Good morning all! We had a great weekend! Too bad it is over and time once again to earn some $
Eric and Anja...glad you had a fun weekend too.

I did get some Christmas shopping done this week end. I hope to buy a few items each weekend from now on. I also will be doing some internet/ebay shopping!

Thumb is doing well. Stitches are out and we are no longer wearing a bandage. We had 16 deaths here in TN due to tornadoes and high winds.

Have to run as DGD is in her swing and Kathy will be getting home in just a few minutes. Mike

I see that we are using the same strategy for our xmas-shopping , but nevertheless I will surely be left with some last-minute-shopping on xmas-eve

glad to hear that your thumb is getting better, sorry to hear about the fatalities in TN. Strange that it didn't make the news over here or we just missed it due to our family weekend.

Well, we are officially official. We booked our cruise this morning through DVC. I am so excited. Up to this point, I knew that we were booking, but it didn't seem real until I received that confirmation number.

11 months to go from today!!!!

Good Morning to all,

Eric, we saw the Starlight Express when we were in London last year. It was great. The kids really enjoyed it. Although my son wasn't crazy about some of the singing. He loved the roller blading!

Our new little puppy is all house trained! Yee ha! it really didin't take too long. Next week he goes in to get "fixed" and then all we have to do is get him away from his fixation with ripping up paper and anything else he finds on the floor. The two goldens are being so patient with him. He is really small compared to them (long haired daschound) but I believe he thinks he is a big dog. HE gets right in there when they play. Enough about the dog.

Mary, I too have started Christmas shopping. It is pretty easy this year as we are getting each kid their own computer and that is it. I think they will like them though, However they won't be hooked up to the internet. Now just got to get the presents for godmothers, parents and grandparents.

now the storms made the prime time news - It's already past 7pm here and we just saw the horrible pics from Alabama, Tennessee, Ohio, Pennsylvania and so on. TN obviously had to pay the highest deathtoll with 16 fatalities. All these extreme weather phenomena are very difficult to understand for us Europeans as we have fortunately a more moderate climate (For the time being, but it's getting worse as the floods this summer proved). Our feelings are with you.
I will try to get in touch with Kim in TN (Who couldn't join Cruisetoberfest), because she lives near Knoxville and our newscaster said that the Twisters hit the area around Knoxville very hard.

Eric it was 81 degrees here yesterday, and tomorrow night it is going down to 39. Most of the deaths were in the eastern part of the state.

Hope that everyone is doing well and it is getting closer to the cruise all the time. Gee isn't it October yet???

I"m Still here ..... going Googy BUT still here. I really think all little kids should be taught to use both hands equally cause this one hand dominant stinks when that one is in a cast. Still working with my left hand (and not TOO well). I was supposed tosee my surgeon tomorrow but his Dad just died suddenly and I got cnacelled. It will be two weeks Wednesday for the cast and stitches. BIG UGH!

Art & I went to the Penn State Game and we won ... that was good.

We did some Christmas shopping Sunday & today. Got some stuff ... bought 6 of the same Big Boy toys at Home Depot. Got some of the boys and small hairy kids (dogs) done. Still ned more for AshLee and got some ideas for Art.

Also got some craft ideas in my head ,,, just wish my paw was better to be able to do some of them.

Talked to Kathy (Mrs PaPa) tonite and reallllllllly glad they (and their family) were spared from the tornadoes.

Going to try and search for somrthing 'German Mickey' for a logo for name tags for Cruisetoberfest II. Wondering if you guys want your real names with your DIS handles underneath?

Seems we are missing a few people ......Dan, Rosemary, Dave ...you guys OK?

That's it for me ... too frustrated cause this takes me forever when i am usually a pretty quick typer.

OK, we are checking in as well. We also survived the tornados, one hit our town but was a good 15 miles from us!

I do have some news to report! My sister and her partner is joining us on the cruise! I feel like RellingTwin out there getting people to join us LOL! They are in Stateroom # 7625 Mom in #7620 and Scott and I in #7621. Viking and Tawira is also in the same hallway right close to us! Viking I will mail all info to you in the morning!

@goofynut- what are you getting me for christmas? I've been a good boy all year!

Has anyone heard from Tulirose or DCLFan lately?

Just back from the high school hockey game. It just isn't the same when you don't have a child playing. Sold admission tickets and then read my book.

On Sat we went to watch DS #2 hockey game at University of Pitt-Johnstown. Since it was an away game, only got to visit with him for about 20 minutes total. Next weekend we are going out to his college since he will have a game Friday night and Sat evening and then can visit some with him. Soon both boys will be home for Thanksgiving. Plus the Thanksgiving tournament will be finished, then only one more to go.

I'm glad everyone is safe and were spared from the tornados paths.

Eric sounds like you had a great weekend. Cathy take care of your hand. Mike glad he thumb is healing.

I have done a little Christmas shopping this past week. However, I am like Elaine both boys are getting computers so not alot to buy otherwise. Since the weather was so warm this past weekend, we actually put our Christmas lights up outsde. However, I won't turn them on until Thanksgiving.

Have sent out updates to some of you. Thanks for everything, you are a great group and appreciate your support.

Now off to bed for me, long day and need to get some sleep.

perhaps some of the cast from London were in Bochum because they nearly all were from The States or UK.
The next Musical we're plan to see is "The Lion King" in Hamburg, which has been running very succesfully for a year now.

We're booked on the 10-11-03 cruise also!

We used our DVC points to book part of it, so had to wait till yesterday to book. We've been keeping up with reading the thread, but didn't want to post till we were sure we'd be able to get it.

There will be myself, my husband, our 9 yo son, and my MIL. It will be our first time cruising and we're so excited!

Eric, I'll hit the link in one of your posts and send you our info for the list.

It's cooler, gray and damp here in Ohio today, but glad the storms have passed. We were lucky compared to some in TN and northwest OH.

Welcome to the group! As Viking has said we are also from Ohio, Mansfield to be exact. On our last cruise (9/22/01) all the people from Ohio brought candy Buckeyes with us and gave them out, Anja (Vikings wife) really enjoyed them so I guess that we are being forced to do it again.

Dan and Scott, we are fairly close to you in Ohio. We're in Barberton, about an hour away, I think. Now, do you make the candy from a recipe or can I just go to Harry London's and buy some?

Will any of the Cruisetoberfest II group be at WDW over the holidays? We'll be there Dec 29 - Jan 3rd.

Yep, we know where Barberton is. My sister (who is also joining us on the cruise) is from Dover, so real close to you!

Buckeye, no receipe here, just directions to Harry Londons! You know since you said the name, wonder if the Harry Londons store by the Akron/Canton airport is any cheaper? Last year we just bought a full case of them, well the small display cases that they sell them out of. Actually last year we had 3 ladies from the Akron area. They were so much fun!

Papa- How does the shirt fit Kathy? Is the color ok? The UPC code you gave me was for a red shirt so I just assumed that you wanted red. If not I have the reciept, which you wanted me to mail with it LOL, sorry!

Viking (anja) looks like the buckeye supply will be ample next year. How about I send you some for the Holidays?

@GoofyNut- did you notice the "Candy Man" was not on the ship this year? You know who I am talking about right?

Tulirose- WHERE ARE YOU? I just found out today that I might be in NY early next month for work. I would love to see you (and that way you wouldn't have to mail me my christmas gift!) LOL I guess I will be in the Long Island area, is that close to you?

Dan - Just what I need to get out of my funk! Actually, I've been sick. I'm a slow healer but I am on the mend. Rich and I have also been keeping pretty busy even though he was sick too (I had it worse!).

Anyway, I first want to say that we are happy Mike and Kathy and loved one are safe. We were worried yesterday when we heard what went on in Tennessee.

Secondly, Dan we would love to meet up with you on your trip to L.I. I hope it comes through. What town are you suppose to be going to? Where are you suppose to fly into? (LaGuardia, Kennedy or, hopefully, Islip). I'll cook a better dinner for you than I did for Mary and her son, George. Or, you can take us out! Whatever!

Welcome aBoard!!!! Last Sept was my first cruise so I know how you feel. I met these wonderful Disers thru my sis. Our trip was wonderful. Of course we didn't go to any of the ports we were suppose to because of Lili, but I didn't care. Everywhere we went there were Disers smiling and having a great time.
