Well for some of the dates that I am looking at for a possible trip in 2015, CSR rates are still unchanged from 2014. Has anyone else noticed this for any planned days for trip next year at the resort you might stay at? Not that I am complaining, just surprised and curious. Maybe I am missing something?:confused3

I have never know Disney not to raise a room rate.

I made a 2015 CBR reservation and it's only about $30 more than for the same week this year. I was wondering about that. Hoping it doesn't go up! :)

Maybe they are realizing that they are pricing themselves out of the game!?!!
It has gotten to the point that staying at moderates is as bad as trying to afford a deluxe.
CSR has always been our favorite and we've stayed there so many times... but with the all the increases the last few years along with the different prices for each week and day, bla, bla, bla...... it's just nuts!

We may have to stay value next year! :(

This is what I was thinking as well. I am sure there is probably not very many dates that the prices remained the same, but this is something that they may be becoming more aware of, who knows?

I noticed this as well for CSR. Now that we're into 2015, I thought the rates would definitely change, but they haven't for our travel dates (yet). Maybe they won't. If I book it now at the current rates, will they adjust it later to the higher 2015 rates?

Edit: Nevermind...it would help if I compared the rates with taxes included, etc. The 2015 rates on Disney's website made it look like they were lower than 2014, but really, I just forgot to add in the tax. Haha...sorry.

They are still the exact same rate for us for our dates as they were in 2014. We got the discount on the room that Disney offered, that Orbitz offered and used close to like $140 something worth of Orbitz bucks. Our average rate for 3 days during the week and a weekend came to $125 a night.

Personally, I think rack rates are almost out of control, so it doesn't surprise me if they slow down raising them.

My example is last Easter 2014. We wanted to stay at Poly CL. Rack rate for the week leading up to Easter was over 1,000 per night! Long story short, I sent an email to guest communications inquiring why there isn't a discount offered that week when every resort showed availability and the rack rate was crazy high. I actually got a phone call from Disney about my email. The CM was very knowledgeable and honest -- she told me people usually end up still booking Easter week during January/February after they see no deals will be offered. She left me her personal number. I called her back in March to tell her that every resort was still wide open and would there be a deal offered. She actually put me on hold for a while and came back and said it didn't look promising for this year (2014) but there are notes to review for next year Easter week. Fast forward to this Easter, 2015, and they did NOT black it out for deals!! And the prices stayed about the same. So now I'm sure it will be more crowded but I'm so happy to be saving 40% (thx to Orbitz too...).

Ya I think that Disney may be starting to realize that their rack rates are getting to be too much for most people. Hence the result of them converting more rooms into DVC. After our stay at CSR next month, we will have very few places that are on the somewhat afforable side that we have'nt stayed at.

Don't really care for the values that much, but do want to stay at AOA and might even give Pop a try when the budget is extremely low. We will soon have to start recycling the moderates that we have already stayed at.
