We have stayed twice at CSR and we loved the beauty of the resort and the Pepper Market. Have also stayed at CBR and POFQ and liked them, just not as well as CSR.

here is my dilema. WE are booked at POR with our AP rate because CSR wasn't included. I've been reading threads about the POR and it sounds nice. We are thinking of mansions. Now here's the thing.....with the new code I can get CSR for only 49 more dollars for the week....
So should I switch? Will a CSR lover be happy at POR (well that's kind of a dumb question, we're at disney after all) but you know what I mean. DH and I stayed at WL and were kind of disappointed. So this makes us a little more nervous about trying something new.

What do you think???

I would vote for trying POR for something different. I know it is hard to decide because you want to stay at a place you enjoy alot but also would want to venture out and try a new place. I have stayed at all 4 moderates and I do prefer CSR, BUT ...POR is mighty wonderful too. AT POR there is no lake so the large open views are not there. You will find some spots where you can see across the river but it is not as expansive of a view. There are lots of trees, formal gardens in the mansion area and winding pathways with creeks and bridges in the bayou section. Remember that you may ask for the Mansions but be put into the bayou section. If rustic is not your thing you probably would be dissapointed in that area of POR.

I really like CS and while I have never stayed at POR I have heard from a great many who will stay no where else but here.

As some suggest to others, what about a split-stay -- part at POR and part at CSR (maybe more nights at CSR)? This way you could try POR but have CSR to go back to after a couple of nights.

You didn't hear this from me but try something new! I couldn't get the code either for CSR so got the AP rate at the Contemporary.

We have stayed at both and we FAR preferred Coronado Springs. However, if you want to try something new that is understandable. We thought POR was nice, but near as spectacular as CSR.

I prefer CSR over POR. I have stayed in the Mansions at POR and while it was alright I prefer a more tropical atmosphere that CSR provides.

What I would do If I were you is stay at CSR and then go over to POR and check out the resort. If you like it next time you can try it. Or like others have said, split your stay between the two.

I have stayed at both many times and although I prefer CSR, POR is still a very nice resort. But if it is only a difference of $49.00 for the week and your heart is set on CSR then just stay there and visit POR for a possible future trip.

If you love CSR, that's where you should stay. I personally love POR (Dixie landing) and would always choose it over CSR. Yes, stayed at both and did not like CSR. I love the relaxed atmoshere of POR over the business-like feel of CSR. Love Boatwright's Dining Hall and food court at POR. Did not like either at CSR. Loved the hot tub at CSR, but that is the only thing, other than they both have wonderful CMs. Don't like the hussle and bustle of CSR and the conferences and conference goers. Like to be in a place where all are on vacation, and don't want to think about work or see anything that reminds me of work. When offered CSR or A/S, have always taken the A/S.

We loved both! Pros and Cons to each. POR was our first WDW resort and I thought I would never love another. WELL, we love WL and CSR just as much! Since you know CSR I will tell you POR is a more shaded relaxed atmosphere and not as spread out. Plus there is the boat ride and the wonderful food court(cheaper than CSR). CSR has its own special attributes as you know. Do a split! I would stay at either in a heartbeat. :D
