HI all....I am wondering if you can help me....

We got an offer from Disney today to upgrade our cat 12 on a July cruise to a cat 9. Is this normal? If we wait longer would it get better? If we take the 9 would they offer again for even higher?

Any info would be appreciated!

Thank you!!

Kristin

Free upgrade? Or pay to upgrade?

If free, I'd take it.

hello, this will be my official First post i guess ! I have worked in the Cruise industry before so i may be able to help maybe not. The cruise lines do sometimes offer upgrades like this, but not that often. If you think its worth it to make the jump, then go for it. I would do it for $150, you don't want to be in an inside cabin if you can help it. Its REALLY nice to wake up and see the ocean and to get some natural light in the room, it makes for a better start of the day, in my opinion. They don't usually call too many times though, if you want to do it, do it now. You may not get another chance.

Kristin, I know nothing about cruises, but wanted to say good luck! :)

From your countdown clock, it looks like you're on a 3-day cruise. That's $50/day to have a window and a split bathroom. While I like having natural light in the cabin, it isn't worth $50 a day to me. Turn on your cabin TV to the channel that shows the cruise cam and you'll see daylight in the morning.

If it were me, I'd skip the $150 upgrade and take my chances with the cabin assignment. You might still be in an inside cabin, or you might get lucky and get a cat. 9.
