Curious about bounce back offers...

Do you always get a bounce back offer when you stay on property? Do the deals always differ? It seems like I've noticed people who booked a room on a discounted rate got the bounce back with the same room discount. Or if you booked free dining your bounce back offer was free dining. Just curious. Getting excited about booking the bounce back offer.

That was our experience. We booked a room only discount and stayed at Poly in Jan 2012...when we arrived there was a BB offer for a room only discount - although it was actually a higher discount than what we had gotten - but had to be used by dec 31/12., which we couldn't swing.

We just stayed on property for the first time ever. We booked with Free Dining, and our Bounce Back offer was Free Dining for similar dates next year but at deluxe resorts.

I always book room only reservations, and our bounceback offers have varied. Some are free dining and some are room only. I have never used one, BTW.

It just depends on the time of year you are there as to which bounceback flyer will be in the room. If you are there in late August-Sept the bounceback will probably be for free dining. If you are there at other times of the year, it will probably be for a room discount.

I was there in Sept 2011 (using an AP discount) and had a bounceback flyer for free dining the following year. Knowing I was going back in Dec 2011 and that the bouncebacks in the rooms that time of the year are usually for a room discount (which I prefer), I didn't even bother with the free dining bounceback and just waited until my Dec trip to book three bounceback deals for 2012 with a room discount. I was able to get 30% off my room for my May, Sept, and Oct/Nov trips. When I was there last month, the bounceback offer was again for free dining, which I wasn't interested in, so didn't bother with. For that matter when I was there last month there were people there that had booked bounceback free dining offers the previous Sept, but there were also people there who used a bounce back room discount if they had been at WDW last Dec. It just depended on what time of the year, they happened to be down there as to which bounceback offer was in the room. The room discount bounceback offer that was in the room last Dec seemed to cover alot more dates during the year. The free dining bounceback that was in the room last Sept just covered dates from mid August-Dec, whereas the room discount covered most dates throughout 2012 (Jan-Dec).

We were there at the beginning of August. There was no offer in our room. I called the extension (I wrote it down before I left home) and was told there were no offers right then. Once I got back, I heard other people had been able to get an offer during the same time period. I was not very happy about that.
