Glad to hear that everything is okay!!!!

Congrats on losing. You are doing a great job. I just know that you are going to make your Thanksgiving goal!!!!

Happy Friday!

Glad the doc. appt. went well!

Have a good weekend. Maybe if you stay busy, you wont be tempted to snack, at least that's what I always think, sometimes that works!

Hi Chris!

Just wanted to WISH you a great weekend and congratulate you on the two pounds coming off so quick! :)

Thanks guys.

Hello all - well I yesterday was an okay day. Went out to eat last night with in-laws and had a chicken fajita wrap without the wrap. It was totally not worth the calories - the cheese was icky, it was soggy from oil, just wasn't good. So the scale stayed the same today. Oh I also resisted the popcorn that was set at the table for an "appetizer" but had 3 small pieces of bread (it was good).

Today we worked out (finally). I haven't been able to work out since last Saturday and it wasn't that hard of a struggle for me, which was great. Then we went and worked at the NIU Homecoming football game today at the concessions. I had 1 piece of pizza that was equivalent to 2. We went to my husband's offices tent and I had some pulled pork and onions and peppers without the bun (the pork was AWESOME) and some carrots and celery. I couldn't wait to get home, I was so hungry so I ate the pizza, which was fine. Then when we got home I had some rotisseree chicken (no skin) and had some sesame snack stick things (garlic, regular salted, and unsalted mixed together) that I picked up at the local health food store (yummy). We'll see what the scale says tomorrow. I think it will be fine since I didn't eat much at all. So all in all a good day - got to spend the day with my daughter working for our Habitat chapter which we love to do and NIU beat Eastern Michigan for our homecoming - it was a beautiful day also.

Hope everyone had a great day - tomorrow is laundry and catch up on some Habitat work I have to do. Have a great day - I'll get journals if I can.

Keep on

I am so happy. My scale had not really been moving (well, except for losing that 2 pound gain I had but I don't really count that as moving because it was around the same weight, just juggled a bit) and it moved again today. I'm now down a total of 39 pounds. I'm one away from my next clippie and can just taste it.....

I am now at the weight I was when dh and I started dating 9 years ago. But, you want to know the funny thing - I don't look like I did when I was at this weight 9 years ago!!!! Isn't that funny how our bodies change and we don't really realize it until something like this. It's just weird to me.

So...I'm at a weight that I haven't been at for at least 8 years. I started gaining as we were planning our wedding and was 15 pounds heavier almost 2 years after dating when we got married. So I'm very happy about this. Now the next small goal - to get to the weight that my driver's license says (yes, I have been untrue about that because I didn't want other people to know how much I really weighed - which is wrong I know but in the face picture, it wasn't that much different). That is 5 more pounds.

I'm really going to push myself for these next 11 pounds. I have a DIS meet in 4 weeks and I want to be at 50 pounds off for it (which will also hit me around my 25 pounds off goal for Thanksgiving). I really want to have 50 pounds off when we go to my sister-in-laws for Thanksgiving. We had dinner with my mother- and father-in-law on Friday night and she finally commented on how well dd and I are doing at losing this weight (although Britt has gained a pound from last week but she ate a lot of junk the last two nights). She commented about the things I was passing up at dinner and that I was really restraining myself well (she told my dh this) and that I've been able to do things she would never be able to do. That made me feel good.

Okay - gotta get ready to head off to church and grocery shopping. It's a beautiful day here so going to go out and get some more plants chopped down for the fall/winter and some more garden cleanup and work on my Habitat stuff later this afternoon/evening.

Have a great day everyone!!!
Keep on

You are doing a great job! Congrats on the weight loss! :cheer2: I know you will make your goal! Keep up the good work and have a fabulous Tuesday! :sunny:

Congrats! You are doing so awesome, I don't think you will have any problem meeting your 50 lb goal by Thanksgiving. You make smart choices and you are so motivated to stay on track. You have accepted that this is a lifestyle change, not a diet. You truly are an inspiration to the rest of us!

Keep it up, you are doing great! :cool1:

Look at you! You're doing such a great job!

Congrats on the loss. Keep up the good work. You can do this! :cheer2:

Way to go Chris!!

LOL on the driver's license. I did the same thing - mine was wrong, WAAAAY wrong for so many years, but I did nothing about it. Now it actually says I weigh a bit more than I do, but it's only off by about 5 lbs. Did you know a lot of states don't even include that information? Lucky us that where we live they require that, huh?? :sunny:

Have a good day.

Good morning everyone. The last couple of days have been busy at work and weird so I haven't had a chance to post. I ended up going home on Monday after I got to work because I wasn't feeling well. Well, it appears I may have had some food poisoning which has really thrown my body off - including the immense amount of bloating that has been occurring. This morning I still don't feel quite right and things aren't moving very well. The scale showed I was up 2.5 pounds yesterday but I'm not changing anything because I can feel this increased bloat and horrible "constipation" type feeling in my stomach and I know it's still from this whatever I've been dealing with because I haven't gone over the deep end in eating. I've been drinking my water but not going much. So I'm going to wait it out during the week and see what happens - this morning I had lost a pound of it but was still very bloated and constipated - not normal for me at all. Sorry if TMI. On top of it TOM is on it's way and usually that helps me with this type of bloat but hasn't struck yet so it isn't helping. We'll see what the rest of the week holds.

I haven't been eating very consistently so I haven't been writing anything down either. I did workout last night but no way will hit my goal for exercise again this month and that's very bad for me. I have to get back into a routine. Once we get past Christmas that will become easier but just have to take it day by day. Yesterday I resisted somethings pretty well. I had made a cake to bring in for our bosses for Bosses Day and didn't eat any. But someone else brought in cake for someone's birthday and I had a very very very small piece - probably not even 1/2 inch slice. It didn't taste very good so that was a plus. But I did pretty well until I got home and had a piece of my leftover cake - well half a piece because it was icky too me - double chocolate fudge with chocolate icing - I'm not a big chocolate cake fan. Other than that it was good.

Boss leaves tomorrow for a conference so I'll have some time to do journals but I'm helping host a diversity conference for some students this Friday and Saturday so I'll be busy with that. Monday will be catch up day and rest day!!!!

Have a good day. Off to update the Lose 5 for October.
Keep on

Hey, Chris! Sorry I've been MIA. Hard to keep up on everything, but I have been thinking of you. So happy to hear that your MIL noticed your effort and the results of your efforts and Britt's. Awesome! Sorry you aren't feeling well. Hopefully, the next couple of days will bring relief and then you will see the results on the scale of all your hard work.

Congrats on getting halfway to your October exercise goal. That is awesome! Remember it is only the 19th today. Not far beyond halfway through the month, so it looks like you could get very close to goal, if not all the way there. Keep up the great work! :cheer2:

I hope you get to feeling better soon! :grouphug: I get like that all the time. My body just doesn't work like it's supposed to sometimes...

You will get back into a routine. Congrats on controlling yourself with the cake! Keep that up and you will breeze through the treat-laden holiday season with no problems at all!

congrats on the october lose 5 challenge!! you did awesome and the month isnt over yet!!
hope you are feeling better and get time to relax!

Well, I fessed up - I put a one pound gain back to my total. I have been stuck again in this frame for a couple of weeks and I have to get better control of this. I keep waivering between the same couple of pounds - back and forth, back and forth. TOM is being a real bugger right now and I know that's what this gain is from because I am so extremely bloated in the lower areas of my body but my hands aren't that bloated - which is what happens to me. I also have not been writing down what I've been putting in my mouth like I should - I know that is a HUGE problem for me right now. Last night I dug into those mallow creme pumpkin things - you know the ones that are like candy corn - instant sugar high things. I love them and I bought two bags last weekend to use for cakes and what was left over sat here. I needed something and I went for those - real dumb!!!!! So I'm coming down from a sugar buzz.

Yesterday I did get in 84 ounces of water. I've been very slacking on that as well so I was happy I got that in. Today is an all running day (and tomorrow) as we have this retreat we are doing and I'm the "hostess" for it. I'm home fo a bit in between things doing some laundry and getting some things gathered before I have to go back and get things set up.

So we'll see how the week goes. Got to workout once this week - was going to go this morning and made a big mistake by going into work for a bit to drop some stuff off and left to late to make it. We have this walking video that Britt got at the nutritionist a few weeks ago and so I think I'm going to go down the basement and try it out. Plus I'll be doing a lot of running this weekend.

Sunday is a spa day at Britt's school so we are going to do that - should be a nice relaxing and fun time. Didn't get to do it last year because funds wouldn't allow us. It's suppose to be a great mother/daughter bonding time. Of course going to watch the White Sox in the World Series this weekend too!!!!! GO WHITE SOX!

Hope everyone has a great couple of days. I will catch up sometime soon again - I apologize for not being able to again lately.

Keep on
Chris

Your loss may have slowed down a bit, but I'm sure once you get back on track (ditch those pumpkins!) you will start the scale moving again! I am also getting nervous because there is always so much candy after Halloween. I only allow my kids 1-2 pieces per day, so it lasts until Christmas or later...

You have come so far, don't get frustrated! :goodvibes
