Cruise's (Chris) Accountability/Sap Journal :) (comments welcome)

Wow Chris,

Congrats on the 30lb clippie :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: I'm so happy for you. You deserve it! Keep up the great work :)

CONGRATULATIONS CHRIS!!

Your new gold clippie looks wonderful. You have worked really hard, and definately deserve it.

I have a qestion for you. How did you find your nutritionist? With all if Katie's allergies, I think I need to get a nutritionist involved.

TIA,
Beth

Thanks everyone - my next mini-goal is getting closer. I tried my wedding band on tonight and it almost fits. I think I could wear it but I'd like it just a little, teeny, tiny less snug - not much more. Probably by the time I hit 35. My husband will be very surprised because I haven't told him I'm getting close to being able to wear it (now hopefully he hasn't been reading my journals).

Yes, Operation Cornfields to Coastlines was done by 4 ladies (one being a good friend and co-Girl Scout leader of mine) put together in less than 4 days timeframe. One of the ladies family members lived in Mississippi and they lost everything - her brother and parents lost everything and they lost their family business. So this was started to get as much as they could in a trailer and get it to the south. It was going to be dropped off in Mississippi and what they couldn't use passed on to Louisiana. I donated all of my clothes that are now too large that I didn't need to get me by until I was able to go shopping. I filled a very large bag. I also helped sort clothes on Saturday for an hour. They sold tshirts for $5 with the money going to help pay for gas for the truck, which was donated by the ladies other brother's company and he donated his time to drive the truck down and back. So we got my daughter one and I got it in a L because I knew she was close to that size again. It was AWESOME!!!! And I was told at a church meeting the other night by my friend that the last item to be dropped off were a big box of bibles by some kind gentleman, they don't know who. So they moved stuff around to have a spot to put them - it was the last thing loaded and was going to be the first thing unloaded!!!! Makes me teary thinking about it. Awesome is the best word to use.

Well today went okay. Here's what I had:

breakfast
fat free yogurt

lunch
lean cuisine baked chicken
cheese stick
9 carrots
1 celery stick
2 TBSP dip

snack
fat free tapioca pudding

dinner
3 pieces of pizza

snack
2 cups popcorn, no butter

And totals were: 1358 cals, 50.2 fat grams, 167.1 carbs.

I vacuumed tonight but otherwise did not workout. Cat had a vet checkup so that was priority on the list tonight. She's on a diet now too :) She gained almost 2 pounds - I KNEW my weight was going somewhere!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: She's a good cat.

Everyone have a good evening. Gonna be a tough day at work tomorrow. Saturday we're working at the concession stand for Habitat at the NIU first home football game of the season - hoping to meet Lisa!!!!! Then Sunday I'm going to try and go shopping - gotta go to Archiver's (scrapbook superstore basically) and get some stuff for a crop I'm going to next Saturday and then I want to go to Catherine's, a plus sized store, to see if I can find a couple of things on sale for Florida. This will be the first time I'm actually excited to go shopping - to see what I can fit into!!!

Keep on

Congratulations Chris on the 30 pound clippie!!! 30 pounds in two months is awesome, but be careful about losing too much too quickly. Keep up the great work and you'll be at your goal in no time :teeth:

Hi, Chris! I am happy to see that you lost 30 pounds! I think that is just great! I am hoping to hit 30 pounds soon, too! Have fun shopping! :goodvibes

Thanks everyone. Tera - I appreciate your concern. I've been concerned about that too but, believe, there has been no holds barred lately - I have been eating everything and not letting myself be deprived. I've eaten cookie dough, cookies, M&M's, and other things that I was trying to stay away from. I don't want to increase my calorie intake to past 1500 and I'm trying to hit that each day. I'm trying to work more food into my day as well so that I do hit that but it just isn't happening some days. But I do appreciate your words.

Got on the scale again and I was down another .5 for 31 total now. And that means I hit 5/5. I'm happy about that.

Well hope everyone has a great day. Just had to check in quickly.

Keep on
Chris

You are doing really good. I am so envious that you have lost all that weight! Your loss might start to slow down, but 5 lbs a month is still awesome! And having lost so much already is such a motivation to stick to it. Congrats! :cool1:

Hi Chris!

Just wanted to say congrats on your 30lb clippie and your great efforts in Hurricane Katrina relief. Very admirable! :)

I hope that you have a happy & healthy weekend!
Mike :goodvibes

Congrats on the new clippie! You've worked hard for it!

You made an amazing contribution to the relief efforts. Thanks again for you offer to help out up here as well. People have been extraordinarily generous, which creates a lot of work! We finished at the site where I was working, but there's still so much more to do!

I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend! :flower:

Well yesterday was a very eventful day, I didn't get to meet Lisa (sorry if I missed meeting you Lisa, maybe next time!!!!) but NIU beat Tennessee Tech 42-3. Now, I'm not a huge football fan but I like to keep up on the local sports and some of the pro - it was exciting hearing the cannons go off with each touchdown!!!!! That way we knew what was at least going on, our concession stand didn't have a TV so we didn't get to watch any of the game. Next time I'm taking a radio so we can at least hear the game.

One good thing, for me anyway, was that I didn't eat anything. I had lunch before we went and my dh was making steak for dinner. Plus I was too busy to eat. I was lucky to get anything to drink but I did. There were 26,000+ at the game - it was Family Weekend. I think there's like 10 concession stands and our Habitat chapter had 2. I think the next game I'm working is Homecoming in October :earseek: :earseek:

Okay so I did good on food. I didn't write anything down but was very conscious of what I ate and lost another .5 to make it 32.5 I had a Lean Hot Pocket Philly Steak (I didn't really care for it but ate it), 1/2 cup cottage cheese, fat free yogurt, 1 Reese's Peanut Butter cup for breakfast/lunch and then had 8 ounce New York Strip and 4 ounces of potato with 1/2 cup mushrooms for dinner. Not a great food day but I'm sure I probably ate at least 1100 calories (with the steak making up most of that). Oh, and I had 4 Chips Ahoy cookies while I was reading Harry Potter last night - 6 CHAPTERS TO GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tonight I HAVE to finish it. I stopped last night before it got too good as it was 10:30 and I knew I couldn't sleep too late today.

So off to church and then to Naperville for some shopping for some new clothes!!!!! I have never been so excited to go shopping for clothes!!!!

Everyone have a great Sunday!!!!!
Keep on

Hi Chris!

Great job keeping your eating good yesterday! Places like stadiums, fairs, (Disneyworld!) are my downfall so I avoid them (well not WDW!! haha). Glad that you had a nice day and congrats on the .5 loss!!! :) Good job!!!

We will have to talk once you finish HP! I am excited for you to go down the big rollercoaster hill that the last few chapters are!!! Enjoy them and ... I was going to say something else but that might spoil it a little, so I won't!!! :)

Have a great Sunday!

Chris,
I'm so sorry I didn't get a chance to meet you! I tried looking for the table and even checked with the "May I Help You?" people and they didn't know where you were located. Bummer!
All in all, though it was an awesome game!
I probably won't be there for the next game (Wed. night), but for sure on the next Saturday game.
Oh, and don't worry, I probably got something confused and looked for the wrong table or something...oops!
I can't wait to meet you though! :) :sunny: :flower: :cool1: :earsgirl: :teeth: :wizard:

HI Chris,

Way to go on the loss!!! That is great. You did a great job on what you ate!

Keep up the good work. Hope you had a great weekend!

Thanks Mike. Sorry Lisa - I do know the next Saturday game I think is Homecoming and I'll be down at the stand on the main level off of the entrance to Gate 16 (on the north end). That's where I was yesterday and know I'll be there the next time too. I won't be at the Wednesday game either. I just didn't have a clue where I was going to be until I got there yesterday.

Well today was a pretty good day. I walked into Catherine's and was highly disappointed. I'm very picky about my clothes. I don't wear v-neck or revealing clothing - I just never have because I've never, even when thin, have been comfortable in it. But I found 2 tshirts for now and Disney. I did go to Dress Barn in the woman's section and got 2 sweaters, 2 shirts, and button down shirt in 22/24 (their 3X). They are just fitting so they'll look nice on me, you'll be able to tell I've lost weight. The button down shirt doesn't button so I got the 2 shirts to go underneath until I can button it - in fall colors. I spent more than I would have liked to but I'll be able to wear them all fall.

DD and I enjoyed a nice lunch at Olive Garden, had a small bowl of salad, 2 breadsticks and we split the Tour of Italy which included 1 piece of Chicken Parmesean, 1 large piece of lasagna, and about 2 cups of Fettucini Alfredo. I don't like the FA so she at 1 cup of that and brought a cup home, 1 ate half a piece of the half piece of lasagna and brought the other piece and a half home, and we both ate the chicken parmesean. It was very good and I stopped when I was full. But I did point out to Britt that before now we would have eaten a whole bowl of salad, 2 or 3 baskets of breadsticks and all our plate of food. So I think we did good.

The bad part, but it was good, was we went into the Lindt store - I had an almond thing, and we each had 3 Lindt truffles that we like. But they were soooooo good. And I had been down in some calories this weekend so I felt it was okay.

Came home and dh had gotten some taco steak meat at the butcher yesterday so we had tacos with peppers and onions and low fat/carb/high fiber tortillas and I had 2. I'm stuffed. Trying to catch up on the water.

I think I'm deciding that as long as I watch what I'm eating and stop when I'm full I'm not going to count anything on the weekends. I want to see how I do. During the week I'm going to continue counting everything. I'm expecting a little gain from today but that's okay. I had a nice day with my daughter. We both needed that I think. She got a nice top and a very nice Breast Cancer Research bracelet from Casual Corner (didn't find any clothes in there either).

Hope everyone had a good day.
Keep on
Chris

Hi Chris,

Glad you had a nice time out with your DD, even if the shopping did not bring the results you wished. I salute your control in the Garden of Olive!!! hehe! I could not stop at 2 breadsticks!! They are just way too good! hehe Or is that way too bad! LOL

Have a great start to your week!
Mike :goodvibes

Hiya Chris,
I"m sorry it took so long for me to finally get around to posting on your journal. (shy/lurker)

Thank you so much, for being so encouraging on my journal. As well as CONGRATS on the 30 pound loss! At first i didnt' know what a clippie was but i think i figured it out! :rotfl:

Your doing fabulous, and dont' worry the 3 truffles were at most 150cals!

Hi Chris!

It sounds like you had a great day yesterday with your DD! Don't you just love Olive Garden? The first time I had Tour of Italy was at the one in Orlando and to this day, it is the best meal I have ever had at an Olive Garden. :goodvibes

Hope you have a fabulous week! :sunny:
