CSE-- Pg. 74 SATAN'S HAMMER, Ch.18, pg.160 "Goodnight Sweetheart" epilogue

Have a great trip you two! You're going to have such a great time seeing WDW through Jackson's eyes! And, for what it's worth, kids seems to have amazing energy reserves at Disney. I'll bet he'll get to see Wishes.

I can't wait to hear if you actually make it to a water park. I thought you were gonna take those 8 water park tickets to the grave with you.

So sorry to hear that the trip is off Buzz and family. I hope that everything's ok.

sound strange??? now, doesn't everyone jsut love the leftovers from a barbeque in the fridge? just reach in and grab a cold cheeseburger ot hot dog to munch on?

Cold pizza, yes. Cold cheeseburgers and hotdogs, no.

why not on a trip? he put them in ziplock freezer bags, and they will go into the cooler, and from there, into the fridge in the room. hungry Jackson? want to much on a cold cheeseburger? way to go , Papa Nebo!

Sounds like a good idea.

and: more imoprtantly, I am done cleaning for over 2 weeks, done tending bar for over 2 weeks, and I have only ONE waittress shift left, and then I am DONE WORKING for 2 weeks!!! YAY!!:dance3::cool1::banana:

Yay! Have a great trip!

I just got a crappy phone call, from Buzz's hubby of all people.
They are not going to be able to make their trip, so our meeting on the Poly beach, of course is off.

Aw. So sorry to hear that Buzz.

That's right, even though the main part is a 7 night stay at Pop with our son, his wife and of course, Jackson, I'm not the spring chicken I used to be,,, now I'm just chicken, and I don't want to got through the drive for just a 7 night stay, only to have to turn around and do it in reverse.

I don't blame you.

backspacing is just a PG version of using the delete key.

There's a bumper sticker.

When the sky turned pitch Green and Yellow, and the rain suddenly stopped,,, we outran it!

My dad did that once when I was a kid. We got home in the nick of time and saw our deck umbrella flying down the street.

And not just for Jackson, I'm lookking forward to seeing my son's reaction to Disney again.

Sounds like you're going to have a very sentimental trip.

Oh,,, talked to the always lovely and talented Monica the other night too. We usually leave at the crack of dawn on check out day, but not always. Instead, we weill say goodbye to the fambly and probably head on over to AK for a bit in the morning and meet op with the Monymony hoodlums, no,, this has never happened in person before,,, should be,,, um,,, interesting!
I mean FUN. Yeah, That's it FUN FUN FUN.

Aw. I thought you'd get to spend more time with her. Monica, I guess you won't get to stalk as much as you'd like.

I'm curious to see how Jackson handles Disney though after a couple of days:
I am not crazy about going this time of year,, especially since I really want him to gtet to experience Wishes and Illuminations, but I don't think Wishes starts before 11 the whole time we're there, for a six year old,,, that's late.

When my daughter was 5 she made it through MK extra magic hours until 2am. And at the time she regularly went to bed at 8:30. Disney will keep him alert.

But, as usual, there is always some bad to take with the good, '94 was a long time ago, which was son Todd's last time there.

Here's just a short list of what he can stop looking forward to seeing again:j

Pleasure Island, mainly Comedy Shop and the Adventurers' Club,,, he really like both of those.

Skyway to Tomorrowland
Dreamflight, heck, I still would rather have that back than Buzz Lightyear
The better Tiki Birds,, which he never got to see either
The better Imagination
Spectromagic
Mr. Toad's Wild Ride,,, still better than Pooh.

Honey I Shrunk the Audience, he SAW Captain EIEIO
Food Rocks
River Country! Anybody remember that?
Superstar Television
Here's one I bet nobody remembers, Magic Journeys!

Mission to Mars, GACK
Spaceship Earth with REAL narrators like Jeremy Irons
I mean Walter Chronkite , Sorry,, not a Judy Dench fan
Body Wars
Cranium Command
Image Works
The Wonders Of Life hands on playground
Remember when the Odyssey sold food?

Wow! That's a lot of changes.

That's mainly it,,, these were pretty much all here on his last visit to Disney.

And of course,,, one more thing,,, the big one that I've been telling him about for the last ten years,,, that of course, "OF COURSE" , they chose now to refurbish,,,

TEST TRACK!

I have not doubt that it would have been his favorite, since as he has gotten older,, he is much less a roller coaster fan.

That's really too bad. I guess he will have to come back.

So boys and girls, I guess this is it for now, boy when we get back, gonna have a lot to write about,,, and hopefully it will get done in a more timely manner since most of the major hot and Nebo killing days are mostly gone for the summer.

Be safe all, feel badly for Buzz cuz I sure do, and Monica, drive safe, and DON'T TALK ON YOUR CELL PHONE IF YOU ARE THE ONE DRIVING!

hugs,, Smidgy and the Neeb

Have a great trip! You didn't give us the rundown on your Vike supply. I hope you're stocked up.

Buzz, so sorry about your trip

Me too.

Safe travels to both you and Smidgy! Looking forward t the TR when you guys return! I'm hoping it will give me some late night reading time out on the balcomy during our trip later in the month!

Buzz, so sorry that you had to cancel your trip. Missing out on this trip will just make the next one that much sweeter!!

Jay

Nebo! Smidgy! You are coming my way again!!!!

Remember me? The one who posted on the last TR that I never post...just a forever lurker.

If you read this before you leave and you want to meet up in Carrollton, I'll bring presents. The kind that goes in a fuzzy cup. I'll PM you my number.

Anyway, I hope you both have safe travels and a wonderful trip with your family.

Thanks Marita, Monica, Shannon, Laura, and Jay for the hugs and condolences on the cancellation of the trip. It's been a real bummer for me, I must admit. DH works in IT and there is a huge billing system conversion that has been ongoing this year. The slated "completion" date is 9/28/12, but there are some big glitches right now and he really can't leave work and go to Disney. We found out on Friday morning that the trip was not to be. Honestly, the part I hate the most is not being able to meet Nebo and Smidgy. :sad1:

But looking on the bright side......we are really, really close to getting my parents to FINALLY agree to come with us on a Disney trip, in February 2013. Most of you know, my dad is a produce farmer and he has only two months that he can reasonably leave, January and February. We are thisclose to sealing the deal with them coming with us, but regardless we will be going with little buzz in tow. My parents haven't been to Disney since I was 12 and only MK and Epcot were in existence. So much has changed and the kids love it so much. DS has been hitting Poppy hard with selling "Living with the Land" and "Soarin".

I am determined to meet Nebo and Smidgy at some point. I might not have the ability to persaude them to a winter meet up as it might be too cold for pool time, but maybe in the Spring. As we all agree, they are pretty special people. Yeah Nebo, go ahead and gack if you need to, sometimes, mush needs to be expressed! ;)

And yeah, Nebo's right, I do laugh ALOT. He hung in there though on the phone, even with my "heavy" southern accent, compared to his nonexistent northern one! ;)

I so glad that Monica and Nebo are still "on go" for a historic first meet! I can't wait to read about it! And I most of all, I can't wait to read all about how much Jackson is going to love Disney! This TR is going to be something really special!! pixiedust:

nebo, do your "fans" know that we used to breed snakes? corn snakes. and about all the pet snakes we had, from a reticulated python to a ball python to a rat snake and a boa constrictor?

(sorry honey, I think I just lost most of your fan base)

Yep, this freaked me out a little when Nebo mentioned it on the phone. We have quite a large number of poisonous snakes in SC so as a general rule we don't get close to any of them.

This reminds me of a true story that happened when I was in elementary school. My granny(mom's mom) had come over to our house before we got home from school. She decided to walk in the backyard while she waited. I should probably mention that my granny was a petite little woman, if she was 4 feet 8 inches tall, she was lucky. She stepped around the shubbery at the back of our house and saw a huge 8 foot snake. There was no way she was going to let that snake be close to her grand babies so she looked for a weapon. She found a pole bean stake and SPEARED the snake, fisherman style. Dynamite can defintely come in small packages!! ;)

Oh Marita, have a terrific vacation!!! I would love to see some pictures of the sites! ;)

Well, not sure how many sites I will see, I will most likely be stuck in the hotel for the most part.

Today DS suggested going out tubing. No, not in a water park, in the Missouri River! :scared:

PS: little Laramore? It's a boy? Or did I miss this announcement earlier? Either way, YAY, it's a baby! (as opposed to a water moccasin in the Missouri River, shudder!) Although I assume Water Moccasin moms are quite fond of their offspring too.

So now we have to keep the TR moving along until Nebo gets back. Thumperman and Thumperman's wife will be along I know, but the last time Nebo was gone, it was pretty much a free for all for everyone and it was kinda fun to leave posts knowing he would get to read through them upon his return. Pkondz, Laura, Shannon, Marita(not sure about the length of her trip though), Sandy, oh kitty, and heck everyone else, just keep posting the funny stuff! ;)

Marita,

Yellowstone is gorgeous! My grandfather worked there in the CC Corps during the Depression and my family has loved it every since (my first trip was at 6 months old!) You will have a great time. Wave if/when you go through Denver.

PS I've never seen a water moccasin in Colorado or Wyoming...I have seen them in Missouri though.

I'm late but sorry you had to cancel your trip as well. Hopefully the family trip works out...hopefully your dad won't be able to say no to your DS!

Wow! 'cause, yeah, my first instinct when seeing an 8 FOOT SNAKE :scared1:is... to spear it!!!:faint:

eta: Sorry about your cancelled trip, but here's hoping for the FAMILY trip!

I will wave around midnight Friday night if you are awake

Umm, thanks for the reassurance, really, Jill .:guilty: I will try to mostly enjoy the scenery from the car though.

Holy Cow...I got a shout out on Nebo's report yesterday. I haven't been around much lately and thought I would see what Nebo and Smidgy were up to. I had no idea you were headed back to the World. I wish I had known. I would have driven to Carrolton to see you drive on by. A Nebo and Smidgy sighting would have been awesome. A little stalkerish but awesome just the same. Hope y'all have a wonderful trip.

There is something grander in the scheme of things for you, I can just feel it. We are driving through the Carolina's this time and stopping in Savannah for the night on the 5th of August. Never been to these parts before and excited for the scenery.

Well, don't let what I called "it" influence you. The laramore is a family combo nickname which I realized you guys wouldn't necessarily "get" so I changed it to buzz, which you would immediately understand. DS is pulling hard for a brother and DD is pulling equally hard for a sister. At least little buzz doesn't appear to be hermaphroditic in nature. Yikes!

I need to see if I can post one of the 4-D ultrasound pictures so you guys can check heshe out! ;)

Tubing in the Missouri? I'm going to pray for you!

Aww thanks Jill! It has been a big bummer for sure, but seriously things are moving rapidly on the parent front. My parents have agreed to come with us in February! Woo-hoo!!! They may not be able to stay for the entire week, but we will take what we can get!! ;)

eta: Sorry about your cancelled trip, but here's hoping for the FAMILY trip!

Thanks CoolMom, you guys are just the best. By the way, I LOVE your name!!! ;)

Yep, spearing a snake, even a teeny tiny one, doesn't make my top million things to do, much less a very large snake. Granny was fearless when it came to her grandbabies!!

Monica, I'll be around and we aren't far from the path you are traveling, so just let me know if you need anything. We always travel I-26 to I-95. There is some neat scenery, especially around the marshes of Georgia. And thanks so much for the good thoughts and wishes. You guys are making me feel so much better. I'm sad, but I'm a relentless optimist so I'm trying to look on the positive side of things! ;)

Oh, still a mystery about the baby. Hope you can post the ultrasound. We can start a pool right here about the sex. And even the date of birth!

Thanks! Although it sounds like it might be a fun family adventure, Im not so sure I am in for this in my advanced age. I don't even own a bathing suit anymore...

DS said its a little cold when you first get in but then its fine. I dont think I want to find out...
