literally out of the store for less than 2 minutes and here she is implying that I came up with this story to get a free pair of sunglasses out of her. I'm offering to let her search my bag, my purse, whatever just to get the sunglasses that I paid for 5 minutes ago. Anyway, she finally takes a look around the register and wedged between the cash register and the side wall section of the counter are the sunglasses. She hands them to me and didn't even apologize.

Thinking about it now I probably should have written a letter to the store manager but oh well.
