(Updated 9/2) How Many Times Can We Switch Hotels? - Tokyo Disney TR May 2025

Miss Bunny and Mrs Incredible - Tuesday May 27, 2025 (part 12)

We ended up ordering a Shirley Temple just so we'd have something sweet!
zIMG_0027.JPG
So much ice. But it was good. :)

After finishing up at the Lounge, we spent a little bit of time exploring the ship, cause we were right there.
zIMG_0030.JPG
You get some interesting views/perspectives!
zIMG_0035.JPG
No, we did not do the Titanic thing but I thought about it. :)
IMG_0040.JPG
Monorail!

Our Indiana Jones fastpass was at 5:35, so we started heading that way. We'd also bought Peter Pan and Rapunzel fastpasses for the evening in Fantasy Springs, so it was gonna be a "back of the park" night. :)

But as we were passing Cape Cod, who did we run into?
PXL_20250527_084709811.jpg
Miss Bunny! Thumper was there too (you can see him in the background) but I'd already met Thumper, so Miss Bunny was the more exciting draw.
IMG_0051.JPG
So cute!

Riding high off of that we kept walking and we passed the booth that sold the Donald shrimp life-preserver bun and there was NO LINE. Which was crazy. So of course we had to stop - I didn't want to eat it but I wanted to see it, and Trevor said it sounded good.
zIMG_0056.JPG
SO CUTE.

IMG_0057.JPG
The packaging is just adorable. And Trevor said the bun was good too. It smelled too shrimpy for me so I didn't try it. But adorbs.

We kept walking back towards Indy and ran into more characters!
zIMG_0064.JPG
Mr Incredible was out, but he was mobbed - we didn't get his attention at all. But Mrs Incredible was also out, and after waiting a little bit, she picked me!
PXL_20250527_085423116.jpg
She saw my first visit sticker!

CharacterPalooza Continues - Tuesday May 27, 2025 (part 13)

Selfie!
IMG_0072.JPG
But then Edna Mode came over, and photobombed our selfie!
IMG_0075.JPG
It was so fun to meet both at the same time, and they were just so excited about the first visit sticker. They also loved my ears. :)
PXL_20250527_085551847.jpg
PXL_20250527_085557477.jpg

So much fun - loved it! The only awkward bit was we had just bought the shrimp bun so we were juggling the bun and the soda we'd bought, but we made it work. :) Worth it!

We kept going and who did we find? Timon and Rafiki!
PXL_20250527_085901847.jpg
PXL_20250527_090055145.jpg
Back here (closer to Indy) there weren't very many people at all - it was awesome. And it's just so fun to wander around a corner and see characters out there meeting. Also the character attendant loved my Cinderella spirit jersey, and my ears - though people all day had been loving my ears, which made me feel good cause I also love them. :)

Ok at that point, time for Indy, with no more detours! We got the last row again, but that meant we could raise our hands without having to worry about blocking anyone.
IMG_2239.JPG
Such a great ride. :)

We got off at 6:20ish, so off to Fantasy Springs we went! I noticed that Tinkerbell was over there right by Peter!
zIMG_0087.JPG
She's definitely a bit more subtle.

Over to Peter Pan we went:
IMG_0088.PNG
zIMG_0091.JPG
Honestly I just love all the theming in Fantasy Springs - it's top notch.

Off to the Snuggly Duckling - Tuesday May 27, 2025 (part 14)

More theming:
zIMG_0092.JPG
Wendy and John and Michael flying to Neverland!
zIMG_0093.JPG
Each ride vehicle has an awesome name - the Happy Snapper! :)
zIMG_0095.JPG

We had a great ride - I do wish this one had a bit more physical effects, but it's still an awesome ride. We had a bit of time until our Rapunzel fastpass, so it was time for dinner! Where?
zIMG_0102.JPG
The Snuggly Duckling!

So you remember how yesterday was basically a TON of photos of the theming inside the Royal Banquet Hall? The next several posts are just going to be of the awesome theming at the Snuggly Duckling - I think it's even better than the Frozen Royal Banquet Hall!
zIMG_0104.JPG

Brilliant.

Vladimir's ceramic unicorns!

As far as food, I got the burger and Trevor got the cheeseburger, as well as drinks, and the souvenir lunch case, and then the Sweet Ever After dessert, as well as the Vanilla Mousse, apple, and soda jellied dessert:
zIMG_0106.JPG
The burgers were...interesting. They both had a giant slab of ham/bologna/whatever on top of the burger, and I was like absolutely not, so I pulled that right off.
zIMG_0116.JPG
And there was cabbage? It was odd. The burger itself wasn't bad but the ham and the cabbage...just odd. Trevor said it was fine, just unnecessary ham. The fries were good, though I think they needed a bit more frying.

Rapunzel Theming is the Best - Tuesday May 27, 2025 (part 15)

Then the Sweet Ever After dessert, as well as the Vanilla Mousse, apple, and soda jellied dessert:
zIMG_0107.JPG
This looked cuter than it tasted - it was cold, and would have been better warm. And oddly perfumy? Oh well. The jelly thing (the other dessert) was jelly with fruit in it, nothing super special.

So overall, the food was a miss - also there was a very very weird smell in there that was kind of making me nauseous, so we ate outside. Not sure what the smell was, maybe the ham? But it was weird. Not my favorite. Such a bummer about the food, cause again, the theming was just fantastic.
zIMG_0109.JPG
IMG_0111.JPG
I so wanted to steal this tray.
zIMG_0118.JPG
The chairs!

After eating, we spent literally 20 minutes looking around and taking pictures of everything, cause it was amazing!

and more sewing accoutrements. So cute. I can't stand it. :)

That's pretty much all of it - and it's super cute. Don't eat there, just order a drink and enjoy the theming. Cause the theming is amazing.

For us though it was 7:30, and time to ride Rapunzel at night!

A Ride to Interrupt the Theming - Tuesday May 27, 2025 (part 20)

Off we went over to Rapunzel - it was indeed gorgeous with all the lanterns lit up:
zIMG_0173.JPG
The ride itself is basically the same from day to night, since it's all inside after the initial scene, but you can't beat that lantern outside ambiance.

Then, the plan was to look in the Fantasy Springs store, but of course we passed Fantasy Springs on the way!

Just gorgeous, all of it. This picture I took because pretzels! If you are a long-time reader of my trip reports, you know that Trevor loves pretzels!

We did spend some time looking at the fountains at night:

Ok the next posts are gonna be of all the theming in the Fantasy Springs store, cause there were fewer people and I could take pictures of all of it. And there's SO much of it!

Mad Dash to the Mall - Tuesday May 27, 2025 (part 23)

As we walked out, we saw the Peter Pan mountain all lit up:
PXL_20250527_110314160.jpg
The other thing we saw though, was the Roast Beef popcorn stand with NO LINE!
PXL_20250527_110317775.jpg
This thing always has a huge line, so when we saw no one in line, we of course had to jump in, just to try it.
zIMG_0181.JPG
It was GROSS. Nasty. Blech. 0/10 do not recommend. To be fair I guess it does taste like a sunday roast, but ewwwwww. Don't do it, not even for the novelty.

IMG_0180.JPG
They'd already cut off the line for Busy Buggies, but we had another plan in mind. Trevor's allergies had been really bothering him (we couldn't figure out why) and while we normally carry benadryl with us, we hadn't stocked up before we left so he was rationing his benadryl, which was not great. But we saw that there was a pharmacy in Ikspiari, so the plan was to try and get over there before 9 pm when it closed, to get some benadryl equivalent at the pharmacy. But since we weren't staying at Fantasy Springs hotel (yet :) ) we couldn't exit out that way to get on the monorail - we had to hoof it to the front of the park and catch the monorail from there.

So off we went, snatching some nighttime park pictures on the way -
zIMG_0182.JPG
We did have a late night fastpass for Raging Spirits but it was more important to try and get to the pharmacy to get Trevor is allergy pills.
PXL_20250527_111723752.jpg
Sparkly and pretty at night!

We made it to the pharmacy at 8:45, and found a couple different types of allergy meds (we'd been doing a lot of googling to figure out the benadryl equivalent :)). Phew! We even had a few minutes to spare to blitz through the Disney store there at Ikspiari - I definitely grabbed a few things though they were definitely closing right at 9. :)

Back to the room we went, and I'll leave you with one last Miracosta pajama picture:
zIMG_0188.JPG
Tomorrow we were switching rooms - off to the Fantasy Springs hotel!! :)

Fun with Metrics:
Steps walked: 22522 (8.6 miles)
Ride Count: 9 (Aquatopia x2, Indiana Jones x2, Raging Spirits, DisneySea Transit Steamer Line x2, Peter Pan's Neverland Adventure, Rapunzel's Lantern Festival)
Shows: Big Band Beat!

Trevor is away for a couple months for work, so I went to visit him, and did a quick stop in London to see Evita with Rachel Zegler (SO GOOD!) and then when we met up, we spent time together and then went to Disney Paris for 3 days!
I'll be interested to read that one too since DLP is next for us!

This trip sounds amazing. Makes me want to go at some point. I am just to afraid of the plane ride as well as the food. I am such a picky eater.

Also, I think we have the same sandals but in a different color. I can't tell for sure though. Mine are skechers slip ons.

Oh I hope you're able to make it some day! The plane ride honestly wasn't as bad as I thought. And as for food, I sympathize - they do have some weird stuff! But most places had mickey chicken nuggets, if that's something you could eat.

Oooh close! Mine are Tevas. Do you like the skechers? I'm still kind of on the look out for shoes, so I may have to try those.

Goodbye MiraCosta - Wednesday May 28, 2025 (part 1)

The plan this morning was to get up early enough to head over and check in at the Fantasy Springs hotel, get our bonus show tickets, and then head over to Tokyo Disneyland in time for Happy Entry. When you stay at the Grand Chateau side of Fantasy Springs, you get extra fastpasses as well as show tickets, and since I wasn't sure how our luck would be with show lotteries (though I needn't have worried) I thought we'd want the tickets for the shows at Disneyland. So that was the plan! I did hear that checkin for the Grand Chateau could take a little bit, so I wanted to be over there no later than 8 am.

I don't remember what time we woke up, but it was before 7 am. This time we got to see some kind of CM meeting happening in the piazza before the park opened:
zIMG_0189.JPG
Not sure what was going on but progressively more and more CMs were gathering there by the water. *shrugs*

By 7:15, we were heading out of the room and saying goodbye to Miracosta:
zIMG_0192.JPG
Goodbye beautiful lobby!
zIMG_0197.JPG
Goodbye pretty fountain!

Over to the monorail we headed (after having left our bags in our room - best way to transfer hotels ever! :) ). This time we got the passes, which meant we got the cute little souvenir cards:
zIMG_0205.JPG
Duffy! I was hoping they'd still have the Fantasy Springs commemorative monorail tickets but nah, it was Donald, Duffy, or others I didn't care about. We went with Duffy cause the rainbow coloring was pretty. :)

We *just* missed the monorail, so we had a whole four minutes to wait for the next one. :) In the meantime, we had some Mickey Longbread for breakfast.
zIMG_0207.JPG
I think that's Trevor going "mmmmm" but either way it made me laugh.

When the monorail came, it was the Duffy monorail!
IMG_0211.JPG
So we had to take a pic of it with our passes. :)

It is a super adorable monorail -
IMG_0218.JPG
Bubbles inside and fuzzy seats like the characters. This early in the morning, we managed to get a seat "driving" the monorail!

zIMG_0222.JPG
zIMG_0223.JPG
With a fancy view! That's the Disneyland Hotel up there :)

It also gave us a prety nice view of the Toy Story Hotel:
IMG_0228.JPG
Look at that parking garage too - it's like cardboard! We'd be staying there in a few days. :)

Oh I hope you're able to make it some day! The plane ride honestly wasn't as bad as I thought. And as for food, I sympathize - they do have some weird stuff! But most places had mickey chicken nuggets, if that's something you could eat.

Oh, I can eat chicken nuggets. This is on my bucket list as well as Paris Disneyland. I just now need to get over my fear of flying. I have only flown on a plane for about 2-3 hours at a time except for when I went to Hawaii with the marching band when I was 16-17 (this was my first time flying and I was without my family). Those few hours I am a nervous wreck. My husband is all nervous before the flight but one he is on he is fine. Mine starts more when I get on and during the flight. I pretty much white knuckle the are rests the whole time. I might need meds to calm me on a longer flight.

I love the sandals. They are very comfortable and I can slip them on without an issue. It is really nice when I have to take the dog out to just quickly slip them on. I plan to wear these to my surgery in 2 weeks so I don't have to bend over to put them on. I haven't worn there tennis shoes though. Most of them have the memory foam and I have issues with my feet. THe doctor said they are the worst since they don't give any support. They have new slip on out that are not memory foam that I might try on next time I need tennis shoes.
