Cutting through a closed park to get "home".

Security Breach! Oh heavens no. Though we were allowed to cut through a closed park, we still had to first speak with security, show our passes (which identified our home resort on "the other side" of World Showcase), our bags were checked, etc. I'm sure our trek was caught on camera as well. While the parks were closed, there were occasional bodies besides ours floating around EPCOT and World Showcase. :tiptoe:

I went through the same procedure when I went into the park after closing. I had to show my AP and room key, and my bag was checked.

The "security checks" are only for show I'm afraid. Any serious person or group could easily, easily get anything in there they wanted. I'm not critising Disney at all. This is just a fact of life. We can't all go everywhere with xrays and metal detectors.

There's a large gate, a single gate. that swings closed. I believe it's just as you start down the hill towards the International Gateway, after the path from the Boardwalk and Beach Club meet. The gate closes at some point at night, and am hoping someone knows what time that happens.

Since no one has answered the question of what time the gates actually close, I volunteer to go there, hide in the bushes, and watch for them to swing shut.

Will it be all right if I say, "I'm just doing this so I can report to DISboards" when I am caught by security? :rolleyes1
