Cruise benefits?

I know that resales can't do the member cruise, but I read something about DVC perks on regular cruises. Are there special things for DVC members?

On DCL cruises, there are meetings for members as well as meetings for perspective members. At the members meetings, there usually are cocktails, a gift like a portfolio or a string DVC bag, and a chance to win a $200 on board credit. On our WBPC cruise last week, there was a Wednesday party with bites to eat, Mickey Rice Krispie Treats as well as adult beverages.

You also get a door magnet and a Pirate Mickey DVC pin. There are often give-aways when you show up at the desk, sometimes daily. We do not often get these little things, there is only so much room in our luggage!

I do always go for the pin. They are fun to trade.

Yes, there is no distinction made as to how you bought your points.

Note that the cocktail reception is limited alcohol and the drinks aren't very strong - but on the other hand, its a cocktail reception - get there early.

And she forgot the DVC lanyard (the Castaway Club one is way more comfortable).

I had 3 drinks at one reception on our cruise this past spring, and I was feeling pretty good.
