Cruising towards 10 days of fun... a July/Nov 2012- & We're BACK!!! Pg.50-51

We already had eaten lunch and did a little exploring when we noticed it was 1:15pm. We walked down to deck 7 to find our stateroom ready! I was trying to keep this trip as cheap as possible so I booked an interior room. I mean we were just going to be in there to sleep, right?

We opened the door and saw this....

I didn't think to take pictures of the bathroom, closets, or drawers.

We unpacked and got changed for the pool. Juliana decorated our door with magnets that our TA made for us!

DSC04240.jpg

We went back outside to find a spot next to the pool.

DSC04241.jpg

We finally found a spot then we saw two old friends...

DSC04242.jpg

Juliana was having fun swimming in the Goofy pool... and I guess Melody was having fun drinking. LOL

DSC04244.jpg

It wasn't long before Chip & Dale were replaced by my favorite, Pluto! Juliana and I had to take a picture.

DSC04245.jpg

After the picture, Juliana was back in the pool and Melody & I were back to drinking Miami Vice's- 1/2 pina colada 1/2 strawberry daiquiri. They were good but I swear there was no alcohol in them.

DSC04247.jpg

We walked over to the Mickey pool and Juliana wanted to try out the slide. The line was pretty long, which gave me time to take some more pictures of the ship.

She finally made it to the top....

DSC04253.jpg

Here she comes!

DSC04254.jpg

Juliana didn't want to wait in line agin so she was off playing in the Mickey pool.

DSC04257.jpg

Can you spot her in Mickey's left ear?

We heard an announcement that the lifeboat drill was going to be happening in 30 minutes and the pools were going to be closing. Perfect time to head back to the room for a few minutes before the drill.

What a fun afternoon! That's Jeff's beef with resort drinks in general, pricey and no booze. But you get a cool glass!

What a perfect way to spend a day!
I had thought the Magic changed their bedding to match the new ships, but I guess not. I "think" the Wonder did, so maybe the Magic is next.

Joining in. What wonderful news with your daughter being cancer free. Enjoying your PTR and reading about the cruise. I was suppose to go on that cruise that weekend but I had just gotten a new job in April and could not take time off. Can't wait to read more about it. I heard it was a great 2 day trip.

looks like a fun afternoon! Megan lived in the mickeypool when we went on the Magic in 2005! great spot for the little kids to hang out!

no booze in the drinks, of course not...they want you to buy more of them!

Great start to your trip.
Ana seems to fully enjoy herself, well, and it looks like her parents do too!

Can't wait for more! :thumbsup2

Looks like you are well on your way to having a total blast.

If I ever go on a cruise- I need to remember to bring booze to spike the DOTD. :lmao:

I was trying to keep this trip as cheap as possible
Really? Is keeping it cheap even a possibility with a Disney Cruise? :confused3 :lmao:

I didn't think to take pictures of the bathroom, closets, or drawers.
It's probably a good thing you didn't take pictures of the bathroom. That's Barry's thing and you don't want to be like him.

Juliana was having fun swimming in the Goofy pool... and I guess Melody was having fun drinking. LOL
Those 2 activities would probably be my top priorities once I got on the boat.:thumbsup2

After the picture, Juliana was back in the pool and Melody & I were back to drinking Miami Vice's- 1/2 pina colada 1/2 strawberry daiquiri. They were good but I swear there was no alcohol in them.
Well, that's a rip off. I guess that's why beer is a good option. They can't hold out on the alcohol there! :lmao::rotfl2:

I guess I need to slow down when I read things. I thought the art above the bed was the opening line to Smoke on the Water.
Daa Daa Daa. Daa Daa DAAAAA DAAAA.

I didn't think to take pictures of the bathroom, closets, or drawers.
Rookie.:sad2:

We unpacked and got changed for the pool. Juliana decorated our door with magnets that our TA made for us!
that's nice!

Love the pictures. Disney really knows how to build ships, don't they?

It's probably a good thing you didn't take pictures of the bathroom. That's Barry's thing and you don't want to be like him.
No one can be like me. You can only try. :thumbsup2

What a fun afternoon! That's Jeff's beef with resort drinks in general, pricey and no booze. But you get a cool glass!
$9 is an expensive glass! :crazy2:

I guess that is why you need to BYOB and mix your own! ::yes::

What a perfect way to spend a day!
I had thought the Magic changed their bedding to match the new ships, but I guess not. I "think" the Wonder did, so maybe the Magic is next.
Humm... I don't even know what the new bedding looks like. So, I guess it didn't matter to us! :rotfl2:

I was suppose to go on that cruise that weekend but I had just gotten a new job in April and could not take time off. Can't wait to read more about it. I heard it was a great 2 day trip.
:welcome:

Thank you for the kind words! We had a really good time on the cruise. I wish it was 1 day longer but I don't think my DW could of taken being away from our 11month old son for 1 more day. :lmao:

looks like a fun afternoon! Megan lived in the mickeypool when we went on the Magic in 2005! great spot for the little kids to hang out!
Juliana would of stayed in there all day if we let her. She was having a blast!

no booze in the drinks, of course not...they want you to buy more of them!
So what you are saying is that we were paying $9 a drink for shaved ice and flavoring? :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Great start to your trip.
Ana seems to fully enjoy herself, well, and it looks like her parents do too!

Can't wait for more! :thumbsup2
You are correct... her parents DO know how to enjoy themselves! :lmao:

Looks like you are well on your way to having a total blast.

If I ever go on a cruise- I need to remember to bring booze to spike the DOTD. :lmao:
Pat, that is a smart idea. You will just have to keep a backpack with you at all times. You are going to have to stock it with vodka, rum, tequila,......

Your drinks sound good in theory hahaha...too bad they were mixed weak!
When Melody says she can't taste the alcohol, you know they are weak. Me on the other hand, mix drinks so I can taste something in them. :rotfl2:

Really? Is keeping it cheap even a possibility with a Disney Cruise? :confused3 :lmao:
Touche... :thumbsup2

It's probably a good thing you didn't take pictures of the bathroom. That's Barry's thing and you don't want to be like him.
True. But what am I going show people when I become a Disney TA and they ask me for them?

Those 2 activities would probably be my top priorities once I got on the boat.:thumbsup2
::yes::

Well, that's a rip off. I guess that's why beer is a good option. They can't hold out on the alcohol there! :lmao::rotfl2:
I had a few beers but it was really hot and humid. I wanted something to cool me off. I drank the drink in like 3 minutes... :littleangel:

I guess I need to slow down when I read things. I thought the art above the bed was the opening line to Smoke on the Water.
Daa Daa Daa. Daa Daa DAAAAA DAAAA.
That would be a little weird for a cruise ship. pixiedust:

Love the pictures. Disney really knows how to build ships, don't they?
Yes. Yes they do.

No one can be like me. You can only try. :thumbsup2
Where is that vomiting smilie again? :rolleyes2

I think Mel is entitled...she puts up with you, doesn't she? ;)

It wasn't long before Chip & Dale were replaced by my favorite, Pluto! Juliana and I had to take a picture.

DSC04245.jpg

You do love your Pluto...I remember from previous TR's.

We walked over to the Mickey pool and Juliana wanted to try out the slide. The line was pretty long, which gave me time to take some more pictures of the ship.

What a fun afternoon! That's Jeff's beef with resort drinks in general, pricey and no booze. But you get a cool glass!

I have to agree with this, except, of course, for the OKW turtle crawl! :rotfl:

I think your cabin is perfect and those are wonderful magnets from your TA. Great pictures of Juliana on the slide. Oh - and see the backdrop of NYC is really, really cool! :thumbsup2

love the update. Juliana looks like she's having so much fun in that pool.

Seriously? Really? What the heck were you thinking after ALL of yoru Disney trips?
Ummmm... brain fart? :confused3

That came up fast didn't it? I guess it is time to start planning out the rest of the trip huh?

I have to agree with this, except, of course, for the OKW turtle crawl! :rotfl:
I saw that recipe on Cynthia's thread. Sounds like my kind of drink... all alcohol! :lmao:

I think your cabin is perfect and those are wonderful magnets from your TA. Great pictures of Juliana on the slide. Oh - and see the backdrop of NYC is really, really cool! :thumbsup2
I really hope DCL comes back to NYC. I can see us doing another cruise from there. It is really convenient for us. :goodvibes

love the update. Juliana looks like she's having so much fun in that pool.
She would of stayed in that pool all day if we let her. :lmao:

I hope to be back with another cruise update but I wanted to give you an update on our Nov. trip since I've been ignoring that. But I guess this is my PTR and I can do what I want. :snooty:

*Last you knew we had plane tickets to Florida but not home. Well we have flights home now. We are flying in and out of Tampa for $290. I was going to rent a car anyway so we will have an extra hour of driving time. The Orlando flight prices were just ridiculous.

*If you remember our schedule (:lmao::lmao:), I planned on going to Give Kids the World to visit on Saturday 11/3. I was on their site and I just found out that GKTW is having a 5K run that morning. I'm sure it is going to be really busy there that day so I'm going to have to change some plans. I'm not sure when we will fit that into the schedule. I have to talk to Melody about it. I also have to talk to her about the possibility of RUNNING in the 5K at GKTW. That might be really cool.

*We booked a haircut for Christopher on Sat. 11/3 at 4:00 on Main St.... 2 hours before our 'Ohana ADR.

*Our friends Bill & Jamie and their girls are now arriving on Nov.1st to take advantage of FD.

*I still haven't purchased MVMCP tix yet.

*It is official! The Osbourne lights are starting on Friday Nov.9th! Good news is we will get to see them!! Bad news it, DHS is going to be a ZOO that weekend.

*I'm still thinking of running in the Jingle Jungle 5K in AK on Sat. 11/10. If I do sign up for both of these 5Ks, at least I know that I will run 2 times while in Disney! :lmao::lmao:

In life news, this Thursday Christopher will be turning 1! I cannot believe how fast this year has gone. The theme for Christopher's party is... wait for it.... Mickey Mouse! Melody and our friend Jamie, made the invitations for his party-

Let's hope that we have decent weather on Sunday because we are having over 50 people at our house. :scared:

And a few recent pictures of the kids:

Glad you got reasonably priced flights. They have gone crazy lately! :scared1:

:woohoo: for trying to run two 5ks!

The invitations to Christopher's party are adoreable! What a cute idea!

And I cannot believe how the kids have grown. Juliana looks like a young lady already and Christopher is just too cute! :thumbsup2
