Cruise Bus pick up places?

Does the DCL bus only pick up at the WDW resorts or do they also pick up at any of the Downtown Disney Resorts?

Do the busses come every so often or are their certain times (from the orlando airport pick up)? If you get in the night before and stay at the airport do you need to tell disney you want to be on the bus or just get on? Oh yeah one more question (sorry) what time do you get there if you take the bus or is it better to rent a car? Thank you so much!
