Curious on Resort Upgrade button

I had a reservation for Port Orleans Riverside that I changed yesterday to AoA. This morning I had an email stating that I could upgrade my resort but it was listing the Riverside resort. Went to MDE and looked at my plans - there is a button that states I can update my room and to view the options. But when I click on the button - it says that there are no upgrades available, I am assuming it is because the Riverside reservation is no longer booked.

Just curious what my upgrade would have been? I new room view? I had standard 5th sleeper or another resort? Just curious did anyone else get the email and there is button on their reservation page that works?

It was an offer to upgrade your Resort- not your room. Recent reports from those who can do math are that they are just offers at the general public discount, so rather lame.

You're not missing out on anything great.
Its basically just trying to get you with smoke and mirrors.
Like oh for just this much more you could stay here instead.
In reality its the same price that you would have paid if you just booked that resort to begin with.

I had that earlier this year. It was exactly what @gottalovepluto said. All it did was bring me to the special offers page to check current availability at other resorts. There was no specific offer just for me, like a PIN Code or offer for a special reduced at a different resort.
