We don't do breakfast, but we had dinner at CP in October 2006. It was our favourite of the four buffets we tried (1900 Park Faire was second, Cape May third, and H&V a distant last place).
What we liked was the variety of foods. I like very plain simple food, my friend will try just about anything! There was a good variety for both of us.

She loved the dinner roll with stuff in it--I tolerated the one that looked and tasted as if it were directly from a bag of Francisco's French rolls! Other than that, the service was good, food was well prepared and presented, and the food temperature was well maintained. Character interaction was terrific--they didn't even ignore the two middle-aged ladies acting like children!
1900 Park Faire was good. Service not as good as at CP. Food was well prepared and presented and maintained at good temperatures. I just was less enthused about the availability of "plain" food--other than the children's menu! Character interaction was very good.
Food temperature was our biggest issue at Cape May and H&V. They apparently did well with the shell fish at Cape May (I'm allergic, so can't attest to that), but they didn't do as well with the other options and didn't refresh them very often. The serving dishes were empty nearly every time I tried to get something.

The food temps at H&V were very poor--the hot foods barely warm and the cold foods bordering on warm. The soft serve ice cream was good, though!
