Crystal Palace rehab??

Perhaps I missed something, but I read on another site that CP was going to be down for rehab until May of 2006. I thought CP just was rehabbed...wasn't it? I remember because we had birthday reservations there and they switched us to Tony's Town Hall instead. Can anyone help me out with this or am I just becoming a delusional planner? (Perhaps I should re-phrase that, eh?)

I just made March breakfast reservations there and I think they probably would have let us know when I made them (Friday) if this were true.

I read something, too, about CP being closed for dinner due to this rehab but still open for breakfast and lunch.

I have lunch reservations there for the week of January 9th. I am guessing they would have said something to me when I called to make reservations if it was closed.

i also read that they will be CLOSED for DInner ONLY for rehab but open during breakfast and lunch which seems kind of odd to me - how do you rehab a restuarant but only close during one seating time??

I have a ps there for dec 9th, do you recall when it will be closing??

The rehab may be in the kitchen or air venting system. Something to be done without patrons in CP and can be done at night - ie - work done between 5 pm and 2 am - leaving clean up time of CP to be done by 6 am - before patrons and the staff of CP arrive.

If it is a paint job inside CP where patrons can see it - then CP maybe closed for a few days here and there all day.

Two days ago we made ADRs for 2 dinners at Crystal Palace in late January. No one on the phone said anything to us about them being closed.

I just called to verify this information and the CM stated that they have not heard of such a thing. She did state that it could very well be possible that they are rehabing when the season is slow (meaning after the holidays). But thankfully for the time that we will be there it will be fine.

We were there in November 2002 and CP was completely closed for rehab at that time. We ate at Tony's Town Square with the Pooh characters at that time. I wonder how frequently they rehab restaurants?

We ate lunch there yesterday and all looked perfect. Whatever the rehab is, it isn't obvious. If they are closed, it must be a night, I didn't walk back by there in the evening.
