For those who are there, what are the current crowd levels like? We are arriving later this week and curious what to expect.

We were there the 10th-15th and wait times/crowds were higher than our December 15-20 trip two years ago, or any October we've ever been. It appears crowds were lower in late July/August than last week. We will NEVER go when there are so many MNSSHP again, it really cramped our touring and was busy everywhere pretty much every day. Even many CMs remarked they were shocked at the number of people in the parks and that WDW had not really informed them of the huge crowds expected. Unfortunately, with school age children you are limited to the heat of the summer or times of large crowds. Unsure if we'll make a return trip any time soon.

We are here now and have been since the 12th and it has been very busy. On the 12th 7 dwarves mine train was at 210 mins almost all day. We usually come in September and we were definitely not expecting these crowds.

Touring Plans definitely nailed it when they changed their Crowd Calendar to have last week as summer-level busy. They show it tapering off after today and bumping back up Saturday (just the one day). We should have a good idea what crowds will be for the rest of the week once Tuesday and Wednesday come and go. I will be really shocked if crowds stay that busy this week. Most schools that had a fall break did it last week to coincide with Columbus day.

We usually travel during off-peak. But we are here now and think it is VERY crowded. Took us 20 minutes to get thru bag check and into Epcot at 9:30 this AM. We are DVC and OKW is at full capacity.

We are here now - I don't think the crowds are that bad, but we also have plans to see things over 7 days so maybe that makes a difference. We were at Hollywood Studios Saturday and the longest we waited was about 20 minutes for TSMM. We used FP+ at RnR, ToT, and ST...then could have gotten a 4th for GMR, but got a 2nd one for ToT instead. At MK on Sunday and by 10:30 we had done all of fantasyland (minus SDMT and Belle), tomorrowland speedway, and haunted mansion, and Aladdin's carpets- would have done splash within that timeframe too but it was down - we played sorcerers of the MK during the busy part of the day and used our FP+ at Pirates, Buzz, and Space. Waited about 20 min for Splash at around 11:00 - wouldn't have taken as long but lots of FP+ people returning because of when the ride was down
Today we went to AK - we rode EE 12 times (yes...12 times) - 6 times in a row at rope drop, once with a FP+ midday and 5 times in a row starting around 7 o'clock...we never waited more than 5 minutes.

Does anyone know if touring plans adjusts their wait times based on time of year and the crowd predictor. I'm sure they do or what is the point of the app. I just am having a hard time believing some of the suggested wait times on my plans during Thanksgiving week. Seems like extremely low balling it. I guess time will tell

I think it's about to drop off as well. hurricane impacted travel and disney required rescheduling within 2 weeks if your not canceling. that's just about now for those that did reschedule.

summer was not this crowded.. it's been insane.

Thanks everyone. We arrive late tomorrow night and will spend Thursday and Friday in the parks, and fly home Saturday. As I watched the unusually low crowd levels over summer and saw most resorts at capacity this week, I suspected we would experience higher than usual crowds on this trip. Like so many others, we are limited to DD18's school (college) break because we don't tolerate the heat well.

We went 8-15th and we usually go spring break (except when easter falls during our spring break). Have also been Dec 14-16. too, as well as end of May/beginning of June. We thought the crowds last week were nothing compared to spring break or even the end of May/beginning of June trip. (I will give an exception to Wednesday MK -- we only ran over at 7:15pm to use a FP for mine train because only day/time we could get. However we'd watched the wait times all day off and on using MDE and it was HORRIBLE! 210 mins for mine train, 90-100+ on many others all day long.....BUT Wednesday was one of 2 days that week there wasn't a party and with EMH park was open till 2am. We'd debated going back over after our late supper at Disney Springs, which is why we'd watched wait times all day, but we said forget it.) Other than that, we felt like the crowds were some of the lowest we'd seen.

I don't expect last week of mnsshp to be empty crowds.. so many party nights moving people around to different parks and craming into mk when it's not one.
We arrive sat and are purposely bringing our young children to MK on a party day both times (5 day base ticket) and other parks on non-party days to avoid this kind of cramming. It will have been 2 weeks since the hurricane so unless disney gave a grace period on travel days we should be back to regular predictions of visitors for this time period. We had to choose next week based on my husband's work schedule, nothing more. Obv since we're not evening going to MNSSHP. Realllly hoping we gambled right on our choice of park days.

thanks for info. I was so curious to see how crowd levels were for balance of october. we were there from 1st thru 6th and crowds were horrible. If not for fP we would of waited forever. Plus weather was god awful..so stinking hot. No more October for me but for the life of me I cannot understand why October crowd levels so high... I will go back to summer and deal with the heat but less crowds or switch to November.. I think Jersey week has got to be better.. at least the weather will be

I think many schools have fall breaks. Plus, lots of folks re-scheduled from the hurricane, so you may be seeing many of those folks, plus F & W, plus the parties etc.

You should try early November, the weather is beautiful and the crowds are low. It is my favorite time to go.

We went to MNSSHP last night (October 18) and it was easily the least crowded Halloween party we've been to in the past few years.

Thats great news! Heading to the party tonight and so hoping it isnt the madhouse we experienced in 2014. It was CRAZY!
