we just want to say goodbye as we will leave for the airport in less than 2 hours. Please keep this thread humming
If you have any update requests, send them to the usual adress, RellingTwin (Thank you, Mary) has full access to our mail-account and we will be back in a fortnight anyway - How come, that vacation is always so short
The weatherforecast for Fuerteventura is absolutely great with temps in the 80ies, no risk for precipitation, steady winds of about 10 to 20 knots (Fuerteventura means "strong winds) for the the next weeks. So we should be able to get a tan. Please keep your fingers crossed, that we don't break any bones, as we will participate in an Inlineskating-Workshop including a halfpipe. But we carry extra insurance
We all hope that there is no repetition of last September's dreadful events and our thoughts will be with you and all Americans during that sad anniversary.

I hope all who read this thread will hug their family extra tight tomorrow. It will be a very sad day for all of us
I will always remember fondly sailing with the 9/22/02 gang, so shortly after that terrible day, and watching the news unfold on CNN during the cruise. It was very nice to be with so many people who shared our sadness.

Remember to drive with headlights on tomorrow.

I actually had Wed off so I got all the laundry done and cleaned house so when DH got home we packed everything. Now all we have are last minute details to take care of and we will be out of here after work on Friday. DCL here I come. 2 whole weeks of not having to do anything except apply more sunscreen.
In case I don't get back on before we leave, I just wanted to say to everyone going on the 28th, to have a great time. We'll try to keep it in one piece for ya.

Hi Rosemary, looking forward to our Cruisetoberfest II also! A week from today we will be leaving here to go on our 3rd Disney cruise with a bunch from last year. Wish you were coming with us. Take care, Hello to everyone else.

Okay, I have been faithfully lurking on this topic and the 9/28/02 topic as well.

First of all, I hope all is well with everyone. To all of you leaving next week, please have a great cruise and warm the ship up for me. John and I will be going on 10/19 with another couple to celebrate a 50th birthday, not mine!!

Second, we are considering this cruise for next year, but will not decide till spring, so we are maybe's.

It's been a little tough this year, physically. I had back surgery in April and cataract surgery in May. I guess I needed a spring tune-up. All went well. I hope all of you are doing well but Papa, I was sorry to hear how you were feeling. The cruise should be good for you.
