Hello. We are flying AC from Halifax to Orlando through Montreal on the 15th of Feb  We are to go through customs in Montreal. Our flight from Halifax arrives in Montreal at 7:19 a.m. and is due to leave for Orlando at 8:40 a.m.

Do you think we'll have enough time to clear customs and maybe have enough time to grab a bite to eat?

Is there quite a distance to travel to get to customs area once we get off the plane from Halifax?

I'm also very interested with this question. Will be doing the same thing in April :)

We're doing it tomorrow am:)

We've never had a problem, having gone through YUL twice now. Hopefully tomorrow will be the same :goodvibes

Doubtful you'll have time to grab a snack:(...we always eat at YHZ...it's an early breakfast, but, with juice and cereal bars on the plane for the kids , and a couple of bags of chippies just in case, it's been ok:)

I'll let you know!!

mbb's right - you'll have time to clear customs but not enough time to get something to eat so maybe bring some food with you?

I know very little about customs. So where do I have to go? Last time I went they had just opened the new terminal and it was just craziness. I remmeber very little, so I'm wondering, like are there signs? Flags? I'm sorry if it's stupid to ask but this makes my stomach cringe every time.

There will definitely be signs, as well as security/airline employees that you can ask if you're unsure. Last time we were there the customs area was under construction but that was a year ago so I imagine it's done now. How long it takes to get through will depend on the lineup, although it's usually about 20-30 mins unless it happens to be a really busy day. Hope that helps! :-)

Hi There,

We will be doing this in August/September this year! We are getting married down there and there will be at least 5 of us on that flight.

2 trips back we came back through Montreal and I must say that it was the most efficient and best laid out International terminal I have been to. It was also very new at the time. I like Montreal for it's size and less international traffic. Anything to avoid Toronto!

Heya! As an employee at the airport in Montreal, you won't have time to grab a bite to eat. You shouldn't have problems with customs, and there are blue signs pointing you where to go when you get off the plane to make your connection. Either pack a lunch or be prepared to buy some snacks onboard!

We're here...and YUL was fantastic...5 minute wait...at USC&I, and 10 minutes for security...

We made our MCO flight with 25 minutes to spare:):)

If you're sitting at the back of the plane, make sure you grab a sandwich at the food court area by gate75...there won't be any sandwiches left onboard by the time the FA gets to your row...anyone past row 22 on our flight went hungry...$5 for a turkey with swiss...and LOTS of lettuce;)

Weather here is lovely..76* out on the pool deck and :sunny: this afternoon!!

I'm flying with AC from YYZ to YUL and then connecting to MCO on Friday Feb 10th :cool1:

Thanks to all who have posted on this topic, I have made notes :thumbsup2
