Cruising towards 10 days of fun... a July/Nov 2012- & We're BACK!!! Pg.50-51

We got the 11am boarding for our Disney cruise next week. woo-hoo! You should be just fine with 11:30 - can't wait to see what Juliana thinks of the surprise!

Your November plans sound good. I would lean toward going to a park for a few hours in the AM and then take the rest of the day off.

We have the exact same days as you, but whats making me nervous is the "maybe" MVMCP on the 6th. I had MK on Monday, but It's supposed to be busy. I put it on Tuesday and then I miss our chance to she Wishes and M,M & You show.UGH!

We are planning the 9th as our MVMCP, but also scared it's going to be busy. I'm hoping all the marathon runners will stay at thier resorts to rest!::yes::

If your friends haven't responded by Friday night about joining you or not, my recommendation is to make the ADRs they might be part of as if they are coming. With Disney Dining Reservations you can always go down in number without losing your ADR, but you cannot add people (except at the restaurant itself, but then you might have to wait longer).

The whole party craziness...why does Disney have to do that to us??? I haven't read any updates yet about it all either...nor has Disney adjusted their hours. :headache:

I think leaving Christopher at home for Juliana's special trip is a good idea. I know she'll appreciate the extra special attention. :thumbsup2

I think of Erin and her family often. I saw your post on FB while we were in Florida. I was actually sitting on the bench outside of the hotel waiting for Nicki to pick me up to go shopping. She pulled up and I was crying. She got all worried something was wrong. I told her I had just read your update on FB about Erin and it was just so sad. No parent should have to bury their child.

Your plans are sounding great. Any word from the other friends yet on whether or not they are attending?

And I think it is a great idea that you, Mel and Ana are going alone. Ana has been such a trooper through all her testing, etc., and becoming a big sister!

Hello! So sorry to hear about Erin. I saw it on FB, but didn't have a second to comment there. I have to say that I get a bit choked up whenever I see kids with GKTW or MAW buttons on when I'm in Florida.
I never thought in a million years we'd be part of the MAW, GKTW, CCMC, Relay for life, Cancer, etc... family. There are many sad moments but you see and witness many miracles.

Your plans look great! I'm sure Juliana is going to love her cruise!. As much as I'm a proponent of quality adult-time, I think I'd have skipped Palo, too.
We will just have to book another cruise to try out Palo! :goodvibes

Your fall trip plans look like they're coming together. :thumbsup2 I am learning that trip planning with non-Dis folks can be trying, as they often don't understand why we make our plans so far in advance, but you seem to have the right attitude about it.
Dave & Branda aren't DIS folks but they think like DISers. I actually got them to sign up but they haven't posted yet.

Bill & Jamie are pretty easy going when it come to the plans... just trying to get everyone on the same page was a little frustrating BUT it could of been much worse. We are getting so excited for this trip and once our ADRs are make it will feel much more real! ::yes::

With a day with a crowd level of 1, I'd be super tempted to go to the parks, but you know I enjoy going for partial days, so...
I might just have to sneak away for a few hours.

I got 2 selfish suggestions for you....MNSSHP on the 2nd.....and Cape May dinner on the 9th.....Just saying. :rotfl2:
Hummm... anyone I know gonna be there? :confused3

I do have Epcot in the evening on the 8th too. DHS closes at 4 that day and it has a low crowd number, so we might go over there for a bit and then head to Epcot. If not, it will be swimming then Epcot.
I'm gonna try for Arkershus that night.
Ooooh, maybe this will be the chance for our DIS meet!

great plans! love you idea of how to through Juliana off for the cruise! can't wait to see her face when she relizes she's going on the ship!!!
Me either!!! I can't wait to see my face too! :lmao:

good luck getting your ADR's planned out with your friends....just give them your idea's and that you need to have a definate answer by Sat!
then make what works best for you all!
definately choose to eat around the world at the F & W, so yummy and you will get filled up!
I'm about to post our revised schedule.... stay tuned!

Interesting. We didn't have that on Celebrity or Carnival. I wonder if it's a Disney-only thing :confused3
I think it is. We've been on Carnival and Norwegian and we never had that either. :confused3

We did! We moved at the beginning of April. It took me two weeks to get my new license and get a FL resident AP...I'm actually proud of myself that it took that long
WOW! Congratulations! Enjoy that Florida sun and use that AP... frequently! :goodvibes

I started a blog (link in my signature) since I'm not going to be planning trips, it will give me a chance to share my Disney-obsession :rolleyes1 We are planning a long weekend for our Anniversary that falls over Food & Wine...but I won't do a PTR every time I decide to go up for the day :lmao:
How far are you away from WDW??? ( I guess I can look it up but I'm lazy)

Good luck with your move and I hope everything works out down south! :goodvibes

Next week???? I'm jealous!!! If I don't talk to you before then have a great trip!!!!

Your November plans sound good. I would lean toward going to a park for a few hours in the AM and then take the rest of the day off.
That's what I am hoping for... but having the baby, who knows, I might need a day off. :rotfl:

Well, you are will be fine with MK on Tuesday. I know a few people who will be in the MK that day. ;)

We are planning the 9th as our MVMCP, but also scared it's going to be busy. I'm hoping all the marathon runners will stay at thier resorts to rest!::yes::
Wait till you see my revised plans. :rotfl:

Thanks for the hint Brook! I think I will do that. :hippie:

The whole party craziness...why does Disney have to do that to us??? I haven't read any updates yet about it all either...nor has Disney adjusted their hours. :headache:
I guess we have gotten to the bottom of the party issue. :headache:  :headache:

Your plans sound great! Your boarding time isn't bad at all, still really early!! :thumbsup2
Thanks! I am planning on getting there early anyway. I need to get a parking spot at the port and hopefully we can get on there earlier. :goodvibes

I think leaving Christopher at home for Juliana's special trip is a good idea. I know she'll appreciate the extra special attention. :thumbsup2
I'm glad you agree. I was thinking of changing the reservation and inviting you... but I'm sure your DW wouldn't have appreciated that. :3dglasses

It is very sad. Rick posted on caringbridge tonight but I have no words for him. It is really sad and I can't imagine the pain they are feeling.

Your plans are sounding great. Any word from the other friends yet on whether or not they are attending?
No word yet. They have a lot going on and they won't know till the summer... I guess?

And I think it is a great idea that you, Mel and Ana are going alone. Ana has been such a trooper through all her testing, etc., and becoming a big sister!
True. Plus Christopher is still young- he won't know what he is missing! :rotfl2::rotfl2:

I don't know how much you've been following the release of the dates for MVMCP but it seems Disney doesn't believe that having parties on Tuesday Nov. 6th and Wednesday Nov. 7th is a good idea. This is really making me rethink the MVMCP all together, but one of the reasons we chose this time of year was 1) low crowds 2) Works (kinda) with school schedules 3) the opening of the new Fantasyland & 4) the chance to see MVMCP. After speaking to everyone, we revised our schedule to fit in MVMCP on Friday the 9th. We adjusted Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. Here is what our NEW REVISED schedule looks like:

Friday Nov. 2
Everyone arrives
Chef Mickey's Dinner

Saturday Nov. 3
We are spending morning/early afternoon at Give Kids The World then visiting with Melody's cousin
Our friends will be heading to some park morning/early afternoon
Dinner- 'Ohana

Sunday Nov. 4
Hollywood Studios
Lunch- Sci-fi
Dinner- Possibly Beaches & Cream (no ADR) (Beach Club Resort) or something in DTD or at our resort?

Monday Nov. 5
Animal Kingdom
Breakfast at Tusker House
Dinner possibly at DTD or a resort or Boma (Animal Kingdom Lodge)
http://allears.net/menu/menu_bomadin.htm

Everyone wants to try Boma.. thanks GLEN for the idea! I've wanted to eat here for a while but I always forget about it.

Tuesday Nov. 6
Magic Kingdom
BBB, Pirate's League
Cinderella's Royal Table Lunch

Wednesday Nov. 7
Touring plans has this day as a 1/10 meaning it should be very slow in the parks. I know that we want to have a day off but it might be worth heading to the parks for the am for a little while? Maybe Melody or I will take Juliana to a park for a few hours. We can also play mini-golf, goto the Boardwalk, take the boat to DTD.
Our friends are probably heading to a park
Dinner- Cape May

Thursday Nov.8
Epcot

Via Napoli (D)
Food and Wine festival is going on so we might not even need a reservation for food if we snack around the World Showcase

Friday Nov.9
MVMCP (Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party) Park entry @4pm.
Breakfast- Kona
Maybe hang at the pool late morning/ early afternoon before the party

Saturday Nov. 10
Bill, Jamie, and the girls leave
Tim possibly running in the 5K in the am
Visiting with Melody's cousin late morning/early afternoon
Dinner- 50's PT
DHS at night to see the Osbourn Lights

Sunday Nov. 11

Dave, Branda, & the kids leave

I'm not sure what we are going to do... maybe MK?

Monday Nov.12
We leave

So there you have it. If anyone has any suggestions where you think I messed up, please let me know. I will also post the touringplans crowd levels soon. I'm beat. Time to head to bed. :faint:

LOL Tim~ We are now on the same schedule. Touring Plans did update the crowd levels this morning but not enough to make me rearrange my park days yet. I'm getting excited for this trip. :)

Thanks Tim! We're about an hour from the Parks :goodvibes Right now we're a little over an hour. Once our house is built we'll be just under an hour!

And it's May, not April :rolleyes1 (check your thread title.)

Hey, are you following me? :confused3 :rotfl2::rotfl2: :rotfl2::rotfl2:

I looked at touringplans last night... figures they would change it this morning. :lmao:

How exciting!!! I guess you won't have to spend money for any resorts now. :thumbsup2

Thanks! That's what I get for changing it at 12am. :duck:

I t looks good.
I origionally had Via Napoli for the 8th for dinner too, but then I thought to do Arkershus for Princesses with my family...but my sister is still undecided if she is staying for the WDW portion of the trip, so I am going to make ADR's for just Claire and I. My Mom won't make any commitments till my sister decides and my Aunt and Uncle are waiting as well, and the cousin wants to do what Aunt and Uncle do. :sad2: So most likely I won't be meeting up with family for dinners. LOL. Which is fine, but I think Claire would like it.
I don't know if it would be right to make an ADR for 12 and then show up with 2? :rotfl:

plans look good Tim :thumbsup2

we ate at Boma in April....it was good and does have some foods for the unaventures in your group!

oh, MVMCP on friday and then you running in the early morning, ouch you are going to be a tired guy!

Tim, plans are looking good. We've never done Boma for dinner, only breakfast (best breakfast buffet in Disney!).

Good to hear Kathy, I'm debating doing it on the 3rd of Nov.

Nicki, the food queen, recommended it and we've gone every year since (she was NOT crazy about dinner). The juice alone is worth the price. :goodvibes

I think your plans look great and I am all for adding Boma to a list of ADRs. I have a funny story of a friend who traveled there with her kids and stayed off site. She canceled a Jiko reservation in the morning (not a kid place) and got an ADR for Boma instead. She loved it so much she went back 2 nights later and just waited for a table.

I have a Boma breakfast scheduled for June and I can't wait!!!!!!!

How exciting!!! I guess you won't have to spend money for any resorts now. :thumbsup2

We're spending a long weekend over our anniversary at the Swan. That way we can indulge at Food & Wine without worrying about needing to drive home. So now Disney is a "staycation." Which also makes me geek out :goodvibes

Good to hear Kathy, I'm debating doing it on the 3rd of Nov.

We did Boma for breakfast last February. It was really great. There were enough adventurous items to make it unique, but enough standards that picky eaters had plenty too.

And I agree with Kathy, the juice is fantastic!! :thumbsup2
