Crystal Palace breakfast questions

1. I read somewhere that if you arrive early you have a good chance of being seated early. We have an 8:35 reservation, but I was really hoping to be finished eating before the park opens. Does anyone have experience with this? If we arrived at 8:00 is there any chance we would be seated before our 8:35 reservation? I'm going to keep checking, but we're almost 60 days out so we'll see.

2. Do they offer any savory dishes for breakfast? I don't really enjoy sweet foods for breakfast and that looks to be the majority of their menu. I saw they have bagels. Does anyone know if they have capers and lox?

I haven't been since 2010 but I know we were seated ahead of our 8:20 reservation time and I remember both capers and lox on the buffet. There was also omelets made to order and several savory dishes. I like a mix for breakfast and sampled it all.

. . . the line starts REALLY early
. . . they can only let enough people in to fill the tables of the available staff
. . . the staff has staggered-starts, so although lots of open tables, no one to man them
. . . the SERVER *usually* has a cluster of 4-5 tables, whether individual or pulled together for larger parties
. . . so, getting in early is not done that often
. . . you can ask for the bill at the time you order beverages, as this will get you paid, and possibly out earlier

. . . but the seem to not be re-supplied once they are gone
. . . however, I admit that we didn't really look to see if they came back or not
