Cruising towards 10 days of fun... a July/Nov 2012- & We're BACK!!! Pg.50-51

Wow, it's getting closer! :cool1: I think I'd probably lean towards letting Christopher stay at home. I'm sure you'll all miss him, but it is only a couple of days and this is Juliana's trip. I know she'll enjoy the extra attention and you'll all be able to do things together that someone might miss out on while caring for Christopher.
We are going to take Christopher off the reservation. Melody's mom said she would watch him for the weekend. We are only 90something days away!

You need to do Carousel of Progress and Hall of Presidents at least once... they're classics. I'd just keep Stitch right there on that list though.:rolleyes1
Maybe this trip? Or maybe DW & I can do those in January... hummmm

I haven't done the Riverboat or Tom Sawyer Island yet. We talked about it during our last trip, but didn't make it that far. I think I'd like to sometime though.

Others that I haven't done are Primeval Whirl, American Idol Experience, and the Lion King and Nemo Shows at Animal Kingdom. I think I've tried everything else at least once.:confused3 Of all those, I have no interest in the AI show, but I'd like to do the others.
I am going to post my complete list and you might be shocked to see what is on there.... :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

I agree the price is CRAZY but to me the extra money was worth not hearing hours and hours of "Are we there yet?" and "I'm bored."
Juliana does that on 30 minute drives. :sad2:

Meadow is 2. She will be just shy of her 3rd birthday when we are in Disney. ( Last free trip for Meadow). Actually I may plan a little party for her and my niece who will be turning 10 a few days after we get home.
I'm sure she is going to love it!!! What a great pre-birthday gift! :thumbsup2

I don't think I've ever done the Carousel of Progress, either. I know, people say it's a classic, but it always loses the battle when I ask myself, "Self, do you want to do CoP or ride Space Mountain again?"
That is a no brainer..... Space Mountain again!!!!! :lmao:

I typically skip the other ones on you list, too, although I wouldn't mind riding the riverboat. I keep trying to convince the kids to skip Dumbo and IASW.
IASW... I'm glad we will get a few more years of riding it now that Christopher is here. :goodvibes So you are one of the IASW haters huh?

I agree with you - when we take a vacation we want to spend time with Jordan which is why we are planning to do the open house at the club where parents can stay and play with their kids. :) (though she will probably be begging to go back on her own without us LOL!)
I think we will have to check out the open house!

since we will be gone wanted to send this early...

Thanks Lisa! I hope you had a great Easter!

Yay for 75 days coming up. Thats an exciting day.
I rode Carrousell of Progress for the very first time on Thursday. It was nice to see, but not anything I will need to get back to anytime soon.
Skip wanted to go on the Liberty Boat, but I vetoed it it..kind of. I just kept directing him away from there. :rotfl:
So are you saying CoP can stay on my to-do list? :rotfl2:

I loved seeing all your pics on FB BTW! :goodvibes

I haven't been on Stitch and don't have a desire to. I did go on it when it was the Alien thing....and it was the scariest thing I have EVER been on.
I might have to do it by myself just to see how bad it is.

We have yet to do Hall of Presidents as well. Skip did it one year while Claire and I did something else.
I think I am going to try to see it in Nov...

I have the same shirt you bought Mel. I brought it down with me this week, but I never wore it. I ended up wearing a different shirt on our Disney day. It will be coming with me in Nov though.
Sweet! Now I'll be able to pick you out of the crowd!

Do you have a PTR for Nov?

Hey Tim.....my it has been a while since we were able to chat anything other than just Pokes on FB to keep in contact! Been very busy lately with work and soccer and LIFE! Trying to get caught up a little on the DIS! Seems like the few minutes I have had lately to do so it has been so slow, I just got frustrated and gave up!
Marv, I'm in the same boat as you. I've been busy and the DIS has been so slow recently. It is frustrating. I hope you and the family have been well. :goodvibes

Wow, four families!!! Should have a great time!
So far, we are still at 3 families.... family #4 still hasn't made a decision yet.

Hope those fares come around for you! Those prices are ridiculous!!!
Still holding steady... This could but a damper on a few splurges while on the trip. :sad2:

It is getting close! Will be here before you know it!
I know! Hitting 90 days soon!

Finally did CoP to mark that one off the list! Haven't done HoP since we went when I was in my teens! And yes Kathy and Lisa, there were a lot less Presidents then!!! :rotfl2:
LOL.... You like setting them up don't you? :lmao:

Hi Tim and family! I had to just skim but i hit all the posts on the table of contents.
Hey!!

First of all, congrats to Juliana on five years!
Thanks! She has been doing quite well!

The cruise looks like so much fun! I'm truly jealous!
I wish it were a day or 2 longer... but we will have fun! :goodvibes

I think we are trying Port Orleans this time too- although i think we will go for the Princess Rooms in Riverside.
I saw the princess rooms and they look really COOL! :cool2:
We were there the last week of Oct/ first week of Nov in 09 and the crowds were great!
We are hoping for low crowds but whatever... it can't be worse than spring break.... right?

I can't believe how big Christopher is getting!
He is solid! Over 18lbs already!

Hi, Tim. I thought I'd pop in and say hi while the DIS is actually working and then say goodbye since I leave in two days for the place you just came back from. :goodvibes

I loved the updated photos on FB of the kids in Florida. Christopher looks like his mommy!

I know we just got back but can I be jealous that you are going to Florida in 2 days? :lmao: :lmao:

Maybe while you are gone I can catch up on a few threads and possibly get an update posted here. :surfweb:

Of course you'll do an update while I'm gone. Don't you always? I think last time I was gonee you started a PTR or something. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

I think I've only done one update since you were gone. I was a little busy last weekend....I had visitors--the kids (I was going to post a picture from their visit, but photobucket is giving me fits).

****Okay, I was able to download the photos on my work computer, but not home! Here are just two (I don't want to bore you or hijack your thread completely):

We were practicing the "carry over the threshold"

Are you going to just stand idly by and let Kathy hijack your thread like that?!?!? :lmao:

Hope you had a great Easter trip to Florida!

cute photos Kathy!

hope you had a fun trip and lots of sun in FL! hope to see some of YOUR photos here soon!

BTW - started our HI cruise TR...piggybacked onto my other TR's:thumbsup2

I think it's time to post some tentative plans! :p :goodvibes

BTW, everything I read/see confirms what the CMs have said about the 2-nighters say "No Pirate Night." :( I hope Disney reconsiders this.

Hey everyone.....

My DIS time has been non-existant over the last few weeks and I know I have to respond to many of you but I'm writing today to ask for prayers. If you remember when we were on Juliana's Make-A-Wish trip, we met a TSA agent in the airport on the way home. His name was Rick and his daughter, Erin, had the same cancer that Juliana had, but Erin's cancer was spreading. Rick saw how healthy Juliana looked and his hope for Erin was revived and his faith was renewed that someday Erin would be cancer free. Well that day came yesterday when Erin earned her wings and was called back to Him. She was 8 years old. Please keep Erin, Rick, mom Kelly, and sister Leah in your prayers. They have all been fighting for so long. Give all your kids a big hug today.

Tim

That's very sad. That family definitely needs some prayers. I'm sure it makes you realize how special Juliana is right now.

Will be keeping them in our prayers :hug::hug:

That's such sad news!
Prayers and hope for strength to pull through this difficult time for them.

So sad Tim. Thoughts and prayers going out to the family. Fighting back the tears as I read this.

I'm so sorry to read that Tim. That's very sad. I remember when you posted about meeting him and how happy he was to meet Juliana and talk with you guys about the struggle that you all shared.

Tim, I do remember them. I am so sorry for their family and will keep them all in prayer.

I am sending big hugs to you and Mel as well....

I remember you talking about meeting Rick - I am so sorry to hear about Erin. I will definitely be keeping their family in my thoughts.
