Customs charges/taxes???

If I spend more than what is allowed...can anyone give me an idea of what the extra charges or taxes may be. All the disney cruise person could tell me is that it would need to be paid in cash.

Which cruise are you going on? The duty is different (as are the allowances) from different ports. If I recall correctly it was only a few dollars for alcohol, you get a pretty high allowance though as you call "pool" it from all adult members of your party.

Click on the link for the 'Know Before You Go! - Online Brochure' and it will have all the information you need to know.
Customs will allow all families members that reside together to combine their allowances.
Alcohol is allowed by the liter not by dollar amount. But you have to include the cost of alcohol in your declaration of all goods bought. It depends where the alcohol is made and bought as to the amount allowed back into the US.
