Cruise Docs... Good News/Bad News

Good News -- Just r'cvd cruise docs for May 3 Magic Eastern!

Bad News -- No docs in package for our daughter!

Called DCL and they say her docs were shipped to another address!?! Young lady was very nice and assured us the mistake would be corrected. Told us to call back in two days to be sure they have shipped.

Time to start packing!

Something similar happened to us. We got someone else's tickets and they got ours. At first, I thought DCL upgraded us to a verandah stateroom. Then I noticed the name. Not ours! Oops! I called Disney and received our correct documents within 48 hours. By the way, we had and still received an inside stateroom.

Our docs were shipped UPS for our upcoming cruise

I remember someone posting recently that DCL made the switch from FedEx to UPS for documents.

Does FedEx still sponor Space Ship Earth at WDW??

FedEX was the sponsor at Space Mountain, but they are no longer the sponsor. AT&T was the sponsor for Space Ship Earth, but I think I heard that their sponsorship expired and they didn't renew.

I have always gotten mine by US Postal Service!!!!!!
And as of today, I am still patiently waiting......

HI everyone! I was under the impression that you don't get your cruise docs until about 2 wks before your sail date. Is this not true? Do they send them to people as they pay off the balance?

I was just wondering because we are going on May 25th.

This is our third cruise and we have always r'cvd out docs 4 to 6 weeks prior. I have heard of others not getting theirs until 2 weeks prior. We didn't pay off our balance until almost the last minute so I don't think that has anything to do with the mailing.

We went through the DVC and we were told our docs would be sent to us about three weeks before our cruise in August.

A little insight here on receiving docs. If you book air through DCL the flights are not assigned specifically until 30 days out and then your docs are shipped. Those without air through DCL are more likely to get them a little earlier.

(we do book air through DCL and yes we've looked at this from many angles but it is best for us)

I booked air once through Disney; the other cruises I did my own deals and have been very pleased with my results.

I've always received my documents 6-8 weeks before the trip, so this is a bit strange for me to not have them by now. BUT since my good friend Andy has provided me with morale support and promises of shrimp, well, I am learning to cope with the stress!

The shrimp should be arriving any minute now, but, I really wouldn't hold my breath waiting!!!
