CSR vs SOG

Anyone stayed at Shades of Green? I am debating between Shades of Green and Coronodo Springs. Any opinions??????

SOG - Deluxe hotel near MK for less money. (I'll have to tell you about it when we get back May 8th.)

CSR - Moderate convention hotel near AK for more money.

SOG - newly refurbished

CSR - has it ever been refurbished?

SOG - No "Disney Feel" according to some

CSR - Has the soaps and shampoos

Hope you have a great trip in May. Please let me know how SOG is. I was almost ready to make our ressies at CSR (had debated between CSR and POR), but I checked into SOG, and other than it looks like the busses go to Disney ticket center, vice individual parks, it looks like a nice place. They can keep the soaps and shampoos and I'll keep my money, huh???? Ha! Ha! Have a great trip!!!

Thanks, also search the threads, there have been many that state that there is a short walk to the POLY (and the monorail) from SOG, and sometimes a golf cart that will take you to the end of the road.

Actually, I just called SOG, and they said they do have busses that go to the individual parks. Sometimes the bus will be for Downtown Disney and Typhoon Lagoon together, since they are very close, but according to what they just told me, SOG does have their own bus service. Have a good trip.

SOG has it's own bus service. There are two routes. One is a quick 5 minute trip to the TTC. The second goes to the Blizzard Beach and other stops. Check out the new link I saw on th resort board a little farther down. Apparently SOG has a new website, my old link doesn't work anymore. But, the walk to the Poly is very easy also.

I haven't stayed at CSR, but I'd definitely recommend SoG for the cost savings alone, not to mention the proximity to the Poly & MK. The location really can't be beat, and the savings, well... let's just say, I'd be squinching up in a value room if we couldn't qualify for SoG rates.

Yes, in 2004

SOG has it's own bus service.
