I understand that the hotel is so large that you can hop on a bus to reach other areas of the hotel. are these the same buses that go to the parks? how do you know what bus is going where?:confused3

No, they're not the same. Yes CBR is big. But the only time we have ever used the internal bus was to get to our room from the Custom House after check-in. It is a 10 minute walk from the farthest room out to get to OPR and the Main Pool. We like to stay in Jamaica 45 and it's under 5 minutes to walk to OPR and the Main Pool.

As with all the buses on WDW property, the bus will be clearly marked with where it is going. It will either say Internal or the park it is going to. There are electric signs on the front and sides of every bus.:thumbsup2

If you're referring to Coronado, they are the same busses. There are 4 stops at Coronado- Stop # 2 is actually the first stop, and is near Casitas 4. It then goes to stop 3, in the ranchos section, on around to stop 4 (cabanas), and stop # 1 is actually the last stop before the bus goes to whichever park or downtown Disney. So you can get on the bus at the closest stop and ride around to # 1, which is at El Centro.

CSR is great, and we were super impressed with the bus service last year in November!

After reading the posts in this thread, I'm not sure if OP is talking about CSR (Coronado Springs Resort) or CBR (Caribbean Beach Resort)?

But as far as buses go, it's like night and day between these 2 resorts. In our experience, CSR have the best buses going in all of WDW. Wait times for a bus were no longer than 10 minutes, and going back to CSR from the theme parks (even at night) was very painless.

CBR on the other hand had the absolute worst (pure nightmare) transportation system at WDW. In fact I would even go so far as to compare it to a major city transportation system at rush hour. The line ups were endless, and the buses were very slow. It was horrible! :scared1:

However, when it comes to the internal bus shuttle, CBR is the only one that offers this service at the moderate resort level. It's one bus that just circles the entire resort throughout the day, providing easier access to the resort for visitors.

CSR, yes it's the park buses. The CSR FAQ thread has information about the buses. Which to take to El Centro and which to take from El Centro.

Depending which stop you are and how crowded the resort is, it's probably time saving to walk.

To OP, Carribbean Beach resort, as opposed to Coronado Springs Resort is as this poster mentioned.

There aren't dedicated "internal" busses at CSR. The busses you can take from one section of the resort to another are the regular park busses. All routes except for DTD/TL, stop first at the Casitas stop then proceed around to Ranchos, Cabanas, and finally El Centro, which is the main building where the front desk, restaurants, and gift shop are. The DTD/TL bus stops first at El Centro and then proceeds through the remaining stops in the same order.

The resort is large, but taking the busses may or may not save you time depending on where you are and where you need to go.
