I have 4 nights reserved at WL for 2adults 2 kids ages 8&9. I was reading some old posts about noise from WCC and the lobby and also complaints about the pool being too crowded and Roaring Forks too slow. Should we switch from WL to the CSR or another Moderate. We have our own car so transportation won't be a big deal. Thanks

THE PROS
No sharing bus service with other resorts
Centrally located with short rides to the parks
Largest hot tub on WDW property
Awesome main pool area with bar, snack bar, playground and kiddie pool
3 quiet pools
New shuttle service eliminates long walks to any of the villages
High speed internet service
WiFi available too
Free use of the gym
Spa
Fridge in the room
Coffeemaker in the room
Iron and ironing board
full room service menu
2 arcades
beautifully landscaped
central air, not a noisey wall unit

THE CONS
Full size beds (kings size beds are available)
one sink

IN THE MIDDLE
The Pepper Market is either a love it or hate it place. We love it but some folks just don't care for it.

Convention resort - some guests don't like seeing other guests at work. Doesn't bother us and helps keep the buses empty. GF, Cont, BW, Y & B Club are also convention resorts.

Thanks Mario,
Have you ever stayed at WL? If so how does it compare to CSR? Thanks

We just got back from VWL over the 3rd of July till July 8 so very busy. The pools were manageable. My kids didn't mind at all. We swam at quiet pool early in the morning- but the main pool at night. Beautiful atmosphere. No issues with bus service either. I can't really tell you about the WL room noise- but I wouldn't think a room in one of the wings would be noisy at all from WCC. You just can't satisfy some people.

On the other hand - CSR looks very nice - never been there, but I will probably try it next time for a few days before the Poly. The pool does look great, and my kids are all about the pool :sad2:

I've stayed at both and you can't go wrong with either. That said, I'd pick WL again though. The boat to the MK and Contemperary was wonderful. The grounds were gorgeous and I liked that everything was under one roof. WCC was great and the noise didn't bother us in the least. We used the pool and the hot tubs everyday and they were never too crowded. (We were there in August) Roaring Forks was fine for us but we only ate breakfast there.

CSR was also good but very spread out. We were in Cabanas 9B, close to Bus stop 1 and the main building and a very short walk to the dig site. My kids thought the pool was awesome and the slide can't be beat. The pool was closed one evening for a convention. This resort was just too spread out for us especially during afternoon rain storms.

I've been to both. They are both beautiful resort. My favorite is WL. It is just breathtaking! The lobby is breathtaking... the courtyard view is breathtaking!! I've stayed at CSR 2x and WL 3x. I like having a balcony to sit outside and soak up the beauty of nature. I enjoy watching the EWP at night. I can see some fireworks (the high ones) from my balcony. Great food and great service at WC! I didn't find the pool crowded. I like having an option of taking the boat or the bus to MK. I like the fact that it is close to MK. I like the fact that I can easily get to the monorail resorts when I have a PS dining there.

You can request to not be near or be above the WC. I tell them which area I want to be in, and I have been lucky that my request has always been granted.
