I have been on the Universal Studios Forum here on the dis as well as the resort forum,,good information,,plus I was recommended and got:

We too are really interested in the Pub,,just up our alley.

Thanks for the book recommendation. I'll definately be checking out the US boards here (I love getting first hand reviews) but the book will probably come in handy as well).

I thought we might book one night over at one of the hotels in the area to get the extra benefits. WOW was I shocked at the price of the rooms. The cheapest was $349 for a standard view room. No economy rooms there!

From reading the forums and the books,,AAA offers room discounts, as does signing up with Loews Hotels which we have done because they offer special discounts. We are thinking about staying at the PBR because of the pool. I don't think the rates are out yet for 2012 in our time frame.

I'll check with AAA. You're right the rates aren't published yet online. I kept getting the "Sorry we have no rooms available at any of the hotels" message so I called the reservation number and they gave me those rates. We have a studio booked for OKW for the week right now, but we want to try and switch to WLV at the seven month mark so I'll check then to see if we can get a discounted rate at that time.

It is with sad news that we will not be on the Fantasy cruising. Unfortunately we just found out this cruise conflicts with our dd's Competition Cheer schedule so we had to reschedule. You all have a great time and we will be on the Fantasy later than sooner!! We will still have a great time on the Magic!

On another note, I was listening to the Disunplugged Disneyland edition, and they mentioned something that other cruisers were doing for their FE gifts, and that was a donation to Give Kids the World.

Sounded like a fantastic idea to me -- thought I'd share it to get the ball rolling for this cause.

It is with sad news that we will not be on the Fantasy cruising. Unfortunately we just found out this cruise conflicts with our dd's Competition Cheer schedule so we had to reschedule. You all have a great time and we will be on the Fantasy later than sooner!! We will still have a great time on the Magic!

Hi everyone! Just stopping by to say hello. There are 6 of us in our party- me, DH, DD-5, DD-2, and my DM and DD. This will be our 4th Disney cruise, my parents 3rd. Booked this one on the Panama Canal Repo in January. Anyone else on that cruise? Just changed to inside room-really want to have a magical porthole! Will definitely be doing the FE gift exchange-had so much fun with it on our last cruise. Looking forward to getting to know everyone!

Welcome!!!! This will be our second cruise and our DS 6's first. But our first isn't until Dec 1. We are so excited!!! Although we are keeping this a surprise for our DS. He will actually find out at Christmas.

I was really hoping to get the girls together. I still haven't told my niece about the cruise, just incase we too have to cancel. My job is very unstable but keeping my fingers crossed!

Tomorrow it is 300 days until this cruise. I also noticed they updated the photo on the Meyer Werft webcam that is showing the Fantasy being built.

Have a fantastic time at WDW - the fireworks are fantastic. If you are staying anywhere near the Studios watch the skys a couple of days before the 4th (long after the park is closed). They do a test run of the studio fireworks. We were staying at the Boardwalk one year and had a special show from our balcony (it was fantastic and totally unexpected).

Do any of you know anything about the age limits at the kids club? Specifically, DD 2, will be 2 months shy of 3 years old at the time of sailing. She is well on her way to being potty trained. Any chance you think they would let her go to Oceaneers and not Flounder's? She will really want to be with her big DS-6.

I would check with your travel agent (or maybe try calling Disney), I just looked up the info on the kids clubs on a couple of sites and it didn't say anything about kids that are close in age. You might just post this question on the Cruise Board and see if you can get some actual experience report.

I was just "Fantacizing" about this cruise today... and realized I have not posted in a long time

Hope everyone is doing great! We are very busy with our summer fun, just got home from our family vacation to Beaches Turks & Caicos (AMAZING)!! And now enjoying weekend cook outs with family and friends.

I am getting more and more excited for this cruise, as I work on my FE gift ideas
