Rosemary hope that you and everone are doing well.

Have to run and turn off the coffee pot. Mike

Hi all -

I hope everyone had a great Labor Day weekend. Chris and I spent the weekend in Chicago. I was supposed to have my HS reunion on Sunday, but at the last minute it was cancelled, due to insufficient attendance. However, we already had our plane tickets and hotel reservations, so we just decided to go and visit friends and family. Plus, we got to eat all of the Chicago food that we miss here in FL (deep dish pizza, good mexican food, italian beef sandwiches, etc). Ohh, I can still taste it all!!! Also, The weather was great Sat/Sun, but today was rainy. We're just glad to be back in sunny Florida.

Again, I hope everyone had a great weekend.

Hi Everyone, Getting Very excited about our first cruise. Less then 4 weeks to go! Summer is over, kids have been back in school for 3 weeks, and work is as busy as ever. My "second job" is wanting me back, I took the summer off. I'm thinking of working every Sat. after we get back from our Sept. cruise. That will help pay for Oct 2003.
Rosemary, can't even start to talk about the 9/11 thing without crying. Just know we are with all of you in spirit.

Shoot!!! I just typed up a long response to all and lost it on my computer!!!! Because my computer is old and stinky. So, I moved over to Richard's computer but there is no way I can retype all that I wrote...and I wrote something to everyone!!! Dang it!!

 TO ALL. You guys will have to settle for just a wave for now.

Hi Folks,

I just mailed the third edition of our list. Don't get confused by the two mails:
the first has the list attached as a WORD.doc,
the second has the list attached as an ACROBAT.pdf.
The mails are identical, except for the attachments, there is no need to download both of them. The mail with the WORD-File is the smaller one (Perhaps better for the owners of conventional modems).
Dan&Scott: Please tell me, wether you were able to read this one.

ERIC,

You are my HERO! Yes I was able to open it and it looks GREAT! You are so good at this. Is there anything I can do to help you out with this task? (Remember I am not very techinical! I guess I buy you a drink.)

Dan

Eric is great at this list thing but you, Dan, are funny!!! ..."not very technical".... "buy you a drink".....LOL :p ;) :teeth:

Whadda you think??? ;)

You've made me laugh from before we ever met. :teeth:

Thanks!

I want you to know that my DW is driving me crazy over the 10/11/03 cruise. She wants to go with ya'll. She is trying to figure out how we can move our September cruise to November and go on the 10/11.

We had a great time on the cruise this past weekend and have great memories of Cruisetoberfest I. When we were on the cruise they had "special rates" for booking future cruises, but 10/11 wasn't one of the ones they were offering good discounts. You guys must have the ship filled up already so they don't need to give discounts.

We will keep you posted (no pun intended)!

Kevin

Hope your family can join the Cruisetoberfest II. I read with amusement your posts on the silent auction. Sorry it didn't work out for you, but thanks for the heads up. Quite a debate you started there.

We took DD off to the University of Delaware this weekend. Didn't get to see Sandee from Cruisetoberfest I though. DW has a severe case of DD withdrawal.

Hope everyone is doing well.

Dave

Thanks, Eric! But in my case, sending me both downloads both, because I use a POP mail account (Eudora or Outlook depending on my mood). However, I will choose to view only the Word doc. I of course have Acrobat, and use it when I have to, but I really detest PDF files because the same info and graphics can be viewed much quicker in either HTML or a Word doc, even after the files are already on one's local drive. So THANK YOU SO MUCH for still providing it in Word! :teeth: And have a GREAT trip!

Hello Kevin, Dave and bunch.

Dave you and Ellen have a wonderful cruise on the 21st and just leave the ship in good condition for us cruisears cruisers on the 28th:bounce:

Rosemary I think that you are going to have to drive to Ohio to collect that drink;) Mike

DCL-FAN and Cheese Please - I just read the most recent posts on the silent auction thread. My, MY! It's a good thing this is an online board and not a face-to-face confrontation! I'm going to speak MY mind about it on THIS thread - A "Silent Auction" is supposed to be an auction where a bid sheet remains on the table until the auction CLOSES. If two hot bidders each have their own pen (always a good idea!) and hover closely by the bid sheet, they can TAKE TURNS upping each other's bids. But NO WAY is it ethical for the bid sheet to become inaccessible prior to the close of all bidding. And as for immediately bidding the MOST you are willing to pay - - HUH? The ONLY time I would ever do that is if I knew I could not return to place another bid, and absolutely had to have an item. There, I've said it. No flames, please. ;)

So how is everyone doing?? :jester:

Taswira! Papa! CheesePlease! DCL-Fan! - So happy to see you guys posting again. Great news, Kevin. I was hoping Sue would work on ya to change plans. But that is NOT good news for papa and RellingTwin and her sis and Dan/Scott who I believe are all planning to book 10/11/03 on this year's cruises at a good discount/rate/whatever. However, by booking on board, one DOES get shipboard credit one would not get otherwise, correct?

Even though Richie is staying at home, I can understand what you guys are going through. Best wishes to your DD as she begins her freshman year down in Delaware.

DCL-Fan, Cheese, Taswira, Dan/Scott - I have definite opinions about what went on with that thread but I will not post it to a public forum.

Mike - Nah! Drive to Ohio is unnecessary. Dan will definitely be on the 10/11/03 and he will dare NOT forget this time! ;) (I'll think I'll start posting in teal again]

Hi Dan,
I'm happy to hear that you were able to read the list at last. Offering a drink is very generous of you and I gladly accept, thanks a lot - I just got a question: Do they serve Pina Coladas in buckets, too :p ?

Kevin,
we're glad to hear that you're considering to join us again!!!!

I just sent Update 3.1 as I forgot to put Twinave (Rellingtwin's sister) on the list - Sorry, Ave !!!!

Back to page one. Rosemary it was great to talk to you last night. You and Rich were snazzy dressers on the last cruise.

Dan how is the new van? Too bad that you can't have that new car smell all the time.

Take care all. Mike
