Current crowd levels?

Crowd levels on Saturday 10/15 at Epcot unexpectedly high. Difficult to even walk through food and wine festival. General I visit the first week of October and crowd levels seemed higher in comparison until Tuesday 10/18.

thanks for info. I was so curious to see how crowd levels were for balance of october. we were there from 1st thru 6th and crowds were horrible. If not for fP we would of waited forever. Plus weather was god awful..so stinking hot. No more October for me but for the life of me I cannot understand why October crowd levels so high... I will go back to summer and deal with the heat but less crowds or switch to November.. I think Jersey week has got to be better.. at least the weather will be

We were there the last week of September and while it wasn't really crowded, Disney was not running their rides at full capacity. We waited 25 minutes for POTC at 10 am because they were only loading the ride from one side.

It's 2 days later and I'm not seeing these crazy crowds that have been aroudn since the hurricane but it's still a little more crowded than it should be. It's also weird crowded where people around around but they don't now how to handle seeing a lot of people around so they are just walking around like zombies and the attractions and things like food kiosks at epcot haven't been too bad..

the parties I haven't seen sold out and I did one and it was nice.. it's not like 2014 with the double and triple ticket crowds from weather packed in tight..

Does anyone know if touring plans adjusts their wait times based on time of year and the crowd predictor. I'm sure they do or what is the point of the app. I just am having a hard time believing some of the suggested wait times on my plans during Thanksgiving week. Seems like extremely low balling it. I guess time will tell

I have noticed the same thing. TP re-did their crowd algorithm this summer. So yes, they do adjust, but adjustments like they made this summer are rare. They have our week as a 10. Can't go higher. I agree that the TP predicted waits seem incredulously low. Here's hoping they aren't far off the mark. I've been steered wrong by their crowd predictor, but never by following one of their plans.

I think it will be mid November before you will see a dip in the crowds before they start to built for Thanksgiving. Halloween weekend will be busy. Followed by the race weekend and Veterans Day holiday. Fall is not off season anymore.

Touring Plans' resort wide level seems to be pretty accurate, but their park predictions are way off. It's mainly because they base the score off wait times. It's hard to tell if the wait increase is because of crowds, scaled back ops, or both. About the only day I have a real touring plan is for my Magic Kingdom day on Tuesday and I doubt I'll stick to it because waits are most likely going to be way off what they predicted. Oh well. I certainly hope it's better than the last Friday in April I had at Disneyland where you could barely move in certain places.

I don't have TP, and curious when you are going? We are there nov 4-11th hopefully that's not a 10..... yikes. I have a funny feeling it's going to be nuts.

I think you will be fine. 10 doesn't start showing up until Thanksgiving week. That week is much lower except a bump for Veteran's day.

I'm really hoping Oct 28th-Nov 5th isn't too bad. I know Halloween Weekend will be pretty busy, but I'm hoping during that week it won't be so bad.

We will be there November 12th-18th. Most crowd calendars I have seen show it as a moderately busy time. Is it just Veteran's Day that is expected to be really busy or is it the weekend and couple days after that are predicted to be busy?

I am going Nov 5th-14th and I anticipate it being somewhat busier than normal for that week. With election day falling that week, I think a lot of people are going to be travelling. Normally my kids have two days off but that week it is three days. So I anticipate Jersey week crowds on steroids. I hope I am wrong but better to anticipate the worst and hope for the best.

Destination D starts as you are leaving and you'll see the world get packed with people coming in to attend that near the end of your trip. It's a show about the disney parks so people coming in for it will be hitting the parks hard. I know I am :)

check the park calendars, mk one of those days has a 4:30pm close (I'm assuming for vip ticket holders for destination d getting their pre-event party).

Me too. We are going to MK on a party day and going again at the end of our trip on 2nd, two days after the last party, so I am hoping that day won't be too bad, but I am bracing myself for the worst. Last year I made the mistake of going to MK on the only non-party day that week and I really grew to regret it.

i just got back from there and was there from the 17th to the 23rd and the beginning of the week wasnt bad at all but friday-sunday started to get kind of busy. I was able to tons of fastpasses after using my inital 3 at all parks even for big rides such as toy story

I believe the 11/17 early closing evening at MK is a private party not related to Destination D. Perhaps a cast party IIRC?

Destination D registration does not open until 11/18. Last year the VIP event was on Friday evening. There is a private event on Sat evening at the Poly and on Sunday evening in a park.

I'm not sure the size of Destination D really impacts crowd levels in the parks. How many people attend that event?
