Well, after reading some mixed reviews about the character dining at the 'Akershus' restaurant in Norway / Epcot (mainly because they have switched menu's and the new character lunch which kicks off on April 10th has been changed to traditional Norweigan food - not American. We doubt that all 10 members of our party will be thrilled with anything less than American food)... we have cancelled our PS there and squeezed in for lunch at Crystal Palace in Magic Kingdom....HOWEVER, I did not have to give my credit card details (which I found odd as I had to for Akershus) and although I was given a time and confirmation number...was told it was not a reservation..??? So what is it?? I was told we would be seated at 2 tables of 5 and 2 highchairs have been requested for us....surely they wouldn't do this unless it was a reservation? I think I will end up having to phone them back to check...any ideas anyone? :confused3

You have a priority seating--which means that you will be seated at the next available table fitting your party size once you check in at the desk. Usually you have to wait another 10-15 minutes from the time you arrive. Hope this answers you question..

Lost track of how many times I've been to Disney

A CC# is now required for ceratin, more popular PS's like CRT &, I would assume from your post, PSB. This is to ensure that people really show up & not just block time for themselves "just in case" and then not show up thus preventing another family from enjoying the experience. CP is just not as high on the popularity list so a CC # is not required at this time. That being said, cc# or no, a PS means that you will be seated at the next available table that fits your party size over another party of your size that just walks up. The notations are just to keep the staff advised as to what needs will need to be fulfilled.

We ate at CP for lunch last August & enjoyed the food although I felt that I've had better, onger or more frequent character interaction at other character meals. I think it is just so large that they only come round once & have to hurry. At Chef Mickey's & LTT, we've been hit at least 2 times around.

Enjoy,

Elise
