Cruise's (Chris) Accountability/Sap Journal :) (comments welcome)

Well tonight we went out and bought some of the stuff to donate to the relief efforts that are heading to Mississippi and I was so amazed by what they had collected so far. I'm sure it wasn't half a trailer yet but it had to have been close and this was only 1/2 way through today and they have tomorrow to go. I'm so humbled to see people dropping things off and these people working so hard to accomplish something so great. I can't wait to go help tomorrow! I cleaned my closets and got rid of a lot of my fat clothes that are now too big. I ordered some more pants and shorts - two sizes smaller. I can't wait to get them!!!!! As I was going through my clothes I found clothes that I thought I had thrown out last fall that will now fit me and some that are two sizes smaller (shirts) that will fit me in the winter. The hard part was getting rid of a pair of jeans I purchased this spring and I never got to wear. I tried them on and I can get down to about 2 sizes now from what that size was. I was happy but it was $35 that will now be worn on someone else.

So here's what I had today:
breakfast
fat free yogurt
cheese stick

lunch
taco salad, no shell
apples with carmel dip

snack
fat free tapioca pudding

dinner
4 ounces ham
8 ounces new potatoes
1 TBSP brummel and brown
1 cup green beans

snack
1 cup fat free frozen yogurt
1/4 cup fat free cool whip

And my totals: 1318 cals, 43.02 fat grams, 205.32 carbs

A bit high on the fats but overall okay.

Have a good night!

Hope everyone has a good day. I'll be back to tonight to finish catching up. I'm almost there!!!! :)

Back from the fair. I love going to the fair, I always have. This is the time of year that I run into people I haven't seen in a while and I ran into an old girl scout leader (she's not old but isn't a leader anymore) and it is always great seeing her. She has such a zest for life and her and think a lot alike. Then we ran into my brother's kindergarten teacher (whose sister was my 2nd grade religion teacher) in one of the exhibit halls, then there is this guy that is an AWESOME woodcarver that I use to work with when I worked in the town that the fair is held in and it was nice chatting with him, and we ran into some DISers (Crissup and CarolAnnC for anyone that knows them from other boards here). Food was GREAT!!! I had my footlong corndog that I had been waiting so anxiously for; had my 1/4 white chicken and about 1/8th cup of coleslaw, 1/2 cup of applesauce, not even 1/8 cup of baked beans, and 1/2 cup of cottage cheese; then dd wanted a chocolate malt/milkshake thing and I had half of that. I so wanted an elephant ear (dough that is spread out wide and then deep fried until crisp, brushed with butter, then sprinkled with sugar and cinnamon) but I resisted because I ate half the chocolate malt thing. I think I would have been sick if I would have eaten that. Bought some arm pack things that hold a water bottle (we each got one) for our trip in December and future trips - mine will hold my camera and batteries and cards plus a bigger pocket to hold my keys, money, etc. And then bought some crafty stuff for my dining room table - seasonal stuff.

So today I had the food listed above plus a low fat granola bar, fat free yogurt and the last part of my Qdoba leftovers that I didn't eat yesterday. Before the fair I had drank 46 ounces of water and I'm on my next 18 and very thirsty - drank only soda at the fair because they had water that I don't like (yes, I'm picky with my water).

And oh my gosh - I went and helped sort clothing and load things for the hurricane victims collection that I had mentioned about earlier this week and how overwhelming it was - awesome the amount of items they were getting - I just cannot describe the generosity of people. I myself gave a HUGE bag of clothes that I'm NOT going to wear again (I figured best to get them out of my house so I don't get tempted to gain my weight back), a big bag of sheets and pillowcases, a big bag of shoes, a big bag of towels and rags for cleaning, and a big bag of kids clothes. On top of that last night we went out and bought a bunch of stuff from the dollar store (so we could get more than we would at WalMart) and ended up with 6 full bags of stuff from there. It was just so awesome!!!!!

Well off to ready Harry Potter 6 (I'm about a 1/4 way in to it) and finish some journals that I didn't get to last night. Everyone have a good night.

Keep on

Sounds like you did well at the fair! Foot long corn dogs??? How fun is that!

Hope the rest of your weekend goes well!

Thanks guys - and thanks for not spoiling it for me Mike and Kim - I have changed my mind like 6 times already on who is going to die and I just can't figure it out yet. But the change in teachers for Potions and Defense Against the Darks - OOOOOHHHHHHHHHH never saw that one coming either!!!!! WOW (this is not a spoiler so if you haven't read the book yet, you gotta!!!!).

Well to my surprise when I got on the scale today I stayed the same :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc I was so excited. I went shopping today at Super WalMart and found some JMS tshirts a size smaller for $3 so I got two for Disney - now I've got 4 size smaller shirts to work on fitting into before our trip - great inspiration!!!!!

Here's what I had today:
breakfast
2 pieces toast with 1 TBSP PB

lunch
Lean Cuisine Baked Chicken

snack
1/4 cup M&M's (I broke down and bought more at WalMart - they're pink for a good cause and I just couldn't resist)

dinner
4 ounce pork chop (Market Day)
3 ounce baked potato flesh
2 cups romaine lettuce
2 TBSP light done right ranch dressing
2 TBSP brummel and brown margarine

And my totals today so far (heading to church soon so can't eat anymore until I get home): 1104 cals, 54.6 fat, 106.3 carbs

A bit high on the fat but otherwise good. Snack will be something with no fat.

Today I did make up two batches of pizza loaf meat and put it in the freezer for some quick meals the next couple of weeks as we'll be busy. I've kind of planned out our next week. We'll have something on grill tomorrow night as my husband will be in charge so I can go workout, Tuesday will be scalloped potatoes and ham with the leftovers from Friday night, Wednesday will be Subway, Thursday will be pizza loaf and Friday will be something on the grill again. So a few meals are planned out. And I bought quite a few Lean Cuisine meals so I can eat good but quick so I can go walk during lunch once it cools down.

Oh when I went shopping today I had to get a 30 pound container of cat litter. When I was lifting it out of the cart to the counter the checker made a comment about how heavy it was and that she got her muscles worked with that one. I looked at it and thought, it was heavy and for the last 6+ years THAT is what I was carrying on my body!!!!!! (I haven't hit 30 pounds off but I'm at 28.5 and it just hit me how much that truly was) NOT ANYMORE!!!!!!   :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Hope everyone had a good day, and a thoughtful one given the date - God Bless everyone on these boards!!!!! Our country has faced a lot in the last 4 years and I know I'm a better person because of it.

HUGS to everyone!!!!!
Keep on

Okay - I just had to update (couldn't do it before I left for church) but the two shirts I got today at WalMart FIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so excited. I've gone from a 30/32, to a 26/28, to a 22/24!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The two shirts I got last weekend at Kohl's are just a bit snug but I'll be able to wear them in December definitely.

Thanks - had to share cause I was so excited!!!!

Chris - Congratulations!!! :cheer2: I know how awesome it feels when you're clothes become looser and you get to buy smaller ones. Keep up the great work and pretty soon, those will be way too big for you.

Hi Chris,

What a great experience with the cat litter! A purrrfect way to recognize your progress! (Sorry, couldn't resist the pun! hehe)
If the Dark Arts change shocked you, just wait til later on... oooh, it gets good! hehe!!!!
Oh, and congrats on your new shirts fitting!!! I hope that you had a good night!

Mike :goodvibes

Way to go Chris! I know what you mean about the cat litter. I haven't lost 30 lbs but for awhile I had lost 10 - I use to think - no big deal. Then I made myself pick up two bags of 5lb potatoes! I just couldn't believe how heave that was! :)

Your post are so inspiring!

Well, I don't know what I should do but I'm doing it this way. I got up this morning and could feel that I was incredibly bloated. Got on the scale and it said I was up 1.5 pounds. After getting ready this morning and getting into work I realized my fingers didn't feel as bloated as they were when I got up. So I'm probably being bad about this but I'm not changing anything right now. If it's still up tomorrow then I'll change it.

I got this HUGE mug at the fair on Saturday that holds 42 ounces of water and my goal is to drink one in the morning, take it home at lunch and refill it to drink in the afternoon. That will fulfill my water requirements for the day. I think I can do it. It is almost gone for this morning. And it's still cold - so it's a nice mug.

I brought in the darned M&M's to have at my desk for people to come by and grab and I think I need to get them out of my office, I'm too tempted to eat the peanut ones so I have to make sure and count them. I haven't had more than a 1/4 cup so far but I have to get them outta here. Once the peanut ones are gone I'll be okay (it's funny, I never use to really like those before I started losing weight).

I ordered new pants on Thursday and they should be here this week. Can't wait!!!!

I'll try to report in tonight - getting haircut at 5:15 and workout at 6. Gonna be a fast night!!!! :)

Hope everyone has a great day. Keep on
Chris

Chris, loved your kitty litter comment. I've only lost 20lbs but next time I buy dog food or kitty litter, I'm going to think about it as I hoist the bag into my cart.

Great idea for getting in all of your water! Congrats on the 28.5 lbs! :sunny:

Hi Chris,

Just got caught up on your journal!!! Way to go on all the pounds that you have lost! That is awesome. I too need to go through my closet and pull out my fat clothes and get them donated. I was going to do that last week, but then all broke lose at home with the furbaby!

Keep up the great work!

YIPPEE!!!!!!!! That is so cool about your smaller shirts! And you have to get rid of those M&M's! My mom came over yesterday and she proceeded to eat a bag of Almond M&M's she brought (I absolutely LOVE those!) and I was practically salivating all over them. I am so glad I resisted and didn't eat a single one!

You have amazing willpower, keep it up! Just think of how happy your bones are not to be lugging that 28.5 lbs around anymore. Keep it up!

Okay - I feel like the kid in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (I haven't seen Charlie so this is the best I can do) who ate and then started blowing up like a big balloon. I have succeed in drinking 84 ounces of water so far today and I will be working out tonight so that will be at least another 30-42 (depends on how full I can get my mug). But the problem here is I haven't gone to the bathroom that much - I'm sure it will hit while I'm sitting getting my hair cut or while I'm working out!!!!! ROFL

"Violet! You're turning violet, Violet!!!"
hehehehe! Hope that it doesn't hot at a bad time and three cheers for getting your water in!!!

Hi Chris
