Cruise's (Chris) Accountability/Sap Journal :) (comments welcome)

Way to go Chris!!!!! :cheer2: :cheer2:
You have all right to brag I think. You are doing such a good job!!!!

Isn't is great to put on something that never fit before and then even better to find out that it was smaller than what you thought. I had that happen right before vacation!!!

Keep up the awesome job!

Chris -- You have every right to be on :cloud9: and bragging to the WORLD!! We are so excited for you. As someone who has been struggling with her weight since she was 10, I know exactly what you mean about finding pleasure in clothes again! Congratulations, sweetie! I am so happy and proud for you. Keep this happy feeling in your head and your heart and use it to motivate yourself to keep up the great work!

Cam

Thanks guys - I do appreciate it. I did forget to say in my post - these are older jeans - that I wore 4 years ago!!!!!

I agree with Cam and Jamie - you have EARNED those bragging rights!! :cool1: And it doesn't sound like bragging to me, it sounds like someone who is extremely proud of her accomplishments sharing her excitement with everyone!

You are doing amazing, keep it up and soon those jeans will be too big!!! ::yes::

Well I'm happy to report some news this morning - I lost 1.5 and I'm back down to 32 pounds off and 6 for the month. I was so happy this morning when I got on the scale. THEN I decided to wear jeans today - I haven't worn jeans in over 4 years. I bought a pair last spring and never wore them because they needed to be shortened. They were a size 32 and I donated them with the rest of my clothes. I had 2 other pair, donated another one and kept these. I thought they were a 28. I put them on and was like - COOL THEY FIT. And they do, just fit. They are a tad bit more tight than I like but they fit. And so when I was in the bathroom I looked at the tag, just to reassure myself that I am in a smaller size and I was surprise - they are actually a size 26!!!!! (I'm actually in a smaller size than that but with jeans I have to get about 3 sizes larger than what I normally wear in other pants). I was so excited!!!!

So anyway, that really beefed up my attitude. I really needed to see both of these today. I know I've been "bragging" somewhat of what I've been able to wear but since I've dealt with my weight since I was 11 this is major for me. A major life changing activity that I didn't think I'd ever be able to do again.

Thanks everyone - have a great day!
Keep on

Well yesterday scrapbooking was extremely successful. I did 18 pages and got my book done. I had worked on this for a year and I was so happy to have finished it. Now I just have to figure out which one I'm going to start next. I hae so many to do. We'll see.

Well even with the bad things that I ate yesterday I did pretty good. I ended up losing a pound, which I was happy about. I had a very small half bagel with about 1/4 tsp of cream cheese on it for breakfast and had brought a fat free yogurt; had a nice sandwich and forgot to take my own bread with turkey, lettuce, and tomato and I took off the cheese, had about 6 chips from the regular Lay's that came with it, past up the chocolate chip cookie but had that later; for dinner had 3 pieces of pizza and a huge plate of salad with 2 TBSP ranch dressing; for snacks I ate some Whitman's Weight Watcher snacks I had bought, had a few pieces of Good and Plenty licorice pieces, had a couple of pieces of cherry Twizzler's pieces, had a bag of Ritz Crisps (did you know these very close to the 100 cal packs? and they are pretty good), had a lemon drop and I think that was it. I past up the chocolate basket. I drank my 84 ounces of water (and man did I feel it - I spent a good amount of time in the bathroom but I chalked some of that as getting some exercise because my table was quite a ways away from the bathroom). Anyway, it was a fun day with my daughter.

Today so far I've had some leftover sesame chicken (only ate about half of it cause it just didn't taste good), a fat free yogurt, and a small bowl of fried rice out at our festival for our church/school. Tonight we're going to have pizza so I'll have a few pieces. I'm just not very hungry today.

Hope you all had a great weekend. Next weekend is going to be a bit calmed and I can't wait!!!!

Keep on
Chris

Hi Chris!

Wow, 18 scrapbook pages and resisting chocolate??!!
What a day! Great job!
Hope you have a great week!

Thanks guys - I meant to get on here last night and it didn't work out. Didn't get home until 8pm and then ate and then was gone again until 9:30 and then it was time to crash.

Yesterday I got back on track - all last week was horrible and I didn't track much and didn't track anything this weekend. I woke up feeling totally bloated and just icky. I had 114 ounces of water (84 at work and then another 30 at Jazzercise). Here's what I ate:

breakfast
South Beach peanut butter bar
fat free yogurt
cheese stick

lunch
Lean Cuisine Steak Tips Dijon
1/2 cup fat free frozen yogurt

snack
18 carrots
2 TBSP dip
100 cal oreo snack

dinner
1 cup sausages, onions, peppers
1 cup white rice

Totals were: 1492 cals, 38.7 fat grams, 186.5 carbs, 11 grams of fiber

Those SB peanut butter bar things are gross - I think anyway. So no more of them.

Today is all planned out so far and here's my food:
breakfast
low fat granola bar
fat free yogurt
cheese stick

lunch
Lean Cuisine Roasted Turkey (& green beans)
1/2 cup cottage cheese
snack sized almond joy

snack
18 carrots
1 TBSP dip

dinner
Market Day Lemon Chicken Breast
1/2 cup chicken rice
1 cup green beans

My totals so far are: 987 cals, 23.1 fat grams, 118.6 carbs, 8.9 fiber grams. I have to eat more so I'll have a good snack before I go workout if dinner isn't ready before we go or I'll have some fat free frozen yogurt for dessert tonight. I want to stay around 1200 calories now as I'm finding being around 1500 is not helping much. Britt has a nutritionist check up on Friday so I'm going to ask her at what I should be at for cals. We'll see.

Back to Jazzercise tonight again - had 84 ounces of water so far (just finished the last 42 ounces) and will hit 30 during Jazzercise to put me at 114 again. And I have been back to power peeing - UGH!!!! But making sure I stop and go.

Everyone have a good night!
Keep on
Chris

Hi Chris

You are doing great today woman. You definately need a good snack tonight though. I am having an apple and peanut butter tonight. Have fun at Jazzerize.
Take time,
Beth

Chris, I'm impressed!

Scrapbooking??? I've been married 23 years and never even managed to put any pics into a photo album. WOW!! You're my new idol!

And resisting Chocolate? Now I know you must be superwoman!

Hope you're having a great week!

Hi Chris!

You're doing sooo well!!! Yay for back on track and all the good stuff you're doing for yourself!!!

Great job!
Mike :goodvibes

Hi Chris,

You are doing such a good job. And way to go for getting back on track this week. We all have those weeks/days when things don't go right!

Keep up the good work. You are doing a great job!

Looks like your back on track this week. I had a bad week last week too. I kept giving into temptation. For some reason, this week has been much better for me. Congrats for sticking with your program! :flower:

I had an okay night last night but I got on the scale this morning and I'm so incredibly frustrated. I have been good, really good yesterday; hit at or below 1500 calories (even though I wanted 1200); got back to working out; TOM is gone and my scale has not moved!!!! In fact, it has gone up, like it usually does on the last day of TOM but then it's usually gone. I did very well the last two days and nothing. No movement. I even got on last night and usually I have a 3 pound gain during the day. The scale was exactly the same this morning as it was last night as it was yesterday morning. I checked the scale and the darned thing appears to work. UGH - I'm so mad!!!!!

Here's what I had yesterday:
breakfast
low fat granola bar
fat free yogurt
cheese stick

lunch
Lean Cuisine Roasted Turkey (& green beans)
1/2 cup cottage cheese
snack sized almond joy

snack
18 carrots
1 TBSP dip

dinner
Market Day Lemon Chicken Breast
1/2 cup chicken rice
1 cup green beans

snack
4 cups popcorn w/ 1/2 tsp margarine
3/4 cup fat free frozen yogurt
Totals are: 1430 cals, 44.6 fats, 170.6 carbs, 12.9 fibers; drank 114 ounces of water

So today is nothing out of the ordinary. I'm sticking exactly to what I have planned and not eating anything that has too much salt. I'm really watching that. Last night I could even get my wedding band on fine and today it was tight. So I've got something going on and I need to figure out what is going on. I'm so pissed.

Sorry to be a downer but I hate it when you work your butt off and then get nothing. Oh well, back to it today.

Keep on
Chris

:grouphug: Don't be frusterated! I'm not quite sure myself but perhaps its water retention? Have you been exercising a lot lately? I found that the more active i was, a slightly higher calorie intake actually helped moved the scale.

It's only been 2 days, give it some more time! Till then *hugs hugs hugs hugs* You can do it! :cool1: Stay motivated!

Hang in there Chris! I feel your pain - remember I was at the SAME WEIGHT for 2.5 months straight! I am no expert, but I think you have been losing weight so rapidly that your body finally figured out what the heck you are doing and is adjusting. Keep up what you are doing and whatever you do, don't stop working out and tracking what you eat! Your weight loss might slow down to 1-2 lbs per week, which is perfectly healthy! :goodvibes

Another thing I tried (and I attribute to kick starting my weight loss) is incorporating weights into my exercise routine. I talked to a personal trainer and he said building muscle burns fat (plus tones your body). Once I started doing 20-30 minutes of weight training and 25 minutes of cardio (instead of 45 minutes of cardio), the weight started coming off. I have been doing that for the past 2 weeks and I have lost 3 lbs!

Don't fret, it sounds like water retention and it will go away. Us women have it rough in that department, don't we? We are here for you!! :grouphug:

Thanks guys. I do sure hope it's water retention. I can't think of anything else as I've been doing really well this week.

Amy - you are probably right and I remember saying I knew this would happen at some point. I was hoping it would wait until I hit 50 pounds off before it did this. I do have strength training in Jazzercise - about 15 minutes - but it's hard for me to do them outside of that because I'm still dealing with past carpel tunnel issues. So I'm doing this while someone is around me to help me out.

I decided that today I'm going to drop my calorie intake back down to 1200. I have hit almost 1500 the last two days. I'm sure my body is majorily confused.

And yes, it does suck to be a woman trying to lose weight!!!!!
