This is the best advice, and what I did for the last set of incentives. I purchased three days before incentives expired, and when the next set of incentives came out (this current set now) I realized they were worse than what I received, so I didn't cancel in the 10 day period.

That is great advise- I am on the fence of purchasing now Just trying to get my husband to agree! I might sign a contract right before the promotion expires to see what happens! Thank you!!
I have just been so on the fence on whether or not the Riviera is a good buy... we know we want to go direct though...

Can I piggy back on this thread to ask a question of how this timing actually works? To buy in the last 10 days before the promotion ends, does it go from the date you tell Disney you want to buy, the date you sign the contract, or the date your payments are all made?

Typically, 10 days from when you sign the contract I did this when buying RIV in 2019.

The incentives did change...the level I was original buying did not, but they did at a higher level so I switched from 130 to 175.

This thread inspired me to check current incentives and we became new members a month ago and paid $5 less per point than current member add on incentives for the same number of points.

We saved so much money buying when we did!!!!!!

OK not really but that's my story and i'm sticking to it.
