Cvs 1/4-1/9

I cannot imagine running out of toothpaste or body wash. Everyone who came to my New Year's day family gathering left with a trip through what my husband calls my mini-Walmart. Managed to thin out my supply of body wash and toothpaste a bit.

Haha, my extended family/friends love to "shop" at my house. I keep my stuff in my basement which is my cat's main domain. So we call it Lilly's Bargain Basement :lmao:

I went yesterday afternoon and did pretty well. Our store had 75% off of Christmas but it was mostly candy. I picked up 10 tubs of the snowman cotton candy for my DD to bring to school for the kids today. She goes to a school run by United Cerebral Palsy and most of many of the kids in her class can not eat but can let the cotton candy melt in their mouths. They were only $0.20 each. DH loves Reeses so I got a few bags to that I'll put in his lunch. I also got a bunch of movie size Mike& Ikes, Dots and Red Hot Tamales for $0.38 a box and a bunch of Christmas Pez dispensers also $0.38 for the kids for next year.as well as some bags of coal (gum), peeps and baby bottle pops for stockings next year. I checked the expiration dates on everything that I plan on saving and it's all good until at least May 2011. That's kind of scary to think how many preservatives must be in this junk.

As I was leaving, I saw some Kleenex boxes stacked on top of the Coke refrigerator by the doors. I put my stuff in the car and went back to see if they were on sale. They were $0.75 so I got 5 of them plus a another box of Mike and Ikes so that I could use a $4.00 ECB coupon.

Of course none of this is actually what I went in for. :lmao:

I got 4 of the Nivea lip balms. They were $2.99 each and I had 2 B1G1 coupons so they came to $5.98 for 4 of them and I got the $5.00 ECB. It didn't print automatically so they had to type it in. The manager said that they were having problems with that ECB offer all day so be sure to check your receipt.

Our store did not have twin packs of the Oust but had single cans with ECB stickers on them instead. They were $3.99 each with $3.00 EBC. I had a B1G1 coupon from the paper so I got two cans for $3.99 plus $6.00 ECB so it was a money maker.

I used the $5/$25 that we got via email as well as a few expired EBC that I had forgotten about. The balance I paid with a gift card that I got from bringing in a new prescription.

I may go back and get a few more cans if I can get the coupon on-line to work.

I cannot imagine running out of toothpaste or body wash.

We're down to our last bottle of body wash and I forgot to get that when I just went. DD has her own card so I'll have her do the Nivea deal on her card. It won't be free but it will be pretty cheap after the coupons that were in the paper.

Oh, and I did the BOGO Stayfree with the BOGO coupon at Rite Aid. I also did the free Listerine and the Lysol cleaning supplies worked out to be a good deal too. Plus the Game of LIFE looks fun (kind of like McDonald's Monopoly), so I am looking forward to playing that!

I can't find the Stayfree coupon. Can someone explain where it is? Which insert (picture on front) and where in insert?

Thanks,
Maggie

You did great!

About the Oust coupon from the paper, was it from an insert like Smart Source or from the actual newspaper? I haven't seen it anywhere :confused3

The Stayfree coupon is a Redplum. I dont' know that date but the one that I have is from either the Chicago Trib or our local suburban paper (Sun Publication). The front cover has an ad from JCPenny saying 70% off Frame Sale. The back is a sheet of coupons from Steak 'N Shake.

There's also a B1G1 coupon for Always in the Dec P&G ad.

It was in an insert but I don't remember which one. I mostly get my inserts from the Chicago Trib but our local suburban newspaper (Sun Publications) has them sometimes. Sorry I can't help more!

I want to come and confess, that I did last weeks deals twice on the same card and lost about $15 in ECB :scared1::sad2: [/COLOR]

That's okay, last week I got the Bayer meter that should have been a $5 MM and I forgot to give the coupon for it!! DUH!

Our paper didn't have the Nivea coupons that were supposed to be in. I don't understand why they aren't all the same.

Good deal alert :cool1:
Both Rite Aid and CVS have a selection of L'oreal cosmetics 75% off. The Jan 3 Red Plum has a $3.00 off coupon. I bought the "Age Perfect" makeup, regular price $16.99, on sale for $4.25 minus the $3 coupon...net cost only $1.25!!!

:woohoo:

The Oust coupon was in this past Sunday's inserts.

Hi everyone! Am I losing my mind or were there not supposed to be P&G inserts in yesterdays papers? I thought they came the first Sunday of the month... :confused3

For some reason they were in the Sun Dec 27 paper.

Thanks for the info on the Stayfree coupon. I searched through the paper and figured out that I missed one of the RedPlum inserts when I pulled out the coupons on Sunday. That's why I couldn't find it! It was exactly as described above - JCPenney on front and Steak & Shake on the back!

I buy two different papers also and one has the really good coupons, like Stayfree, Oust, etc, and the other one doesn't even though the inserts look the same on the outside. For example, the insert with the JCP frames for 70% off has two different backsides on them. :confused3 I wish they were all the same--wth the good coupons!!

I know what you mean! If I buy Washington Post and Baltimore Sun papers most time the inserts will not have the same coupons. Makes no sense to me.

Same thing here in the Twin Cities. Minneapolis has great Sunday coupon inserts and St. Paul has lousy ones. Makes no sense to me! :confused3 I buy the St. Paul paper seven days a week for the news because more of it's local to me and I buy the Mpls. Sunday paper for the coupons. Unfortunately, the Mpls. paper costs almost twice as much on Sundays. I sometimes try to get it at the Dollar Store but they don't always have it there and sometimes someone has "borrowed" the inserts from them there as well. Very frustrating!

I'm really hoping LanaJae will check in soon. It's been such a long time since we've heard from her and I know she said her recovery wasn't coming along as well she had hoped for.

The sign says 3, but my receipt does not say that my limit has been reached. I hate to spend $6 of CVS's money to find out whether I can get more!

Lisa -- I've bought 4 Oust and don't have limit reached yet on my receipt.

I believe the limit on both the Oust and Soy Joy is 6!

This is the transaction I did yesterday:
7.99 Crave Diet Aid
6.00 Soy Joy
15.96 4 Oust
1.49 2 Gold Emblem candy (B1G1 50%)
-5.00 Medicaid coupon
-7.98 2 Oust Bogo coupons
-1.00 Candy CRT
-17.00 ECB

.46 plus a few cents tax OOP and I earned back $26 in ECB :thumbsup2
