Title says it all I guess. We went in October and got herded around (STAY TO THE LEFT!! STAY TO THE LEFT!!!). I was expecting construction but the cowherding cast members were another story. :rotfl:

Anyway...I knew about the entrance being re-done, but I never thought to ask....where was the original, and where will the new one be? We came in near the little by-plane and usually got shunted off to the right.

It was and will be, strait ahead from the gates. Now, as you went, to the right around Soarin.

You had probably seen pictures of people walking in and under the monorail. Perhaps that will help you imagine this.

In the link, the lower photo is what you will see when you enter. This is what you will see right after you go through the turnstyles.

It will be the same, but they are doing heavy construction on the area just inside the entrance to create Buena Vista Street, which is why they are rerouting guests right now.

So the gates are/will be the same, but you walk straight ahead instead of the hard right?

Follow-up spin-off question -- What is Condor Flats? We never figured it out.

I'm getting all nostalgic over our trip maps...

Yes to the entrance question. Condor Flats is the name of the general area that contains Soarin' and Taste Pilots.

That's correct. The gates you went in are new. You will go strait.

Condor flats is a testing area for air and space craft. Soarin is in the middle of it.
