We are so excited about our 4 day cruise starting Oct 5.
As we will be leaving from one of the Disney Resort Hotels but returning to Universal I am considering using a towncar rather than Disney transfers
What time should we arrange to be picked up on the embarkation day and approximately what time should we arrange pick up on the last day?
I'll have to organise tis soon!
Thanks

Hi disneymummy and I wanted to say welcome to the DIS!!!

What time you get to the Port depends on whether or not you mind standing in long lines. If you don't mind and want to be in the first "wave" of guests on the ship (sorry, couldn't resist!), I would arrange the pickup at 10:30 am from the Disney Resort. It takes an hour and 10 minutes or so from the resorts to the Port and then you can get checkin and get in line for when they open up the ship (between noon and 12:30 usually). I prefer to wait until that group has gone in and try to arrive at the Port around 12:15-12:30 and it is faster to get in with less waiting in line. I still have time to get my Palo and spa reservations (check the welcome letter at checkin for the times and places) and we do that as soon as we get on the ship or at the designated time.

For disembarkation day, you must be off the ship by 9 am and I usually ask the FL Tours driver to pick us up then. There is a coupon on the DIS (found here) that you can use for round-trip transfers and you can find more information on rates at this link.

Hope that helps and you'll find a wealth of info here on the DIS!
