Hello everyone. Back from a great weekend of camping. Kate - we are in IL and so it was CHILLY!!!! this weekend. Yesterday and today were absolutely gorgeous and beautiful, back in the 60's. But Friday and Saturday it was chilly - I sat around the fire with winter gloves on, sweatpants, shirt, sweatshirt and coat zipped up with the hood on and still couldn't get warm. But thankfully the heat works well in our camper and we were worried that we'd run out of gas (well my dh actually) so when we came home on Saturday morning to do things we needed to get done (and some meetings) we grabbed a new heater that I got for my room downstairs that has heat radiating all the way around out of it (not a rotating one) and we used that in place of the gas heat in the camper and Sat night and last night I had to get up in the middle of the night and turn it down because I was so hot. But all in all it was a great weekend as my dad got to camp for a few days too - always nice to spend time with my dad.
Food was NOT the greatest this weekend and despite all that I ate, I only gained a pound. I did finally prove to myself that I can make good food choices and still do okay. Some things that I had this weekend were hamburger (no bun no cheese) on the grill and mac and cheese Friday night courtesy of dad; leftover pizza for lunch on Saturday; chicken fingers and about 3 ounces of fries on Sat night for dinner; made pancakes and hash browns for breakfast yesterday (with sugar free syrup which was very tasty); made turkey and beef chili for dinner last night in the crock pot with Pillsbury dinner rolls that are low carb (the wheat ones are VERY good). On top of that Britt and I shared a caramel apple with chocolate, had microwave popcorn, had a couple of almond joy's, had some 100 cal packs, and had a full fledged fudge bar at the camp store yesterday (better than what I wanted). Then this morning we ended up having some condensation on the inside bunk of the camper and the canopy was misted so we had to let it dry out; so we went into town for breakfast and they served these HUGE pancakes (I ate one), american fries (sliced potatoes - about 1 cup), a nice slab of ham of which I had two bites (it was very good), and toast (ate 1 half of a piece). I was for sure I was done for it and had gained about 5 pounds. When we came home I got on the scale and it said I was up 1 pound. Not bad if you ask me. We'll see what it really says tomorrow!!!!!
DD and I took a nice walk yesterday, we went and workout on Saturday morning, and dh and I walked to dad's camper, which was a good hike, on Saturday early afternoon. So I did get some exercise in - a total of an hour.
Hope you all had a great weekend. The other highlight for us was that the Chicago White Sox advanced in the playoffs on Friday night!!!!!

Now we have to just wait and see who they play.
Have a great night.
Keep on

Chris
