That's so exciting! I hope it all works out for you. I've always wanted to stay at AKL. I know Jake and Mallory would love being able to see all of those animals outside of our room!

I'm so over the top excited about it! I think I'm going to get choked up when I walk in the lobby for the first time. I've wanted to stay there so badly ever since I stayed at WL. I've heard if you like one you'll like the other and I LOVE WL. AHHHH, I really hope I didn't jinx myself and everything goes smoothly. This is the first time I've rented points and if it wasn't someone I've talked to on here for so long, I wouldn't do it. But we emailed each other many times and I have her number. She answered all my questions so I feel confident this will work out.

Disney really does offer us some great perks. The best part about the tickets is that I don't have to pay for them until I get to WDW and pick them up from guest services. I'm just going to add that $200 to my fund goal. Kris started his own fund last week. He's dead set on catching up to me!

I love WL! Have you ever stayed there before? The villas are connected to the main building by a little walkway. The resort is so peaceful. You really feel like you're tucked away in the woods rather than a boat ride away from MK!

That's so exciting!!! I have never stayed in a deluxe, and I've already decided that on our next trip, we'll rent DVC points to stay in AKL - because like you said, it's pretty much the equivalent to stay there as it would be to stay in a moderate.

I will keep my fingers crossed until everything is set in stone! I can only imagine the additional layer of AWESOME this adds to your trip and the anticipation while you wait for it.

I am beyond excited about it. Plus, now we get to eat at Boma! I could never justify going there because it seemed out of the way but since it'll be right in the same building now, why not?

Yup. The refuse to dance on my computer. BUT they dance on my laptop and even on my blackberry! It must be some sort of setting on my desktop...but I don't know what or how to change it. I like the moving smilies!

Hi everyone! I've been MIA around here for the past week. We moved in last weekend and basically everything that could go wrong, did go wrong! The day before we were supposed to move, we called to confirm the rental truck only to find out they never received our reservation. So we had to scramble & eventually found a Penske truck that was available the morning of our move. Then the gas company took their sweet time coming out so we were without hot water for a few days, the cable guy was at our place for 4 hours because one of the boxes wasn't working, and Comcast can't come to install our internet until Thursday morning. But we've unpacked nearly everything and it's starting to feel like home!

My birthday was last Wednesday and Kris & I both had the day off. He took me to the movies to see 50/50 (which was good! a little depressing but good!) and we went to a local Italian restaurant in our new town. It was yummy! He got me a new phone which I absolutely love. I was behind the times and without a smartphone so I've finally caught up!

I also received some birthday money that I put into my Disney fund! When I last updated, my Disney fund total was at $179.78. I've made a few deposits since then:

$45 - birthday money from my grandmother & godmother

$23 - leftover singles from lunch money budget for the month

$3.31 - loose change

Deposit total - $71.31 brining my new Disney Fund total to $251.09. I've upped the amount to $2000 even now since I'll have to buy my ticket once we get to WDW. So I have $1,748.91 to go!

I'm going to try to catch up on everyone's posts. I'm way behind!

So I was looking at the NHL standings last night. How the heck did Winnipeg end up in the eastern conference and Columbus is still in the Western Conf?

So I was looking at the NHL standings last night. How the heck did Winnipeg end up in the eastern conference and Columbus is still in the Western Conf?

The sale was so quick and so close to the season that they already had everything lined up. All the schedules and the like. SO they just put Winnipeg into Atlantas spot. We are just playing all the games they would have played.

They are going to restructure everything for next year and we're hoping to be in the Western conference. Makes more sense. The majority of our games would be in Canada so that would make alot of sense $$$!

Aha. That makes more sense. Though it's got to be a pain for them to keep traveling to the Southeast to play all those games since that's their division right now.
