I checked WDW and AllEars but neither really give you the menu items. I know it is a buffet but what all is available for kids? Will it be somewhat similar to Tusker in that they will have traditional breakfast foods like cereals and donuts?

Our situation is this, we really don't want to go to Animal Kingdom until our last day of the trip because it makes for a easy and early ending day. The problem is that we couldn't secure a reservation for TH breakfast that day. My kids don't care so much for the characters as they did having access to normal kids breakfast items. Now, I have a early ADR at Crystal Palace set for May 27th at 8:10am as a back up. Will it be similar?

Also, I know some may say just eat at the resort if all my kids want is cereal and donuts. Don't forget, I do like a good sit down meal every now and then.

had cereal in the past and I would bet they still do. Too many people eat cereal and it's an easy thing to stock. They do have an assortment of baked goods like donuts, muffins, pastries, etc.

The food overall is good though I understand the breakfast lasagna has disappeared.

Keep checking your dates for Tusker House something may open up.

I don't remember exactly what was there, but my two picky and traditional breakfast eaters (meaning they basically live on pancakes, waffles, various baked goods, and the occasional egg) had NO problems finding things they enjoyed. Nobody went hungry.

Are still planning to go to AK after your CP breakfast?

If you are, I would skip the CP breakfast and have whatever breakfast you want at whatever resort is convenient for you. If you have a car any of them.

If you are still going to go the AK, any resort is going to be easier then just going into MK for breakfast and it can still be a sit down meal.

Where are you staying?

I was there for breakfast last December...it was standard breakfast foods...eggs, waffles, pancakes, various bread items, cereal, sausage, bacon, bisquits and gravy..and it was very good.

Last September my kids both got Mickey waffles (they have the regular waffles and chocolate ones), Pooh's Puff Pastry (a glazed donut that is just heaven), and other pastries off of the kids buffet. They also got some fresh fruit and sausage and bacon off of the regular buffet. The CP buffets are the typical breakfast fare and it is really good too, DH loved the make your own omelet station and the breakfast pizza, and I loved everything on the adult buffet. We liked it so much when we went that we made another ADR for our upcoming May trip.

They have CP booked for earlier in their trip, not going from MK to AK.

The items will be similar.

Specifically in the kids area of CP, they have Cinnamon Puffed French Toast and breakfast pizza.

But the rest of the buffet, which the kids can of course eat from too, include fruit, pastry, bagels, toast, scrambled eggs, omelets to order, frittatas, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, cheese, Mickey waffles, potatoes, cereal....there will be plenty to choose from and even a picky eater should find something they like.
