I am a BIG CSI fan and love to talk shop!

OK then...which CSI do you think is better and why?

i like both! though i do also really like law and order, i think they are different types of shows.

Apparently both of these programs have sparked an interest in science among our youth. High schools have responded to the trend by offering forensic science courses. I think this certainly is a positive result generated by a television show, which generally don't have all that much value. Sparking interest is biology, physics and chemistry, in an age where kids have seen these things as dull, dry and boring can't be all bad.

I like both too caitycaity, but forced with a choice I would have to pick (and I did) the original.

ALL of the Law and Orders are great too but the original CSI is still tops with me.

Miami has some good and some bad acting on it and I think and the stories are very different from CSI:LV in a good way, But the the original has a great, believable cast all around!

I am a fan of both shows. I started watching the original because I am a huge William Peterson fan from way back. IMO the first two seaons of CSI are some of the best work ever on TV. Ever since CSI Miami showed up however I feel the original has suffered. It's like the creative team jumped ship to focus on the new show. I know this happens which other shows from the same producers.

I really like both, but I wish the creation of one didn't equal the drop in quality in the other.

I like CSI (LV) better than CSI Miami. IMO the acting in CSI Miami is terrible.

The only thing that bugs me about both shows is the over usage of the mini flashlights with a "getting a rectal exam" look on their faces.

A new show that I like is NAVY CIS.

The original has Marg Helgenberg. CSI:Miami does not. "Nuff said.

CSI Miami = bad acting. No one cast member is good.

CSI LV.....excellent. All the cast are wonderful! Warrick is my personal fave. Love that wild hair.

I LOVE the original CSI. I've been hooked since the very first show!

It has really gotten me interested in forensics. It amazes me, the science behind crime has totally changed mystery shows. Imagine Columbo with forensics!

I agree with the others, I simply cannot warm up to the cast of CSI:Miami. There is just something about all of them... don't like them.

The cast of the original one I can't get enough of. Marg and Bill are my faves but I love all of them.

I liked the original Law and Order, especially when Chris Noth was on then I fell for Benjamin Bratt! Not crazy about the current sidekick, though.

I like the original CSI. All the characters are great. I don't even bother with CSI Miami.

I love the original CSI- have watched since the first episode----love the entire cast...besides Survivor (when it's on), it's the only Prime time major network show I must watch.

I have tried watching CSI Miami and I do not like it. David Caruso is way too forced and comes off as cocky and full of himself. The rest of the cast also lacks warmth, although I do like Khandi Alexander's character. Have only watched 2-3 episodes and it's not good enough for me to want to tune in again.

I have absolutely loved CSI from day 1. If I could go back and do my life over again, that would have been my job (morbid as it sounds..lol)

I tried to get into CSI Miami. I REALLY wanted to get into CSI Miami. Why wouldn't I want my favorite show TWO times a week. I just couldn't do it though!

Why? I dunno. For lack of a better reason I think it was the characters. They are just... missing something. It's just not Grissom and Willows... and Brown... and Sidle.. well.. you get the idea.

Wish I could like it though.

CSI Las Vegas all the way!

We watch and enjoy both! They're filled with intrigue. Sometimes they are a little too graphic (couldn't watch it for 6 months while I was pregnant) but they are good tv!!

Huge CSI LV fan. Just got the 1st season on DVD. I do like Miami but could do without David Caruso, the other especially Speed are good.

I am a huge Law & Order fan also have watched every episode, I do like the spinoffs also but not quite as much.

Lisa...I've been wanting the CSI DVD sets. Are the worth the $$? Do you really get all of the shows from the season on it or is it a "best of" type deal?

It's funny this should come up becuase my best friend and I were just talking about the two CSI shows. Neither of us can get into Miami. We just can't get into the show at all. I'm not sure if it is under acting, or over acting, or just plain no acting, but it is just not the same as the original. Personally I also like Law and Order, too. I usually catch Law and Order, CSI, Judging Amy, and ER most of the time. (Not necessarily in that order )

I have watched since the first CSI show came on too. I like both, actually all (including L&O), but hands down, CSI LV is the best! I'd love to be the guy (gal) in the lab doing the dna tests and such. I couldn't go to the scenes themselves, I'd toss my cookies! I've been reading books that are based on the whole crime scene/solving theme for a long time and I love that I can watch it on tv now too!
