Cvs 1/4-1/9

Just got back from my weekly CVS/Wag's trip, forgot it was already Saturday! :scared1: Did really well at CVS between two cards...
OOP $3.14 on about $120 worth of merchandise and earned $44!:banana::banana: I bought vitamins, Zantac (rainchecks), Abreva, toothpaste and South Beach diet bars.

My big problem was that all the signage was down for this sale and everything was marked for the 1/3 sale. I was so confused!!! And unfortunately, some of the ECB's didn't print out to add to my confusion! :rotfl: A good night, but I think I will stay away from Saturday nights!!!! :rotfl2:

i was just thinking of LanaJae as well..hope she is feeling ok!

I think everyone is just busy w/the holidays...i'm sure this thread will pick-up tomorrow!
Hey Girl! I missed you:cool1:

Thanks for posting. I need to get back on track now that the holiday's are over, I just didn't have time to CVS most of December, I was too busy spending money instead of saying money. :rotfl2:
Boy. I hear that loud and clear. I am out of shampoo, toothpaste,bodywash:scared1:

It's an Extra Care Buck. Sign up for an Extra Care Card at your CVS (it's their store promotion card). Every time you shop there or have presription filled, have it swiped. You earn rewards that will print out on the bottom of your receipt. Last time I was there a coupon printed out for a $25 gift card with a new presription. Every once in a while you will get a $5 off a purchase of $20 or similar.

Also in their weekly flier (which can be found on line as well as in the paper) they will advertise products that you can earn a ECB with. For example, I just bought a double pack of Cheerios there and it cost $7.99 (about what I would pay at the grocery store for 2 boxes), but when you bought it, you earned 4 ECB's. the ECBs are money that can be spent only at CVS. when you check out, they print at the bottom of your receipt. You save these receipts and hand them in like cash next time you shop there. People on this thread have it down to a science. (I am not that great about it, but do try to do my best)... The trick is to stock pile on the items you will definately use eventually when ECB can be earned (there is usually a limit of 3 or something). things like toothpaste, toilet paper, paper towels, etc. Also, you want ot try to match up the ECB earning items with manufactureer coupons for even more savings. Then you try to roll your ECB's into products the next week that you need, that will also earn you MORE ECB's and keep rolling.

I tend to go through spurts of being effective at this. This week, there were tons of things I could stock pile and know I will use eventually...soft soap, cereal, antibacterial gel, etc. I earned alot of ECB's. But, I never spend my ECB's on things I don't need, just to get more ECB's. Next week, if there aren't things I need that are on the ECB list, I will probally just use up all of my ECB's on things I will eventually need like shampoo. Then, I will wait for more ECB earning items. Keep reading these threads and you will get the hang of it.
Good Job!
For me the thread is the best when everyone gives a detailed shopping list...hmmm like me:lmao:If it wasnt for all the posters here I would still be
spending $$$ at CVS:rotfl2:

Thanks Flakey! :thumbsup2

Anyone see coupons for the Accu-Check Monitor $14.99 get $10 eb Limit 1

One CVS will take expired coupons :thumbsup2

Thanks so much for such a detailed informative answer. I really appreciate you taking the time to explain. I am really hoping I can get into this so I will keep reading this thread. I will be looking at the CVS flyer later today with more knowledge thanks to you!:thumbsup2

I just looked at my most recent receipt for my 2009 savings total.....$3999.15! Just a few cents shy of 4 grand! This is just on my main card :)

Boy. I hear that loud and clear. I am out of shampoo, toothpaste,bodywash:scared1:

How can you be out of toothpaste??? :scared1::scared1::scared1:

I'm down to about 4 tubes and getting nervous. I even gave 4 tubes of Aquafresh to my brother and SIL in their Christmas stocking (They are brand loyal to Aquafresh.)

Hopefully you were able to get the free Colgate Total last week!

Maggie

WOW!!! That's awesome...:woohoo: I'm just looking to get started at CVS as we just had one open nearby I'm impressed!

Since there is no Rite Aid thread, I'll mention that there are free sanitary napkins there this week. They have Stayfree BOGOF and there's a BOGOF coupon in today's paper.

Jumping back in this thread. I was just getting started last year then the holidays hit and I got way off on the budget.

Thanks for mentioning the 2-packs (and for the Oust coupon!)
I'll probably head to peak around mine tomorrow night.

Beginning 1/3 CVS has a whole bunch of products that are being sold in bonus packs with ECB. I read on another board that the ECBs are already printing. One of the items is a box of Soy Joys for $6 with $6 ECB. So, if you need to roll bucks and nothing catches your eye this might be one way to go. Also, there are bonus packs of Oust spray for 3.99 each with 3 ECB. There is a printable for $2/2 making two bonus packs free. Here is the link: http://www.rightathome.com/offers/0910oust/ This one's print limit will probably be met fast!

(also posted on 12/27 thread)

When I tried to print the coupons, I got a message saying "Sorry! You have already printed this coupon the number of times allowed."

Did I do something wrong? I've never printed this coupon or any coupons for that matter since we had to reboot our computer from the start-up disc. As a matter of fact, I had to reinstall the coupon printing program before I could even get to that page. :confused3

It tracks the number of times thru the link. Google oust right at home coupon Or type in what the link says and try to go from there.

Bought 4 Oust cans 2day..used the b1g1 from the paper and the 2.00 printable! limit is not yet reached - hoping i can buy 2 more and use my other 2.00 off coupon!

i walked around 2 cvs's today - one of them was 50% off holiday stuff, the other 75% off - did not see anything worth buying...

I didnt see the BOGO coupons in the paper...thanks I have to go check that out~:thumbsup2

I plan to cvs later in the week !!! The weather was awful today and cvs is not nearby!!! I am hoping for the 6th to be my day !!! I did Walgreens and Riteaid !!!I got a nice clerk at Walgreens who didn't bat an eye when I used the Gum wg c/o and had aprinted wg c/o !! So everyone got a pack of gum for first day back to school !!! I know last of the BIG spenders!!!:lmao:

I want to come and confess, that I did last weeks deals twice on the same card and lost about $15 in ECB :scared1::sad2: I was so embarrased that I made such a rookie mistake that I didn't even bother taking it back. I am using it as a lesson learned type of thing to kick myself back into being a better CVS'er ;)

I was completely unprepapred for all the January bonus buys yesterday. I forgot about them :sad2: But I pulled it together enough to do some pretty good transactions. I did on both cards:

3 Soy Joy
2 Oust
All
GE Bulb
Crave Diet Aid

I also stocked up on some gift bags and Christmas plates/napkins in the 75% clearance. I still came out ahead a few dollars. I regrouped last night so I am going to head back out tonight and do more deals. Both my CVS were well stocked so I should hopefully have no problems. The Diet Aid is more than Limit 1 too in case anyone is interested.

Oh, and I did the BOGO Stayfree with the BOGO coupon at Rite Aid. I also did the free Listerine and the Lysol cleaning supplies worked out to be a good deal too. Plus the Game of LIFE looks fun (kind of like McDonald's Monopoly), so I am looking forward to playing that!

I did the nivea deal and i did the all and the oust then went to walgreens and did the Finish deal with the quaker granola bars. then went to rite aid and did the b1g1 nivea lipstuff-free!! and did the lightbulbs everywhere! Im slowly building my stockpile back

I did the Nivea deal at CVS on Sunday. I had two $2 coupons for the Nivea body wash so I did OK.

I cannot imagine running out of toothpaste or body wash. Everyone who came to my New Year's day family gathering left with a trip through what my husband calls my mini-Walmart. Managed to thin out my supply of body wash and toothpaste a bit.
