Current use year for SSR?

Does anyone know the current use year that is being sold for SSR? We are looking into purchasing but do not have any need for 2005 points. Do you think that when the current incentive ends they may have some type of incentive where Disney will buy back current year points? Thanks.

Unless renting points doesn't appeal to you, you could rent the current years points or even bank them to use in the future. I haven't been on the boards long but this is a great incentive right now if you want to buy SSR points.

We have recently purchased in the last month and we back dated our points to June 2005, but were told we could have anything up to December 2005 for a use year.

When we recently purchased the banking deadline was excused so we were able to bank all 2005 points. There have been stories that some guides were not offering this....strange to have some do it and some not. But if you made it a condition of purchase I am pretty sure they will take the sale.

When I talked to DVC on November 28, they said the use year was June, but that it would change to August in December. We are just waiting for our guide to call us back so we can become official.
