CSR & New shuttle service

We have stayed several times at CSR (8 to be exact) with the last time being this past Nov.
We just booked CSR for our Aug. trip. and have read on this site, that CSR now has a internal shuttle.
With all our stays at CSR we have never stayed in the Ranchos. (DH has problems sometimes with his feet). So I thought that with the new service we'd request the Ranchos. I called CRO and inquired about this service, they knew nothing about it, the castmember also put me on hold and asked someone else, they also didn't know. The best thing they told me that I could do was inquire at check-in.
What's the deal? I didn't think this was that new of a service. Is it that they were just trying something new out?

The shuttle service was there in Feb. 05 during our visit. We stayed in the Cabanas and did not use the shuttle. When I stayed in the Casitas March 04, I don't remember seeing the shuttle. So, I guess it's been an addition in the last year. We saw people using the shuttle, we just didn't have the need to.

Unless they have renamend the service or changed the method of transportation CSR had internal bus service since it opened. All you had to do is go to the nearest bus stop and ride the bus to the main building.

Sammie, the shuttle service is a golf cart ride that goes along the walkways around the lake. I think it has 4 stops. This is in addition to using the buses to get around the resort.

We used it in early June. The kids thought it was great fun.

Yes, they do have an internal shuttle service. We stayed June 11, 2005 for 4 nights. I will warn you (let me just say this was my experience and hopefully they have fixed the problems since our trip) the internal shuttle service was not as helpful as it could have been because it is a great idea and needed in a resort this size. The golf carts never stopped at the designated bus stops, families would always jump on in-between stops so the families that waited at the stops were out of luck. Also, on the second day of our trip they took up all the signs from the shuttle stops??? I could never get anyone to explain why? Basically I came to the conclusion in order to use the shuttle service you had to flag down the shuttle while you walked and hope that it wasn't full. Wasn't very helpful, now saying that...these problems would never affect me staying at CSR...it's an absolutely beautiful resort, definitely our favorite mod!

Buzz your site is wonderful! I look at it offen and refer friends and relatives to it when they are considering a stay. We are big fans of the CSR, enjoyed all our stays, and whenever we can get those wonderful AP rates and cheap airfare we are there.

I was just wondering why CRO dosen't know about this service? This is a definate plus for the resort. I was hoping that it wasn't discontinued before our upcoming trip. So I'm glad to hear that it is still there, and CRO is not as informed as they should be.

I never trust CRO, I call the resort directly for resort info.

no tips required but if you wanted to I'm sure they wouldn't turn it down.
