Does anyone else watch this?

For the most part I love this show, however some of the bakers really annoy me. Some of the women on it act almost ditzy. I am watching right now and one baker only makes gluten free cupcakes and she keeps on mentioning that they are 100% gluten free, um they are either gluten free or they are not, I don't think you need to keep saying 100%.

I also can barely understand the French judge, sometimes they need to add subtitles.

I know what you mean. It also gets me that most of them look as though they've never even eaten a cupcake, let alone baked any.
Gluten-free girl was annoying just like the organic and vegan girls in past episodes. You just wanna scream, "OK - you're special and trendy! We get it already!".

Love the show but don't agree about the comments on the specialty cupcakes....

For those of us that cannot eat "regular" food finding something that actually tastes good and is safe is unusual.... So that the judges loved their food and it was "gluten free" was amazing to me - not trendy but safe - big difference for those of us with good allergies!

I agree, now if it could only be AFFORDABLE!!

But I also agree that having it mentioned EVERYTIME they speak is a bit unnecessary.

I hope you don't think I was trying to knock that they were doing the specialty cupcakes, I was just saying how it was annoying that the baker kept on mentioning that they were and how she kept on saying that they are "100% gluten-free" and why she needed to say the 100%, either they are gluten free or they are not. They can't be 95% gluten free.

I love this show. I especially enjoy seeing some of the unique combinations of ingredients. What's funny, though, is that whenever I go to WDW and have cupcakes, I always like the plain vanilla ones with plain vanilla frosting. But some of the cupcakes on Cupcake Wars look so good.

I love this show!!! I think it's fun but I thought the Christmas tree display would have won last night because you could see all the cupcakes.

The sleigh was beautiful but the cupcakes weren't the highlight.

I agree. I do think that the display is not the only thing they keep in mind when they choose the winner. So maybe they felt the "100% gluten free" cupcakes on the tree display weren't quite as good?

All I know is that the lady who though stuffing would fly as a cup-cake was off her rocker.

Love that show!

Who wants stuffing and turkey with icing? You have to give her props, though, for doing something really different.

I thought the white tree was more elegant than the green ones.

That french dude trips me up sometimes, too. I love how he says "that's a no for me." Like anybody else is saying 'yes' or 'no'.

I love the show too. It amazes me when they have to add unique things to the recipe. For the last challenge, I think the carpenter should get the award too. The ideas the bakers give would not make me think of that wooden display.

I enjoy the show for the competition aspect, but the judges (and the host) drive me bonkers. I think Candace Nelson is waaaay too into herself. You opened the first cupcake store. Big whoopdedo. You didn't invent the cupcake. On the other hand, I adore the carpenters!

As for the turkey and stuffing... they put those ingredients out there. If you don't want them to make a cupcake out of those ingredients, don't offer them!

But she didn't make a cupcake out of it, she simply put the stuffing in a cupcake paper. Now if she had taken the stuffing and had put it IN a cupcake batter that would have been different.

My comment was more about the "trendy" comment made by HunnyPots.... allergies, diseases, intolerances are not "trendy". That pushed a button....

Back to the fun - the French judge drives me nuts
